MAR - Museo d’Arte della Città di Ravenna

Temporary exhibitions are often thoughtfully curated and add variety, making repeat visits worthwhile.

The exhibitions were amazing. The incredible artworks that can be done with mosaics is impressive. I really recommend it to tie the whole Ravenna itinerary!

Really cool modern art museum combined with classical art. I loved the contemporary mosaic exhibition. Very cool to visit if you have the chance. We spent about two hours here.

So satisfying. There are a lot to see! There is little English explanation.

This is a nice museum, however, it is focused mostly on religion pieces. There is a section dedicated only for sacred art. In a city where most attractions are in churches, having this section as permanent is almost redundant. It must be nice to see more of modern and contemporary art. The interior garden is quite nice to see.

Beautiful collection. Not a lot of people here (on a Sunday in August). Interesting insights on the developments in mosaic art.
