Safari Camp located on the edge of the Masai Mara NP, really close to all the safari action. Nicely set up, with both hardside and tent cabins. Quite shaded and cool as well - a nice feature. |Access is across a footbridge over the Talek River. |My cabin was comfortable, with a nice-sized bathroom and a reasonably comfortable bed. The power went off a couple of times overnight but was mostly operable during my stay. The hot water for showers is solar, so it isn't tremendously hot or plentiful, but it was enough for my needs. |There is a nice main pavilion for gathering, with a bar and restaurant. The food is plentiful but not memorable - I think they try too hard to please U.S. tourists' palates when they should be showcasing their own local and regional cuisine. |The staff is friendly and welcoming. They have a spa that gives excellent (they tell me) massages for very cheap prices. There is also a swimming pool that looked clean and usable, but I didn't see anyone using it while I was there. |Overall, a very good experience.

Good lodge. I loved the tent room and the property. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. Educated on keeping room locked due to the monkeys that may enter your room. Food was just ok..could be more tasty seasoned. Just could be a little better. Good budget accommodations. If you want a budget safari location including meals, this is it. This camp is located on marai Masa. As I stated 6 my review of the Marai masa reserve, the roads need to be improved they are too bumpy

I was blown away upon arrival. It’s such a beautiful place to stay for your safari trip. They welcome you with a warm towel and juice and help you bring your stuff to your room. Our room was clean, beautiful and the safari lodge vibe with a lookout of the river. The beds were so comfortable with fluffy blankets and pillow. We enjoyed each meal that was a buffet with a variety. My friend and I got a massage for only $35/hr and it was one of the best I’ve had. That staff are very friendly . Overall 10/10 experience.

Huge disappointment for our last two nights in Kenya. We had a glamour tent - which you needed to zip open then lock with a padlock due to the baboons. Where do I start - there is very poor lighting inside the tent and out, I fell through the wooden steps leading to the tent(wood and wide apart) due to lack of lighting, severely bruising my lower leg. Need to use the light on our mobile to lock and unlock padlock to zip. Light on the desk inside kept flickering out and bathroom just a small top light and one around the mirror. Only provided on shampoo and one body wash for 2 people. Charging sockets only working on the floor. The bar on the first night did not have any red wine and the white wine was hot. The staff only seemed to have one billing book between them so when trying to pay the bar tab at night the gentleman shook his head and said we could try tomorrow!! For the food - well the first night was really poor with hardly any selections and the next morning they were not ready for us to have breakfast as we wandered in and they still did not have half the food out.

Tents not maintained. Baboons come in opening the velcro. No intercoms in room. No wifi in room. Walk paths are dark. The area is good. They could have made it better for a great stay. Food fur Indians can be tough though restaurant people are good..

Mara Leisure Camp was a delightful glamping experience while on our safari trip with EF Go Ahead tours. The accommodations were very spacious canvas tents with wooden platform floors, fully furnished with comfortable beds and chairs, big front porches facing the river, and spacious individual bathrooms built on the back of each tent. The lodge was lovely with a beautiful dining room and bar. The head chef, Dixon, did an excellent job and even provided us with box lunches for a picnic lunch one day while on safari. They also have a beautiful lobby where you can access wifi if you cannot stand to be unplugged in this beautiful place. They even had a beautiful pool in this remote magical place. I will definitely be back !!

This is a magical place to stay. We had two nights here and could have happily stayed much longer! All the staff were so attentive and immediately looked after all our needs. The chef was incredibly enthusiastic and welcoming, really wanting us to enjoy everything he had to offer and never seeming to stop working... We stayed in tented rooms right next to the river, and felt very secure and safe there. There are fences and the area is also patrolled by hotel staff 24/7. The rooms are beautifully furnished and very atmospheric. One tip - a head torch is very useful when packing before sunrise! There is electricity and lighting in the room but even so it was helpful to be able to shine a little more light into the dark corners of my suitcase.... It's also well located for getting out on game drives. Would love to return and maybe I will....
