Mara Sopa Lodge

We had an amazing stay at the Mara Sopa Lodge last week over a two nights stay. The property is well maintained and views are breathtaking. We enjoyed all our meals and drinks at the restaurant & bar along with the courteous hospitality. We were also delighted to view the documentary which was followed by a colorful performance by the Masai troupe. Enjoyed the show and thankful to the Sopa Lodge for this opportunity. Got some items from the Masai Women stall too and the gift shop. All the staff were very helpful and warm especially with my husband who had restricted mobility (a cast foot) and needed wheelchair assistance. Just a small mention - the path is not wheelchair friendly- it was a big struggle moving up & down to our parked vehicle. Hair dryer is not provided in the room, however, one can procure it with a deposit of $20, which I accidentally happen to see a lady take one from the reception area. We definitely had a good pleasant stay and enjoyed the game drives. What a feast for the eyes. We left contented for our next destination- Serengeti! Asante Sana for these sweet memories 😊

We had a wonderful stay at Mara Sopa Lodge. The accommodation was fantastic—clean, comfortable, and full of character. The staff were all friendly and attentive, and Dominic in the restaurant went out of his way to ensure we were well looked after. The service throughout was excellent, and the setting of the lodge is truly breathtaking. We couldn't fault a single thing and would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Mara.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. The food was wonderful, and Alex, our waiter, provided excellent service during meals. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the room attendant, Cornelius, was there to ensure we lacked nothing. We appreciate all the staff, including Ludi, the manager, the receptionists, the hostesses, and the kitchen staff, who worked behind the scenes to ensure everything was superb. We look forward to spending another Holiday at the Lodge.

We had a very nice stay at this Sopa. The grounds are lush and beautiful. The view is stunning and peaceful. The food is excellent. The staff are friendly and attentive. My only concern is how hot the hot water in the room sink and shower get and that it could burn someone. If it’s possible to turn it down or give a warning that would be good. Everything else was great. The food was excellent. Amazing taste, preparation and variety. The service was very friendly and attentive. It was a wonderful family getaway. We loved our stay!

Great hotel very close to the Masaii Mara. We stayed here 3 nights. They have a small shop at the very front near the entrance with some really neat stuff and fairly decent prices. The lounge was nice but it was open air (not a problem, just noting it). Dining room was very spacious and all meals were served buffet style. We only ate breakfast and dinner there. Breakfast had many choices of fresh juices, breads, cereals (including hot and lots of toppings), vegetables, fruits, eggs, meats, and some made to order options. Dinner had breads, salads, tons of veggies, many indian or indian inspired foods, meats, and made to order pastas and fruit and desserts. They also prepared us bush lunches twice that were a ton of food and very tasty. |There was a small acrobat show one night (not very impressive as it was an older gentleman and a 10 year old) but they were very cute. Another night they had male and female members of the Masaii Tribe come and sing and dance for the group. They did their traditional Adumu jumping dance and it was really cool to see in person. |Everyone at this hotel was really friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place!

We had 2 neighbouring lodges, which||were rustic but spacious, clean and||comfortable. The staff would prepare||the rooms each night and spray insect||repellent. Set amongst the wildlife||and it's peaceful at night. We enjoyed||the spacious reception/ lounge area||with the warming fireplace and the||talks and masaai dances that took||place there in the evening. The food||was amazing, breakfast, lunch and||dinner, with a variety of dishes to suit||all appetites and we got to try some||local dishes too, however the Indian||food was particularly good. The hotel||provided a huge picnic box for each of||us, it had a large variety of very tasty||and nutricious items- probably the best||picnic box l've ever had!

Located inside the forested part of Masai Mara, this lodge was excellent as a base for our Safaris during the start of the great migration. All staff was very helpful, everything was clean and the food was great. There was always a selection of international and local food. There was actual working hotel wifi in the common areas.

Tha staff was amazing, they were friendly and welcoming. I felt very safe. The main lobby was warm and inviting. Our waiter, Davis made me feel like I was the only one in the room, he was very attentive. Last but not least, the chef was excellent. Your log receives a 10 out 10 🌟!
