Staying at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge truly elevated my entire safari experience. The lodge is beautifully set in the middle of the savanna — from the terrace at sunset, you can literally spot giraffes and antelopes passing in the distance. The view alone makes it worth staying here.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and surprisingly cozy for such a remote location. Electricity and hot water are available during specific hours, but that’s completely normal for the area. Waking up at sunrise to pure silence and the sounds of the wild is something I’ll never forget.
The staff is warm, attentive, and always ready to help. Even the breakfast boxes they prepare before early-morning safaris are thoughtful and well-prepared. Dinner was much better than I expected — tasty, varied, and fresh.
Yes, the road leading to the lodge can be rough, but once you arrive, it’s absolutely worth it. If you want a comfortable, safe, and authentic place to stay inside Masai Mara, I can highly recommend Sopa Lodge.
