Mara Sopa Lodge

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our safari and it was lovely!||Great location with great views. ||The staff were attentive and welcoming. The food was varied and very nice, much of which was cooked fresh infront of you. ||The only downside was that the tables were set up as a group, we were told it was not possible to sit on our own (we were on honeymoon and wanted our dinners just the two of us)!.||Great priced drinks. Great rooms and the mosquito nets are very effective- the staff even help you put them up every night.

A very well deserved 5 stars! What a beautiful hotel! The food was EXCEPTIONAL ! Massive praise needs to go the Chefs and waiters! Absolutely superb with an amazing choice! Added to that was the fantastic service with a special mention to Dennis and Nickson who were the perfect level of attentive and so nicely friendly - it really made a difference! Would very very highly recommend and would definitely return or encourage others to stay here!

We had a wonderful stay at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge during our safari. The lodge is beautifully set on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, with cool|nights, which was perfect to escape the heat from Florida in September! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the grounds were filled with birdlife and lush gardens that made it feel like a true escape into nature. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the meals were plentiful and delicious after long days of game drives. I can’t stress how great the staff was! They assign you a table for your stay and Augustin our waiter was so nice and welcoming. Waking up to the sounds of the bush and coming back to cozy evenings by the fire made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Masai Mara!

I would like to sincerely thank the two restaurant staff members, Benson and Julius, for their attentive service and great dedication during my stay. They were always professional, caring, and made us feel truly welcomed. Their effort and commitment to their work really stood out, and we deeply appreciate it.

The location is perfect for the Masai game drives. We still remain in wonder at all of the animals we have seen. Staff were very friendly. The food was very nice for a buffet. The rooms were very comfortable. The views really good. I could not fault the whole place.

We had an amazing stay at the Mara Sopa Lodge last week over a two nights stay. The property is well maintained and views are breathtaking. We enjoyed all our meals and drinks at the restaurant & bar along with the courteous hospitality. We were also delighted to view the documentary which was followed by a colorful performance by the Masai troupe. Enjoyed the show and thankful to the Sopa Lodge for this opportunity. Got some items from the Masai Women stall too and the gift shop. All the staff were very helpful and warm especially with my husband who had restricted mobility (a cast foot) and needed wheelchair assistance. Just a small mention - the path is not wheelchair friendly- it was a big struggle moving up & down to our parked vehicle. Hair dryer is not provided in the room, however, one can procure it with a deposit of $20, which I accidentally happen to see a lady take one from the reception area. We definitely had a good pleasant stay and enjoyed the game drives. What a feast for the eyes. We left contented for our next destination- Serengeti! Asante Sana for these sweet memories 😊

We had a wonderful stay at Mara Sopa Lodge. The accommodation was fantastic - clean, comfortable, and full of character. The staff were all friendly and attentive, and Dominic in the restaurant went out of his way to ensure we were well looked after. The service throughout was excellent, and the setting of the lodge is truly breathtaking. We couldn't fault a single thing and would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Mara.||
