"A secluded, villas-only beachfront retreat on Tamarin Bay in Flic-en-Flac that emphasizes privacy and understated luxury, with every accommodation featuring its own private plunge pool and many offering ocean views. The property—founded in 2004 and family-owned—has 64 villas across six categories (including expanded two-bedroom options) and was refreshed in 2023 with Mauritian-inspired interiors, rattan furniture, and botanical accents; the two-bedroom Presidential Suite Pool Villa adds 24-hour butler service, a private kitchen, an in-home cinema and a 602-square-foot pool. Dining options span five venues: a main all-day fine-dining restaurant ideal for breakfasts with ocean views, a North Indian fusion spot serving thali-style meals to live tabla accompaniment, a Japanese washoku/teppanyaki venue developed with a former ambassador’s consultation, a casual Beach House Grill for seafood under a shaded tree, and a bar/lounge known for rum, framed views of Le Morne Brabant, and an extensive cellar and cigar humidor of nearly 2,000 cigars. The holistic spa is a standout, specializing in Ayurveda with consultations by the in-house Ayurvedic doctor and treatments such as personalized abhyanga oil massages, plus thermal facilities and yoga/meditation spaces. Outstanding destination. Location beautiful with stunning sunsets over the ocean. Resort 5 star in every way and with wonderful staff. impressive attention to detail, which is what makes the difference between good and great. Not one thing to criticise. Highly recommended!

Best 5 star hotel on Mauritius. The biggest standout feature is the space you have as the resort is very spread out. Our butler Kenan was amazing helping book trips and restaurants. It’s a short 40m walk onto the most amazing tree lined beach that is safe to swim.

All around a great experience, highly recommended! The main highlight for us was the staff. Right from the start all of the staff were highly attentive, incredibly friendly, professional and forthcoming while at the same time being very authentic and genuine, but never intrusive. The Villa was beautiful, modern and very clean, located only footsteps from the beach. Various food options where the quality was consistently high. Also have a very nice wine list. Overall highly recommended for people or families looking for a luxurious getaway in a very friendly, family-like atmosphere.

An amazing yoga instructor that led you carefully through every easy and difficult pose. The breathing exercises he lead were also very helpful with each move. The feeling after the course was relaxing, rewarding, and mindful. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

The management and housekeeping, restaurant, spa and gym teams were exceptionally helpful, courteous and performed above and beyond throughout my stay. The grounds directly on the Indian Ocean are vast but the public areas were never crowded. I enjoyed my villa with a private pool. I also learned a great deal about Ayurvedic health. Delighted that I ordered a spa package for total pampering!

One of the best resorts we’ve stayed in our honeymoon, everything was beyond excellent, starting from the welcoming drinks and till the good bye gift , the only thing we didn’t like was the dinner at the buffet but the breakfast was excellent

I have been to Maradiva over 5times. This time was even more special. The service was 5+++, specially the “ WhatsApp / Butler service,”, you could ask Kanen anything and within minutes our requests were actioned with a smile. The food was created by one of the best chefs and sous chefs we have ever known. Thank you Maradiva for the “best in the world “ experience.

Dining at the resort was an incredible experience, with a wide variety of delicious dishes that showcased the best of local and international cuisine. We enjoyed relaxing on the pristine beach and indulging in rejuvenating treatments at the spa. Maradiva is a paradise for anyone seeking a tranquil, luxurious getaway. We can’t wait to return!
