We visited on a Sunday evening, and though it was pretty packed, we were able to find a table for our group of 6-7 people. I ordered the goat cheese, zucchini, and aubergine panini, and it was delicious—definitely something I’ll order again. The bread was incredibly fresh, and the coffee was just as good. Both the macchiato and flat white had the perfect amount of milk. The place has a great aesthetic, with lots of small decorations, and they also sell various types of candy and small jewelry. Despite being busy, the service was quick, and all the waitresses spoke English and were very friendly. They also offer a nice variety of cakes, which looked tempting. Overall, it was a great experience, and this place has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite coffee shops in Munich.

Such a nice discovery! Marais is the perfect spot for a meal all day long. We had a late brunch and loved the pistachio croissant! Great place with homemade pies and cheesecakes. The atmosphere is quite unique as it makes you feel in an antique shop.

We were a couple and a dog. The crew are very kind and friendly. OMG the croissant 🤤 . So the food is delicious and the ambient and concept amazing. We love our breakfast here 🫶🏻. I want to remark the great attention we have received from Philip. Thank you so much 😊

The grey haired waiter (probably the owner) was super charming and friendly. Tried to explain the cake to me which 38 apples were used and double confirmed that my ice coffee is not just with ice cubes but ice cream. A very vintage shop where each table and chair was different.

We showed up at the door spontaneously and they were kind to place us at a table. I found the atmosphere quite authentic as it reminded me of an antique store. It seems also like they sell some stuff there. I have to admit that the service was very slow. It requires some patience to give the order, reorder or pay the bill. The food was good. Since I like pistachio creme, I enjoyed the croissant with pistachio creme the most. I also tried the lavendar cake but I was disappointed with the texture and the taste.

Lovely cafe with equally nice outdoor and indoor seating. Amazing cakes and out of that day's selection I had a hard time choosing just one. Coffee is also available in decaf, cappuccino was nicely made. Friendly and quick service. There's also a menu of meals and savory dishes besides the sweets. Inside they sell some postcards, jewelry and more. Very popular place and really worth a visit. Two coffees, a cake and pastry can add up to more than €18, I still found it worth the experience for the quality of food and the atmosphere. Update May 2024: I've already left 5 stars, but the rhubarb bauser cake was so spectacular I couldn't leave it unmentioned. Highly recommended and such a cozy place to have a cake, coffee and read the paper.

Yelp
Awesome food and great service. The owner is very friendly and order any of the lamb dishes.

Yelp
Having a great coffee in a cute place like this makes every sip taste even better. Seriously. And there's some also some serious potential for vintage shopping going on at the same time. And some pastries that look yummy (don't have an opinion yet).

Yelp
Great place for breakfast and brunch. Nice interior of old furniture and orginal store furnishings. Eggs are good the coffee ok.

Yelp
Marais converts the cafe experience into a thing of beauty. Every view from every angle of this place is aesthetically pleasing. Heck, *I* feel beautiful when I walk out of this place. The chai is homemade and DELICIOUS. The cakes are fine specimens of the baking arts...and are DELICIOUS. Panini - DELICIOUS. Coffee - DELICIOUS. They must have some very high quality espresso machines, because the coffee comes out so rich and creamy. It seems that every item in this place is for sale. So if you like your table, or chair, or the whole set, or the dishware, ask the service what it would cost to take it home. However, do not ask the service how much to take them home. I don't think they operate THAT kind of establishment. The bathroom is a journey back to 1913, but in a cute, nostalgic way. You'll see what I mean. The only drawback about this place is the lack of wifi. But hey - maybe it's better to come here to unwind and unplug anyway. That coffee and cake sure deserve your undivided attention...

Yelp
Visited this little cafe twice. The first time I visited I just shopped. This time though my hubby and I had a tiny breakfast. We ordered two coffees with milk and two croissants with butter and jam. The coffees were hand pulled and delicious. The croissants were warm and flaky. The hardest part though is staying in your seat. There are things to look at in every corner nook and cranny of the cafe. I only purchased small things because I have to get on an airplane and go back home :(

Yelp
Nice concept. It's like having coffee at a flee market (except for the coffee being much better). Great chai, espresso, and cake (rhubarb + baiser). The staff was a little too busy but still friendly. Go check it out...

Yelp
Beautiful setting, beautiful people and all oh-so effortless - so very French you might forget you're in Munich! Came here for brunch with a friend on a Sunday morning. No wait for a table - which was really a small side table for a boudoir. The concept of the store is that everything you eat around or on is for sale. The furniture is all romantic and whimsy and all the settings are fun. I had a small cheese and meats platter with latte and my friend had fruit and yogurt. The fresh bread that came to the table (both traditional french and german grains) was still warm and very very good. People watching here is really nice and so is the unrushed service. By the time we left (around noon) there was a line waiting to get in, but we were not hurried out at all - perfect start to a lazy Sunday!

Yelp
Part cafe for coffee and cakes, part gift shop, and all adorable. Seems like the perfect place to have a girls brunch or catch up. I didn't try the food yet- but I will be back!

Yelp
Best quiche I had ever had-- and I've had a lot of quiches. The service was helpful and kind, and all graciously spoke English to us. We were here 3 out of our 4 days for breakfast during our time in Munich. Fun to sit at the tables outside!

Yelp
The cafe itself is so lovely, really nice atmosphere and friendly staff, the coffee is also good.

Yelp
This place is seriously amazing. The food is great, people are nice and the ambience is incredible. Everything is for sale and they have awesome little pieces of jewelry, stylish umbrellas, glass and more. Get the panini with cheese and ham - Best panini I've ever had. Top it off with a latte macchiato and you've reached heaven.

Yelp
So far the coffee place that has the most charming atmosphere in Munich. It's great to come here in the afternoon to chit chat with your friends. I just had a tee, so I can't judge the taste of their cakes.
