We have just had a truly lovely stay at the Villa Cheta. First and foremost, the staff are the best. Professional and efficient but also warm and welcoming. They treat the guests like family. I cannot single out any one person as they were all so lovely. The front desk folks, Anna in particular, will help with anyth8ng: arranging a massage, giving advice on walks or museums, making reservations for dinner, etc.||The hotel is beautiful, with many spaces where one can sit and relax, a fabulous pool, and lovely grounds. The beach is a bit of a walk down quite a few steps, but you are rewarded with an almost hidden cove, and crystal clear water. We were there just as the beach season ended, so we had it to ourselves, even the lido owners were packing up. Our room was fairly spacious with a small but well appointed bath. The mattress was firm and comfortable. Finally, meals were excellent, so much so that we ate dinner at the hotel several nights rather than drive to a restaurant.||It should be noted that although one can walk into Acquafredda from the hotel (about 15 mins max), the village doesn’t have much to offer. A car is really needed to visit Maratea, and take advantage of all the coast has to offer.
