Villa Cheta is truly a magical place. Set in a peaceful area far from tourist crowds, it offers breathtaking views and an unbeatable location between the mountains and the sea. The service is impeccable, with a wonderfully kind and attentive staff always ready to help. Stefania, Piero, Angela, and the entire team make you feel completely at home from the moment you arrive. The rooms, the pool, and the scenery are simply stunning — an oasis of tranquility just a short drive from Maratea village and beautiful beaches. The restaurant is a highlight in itself, from breakfast to dinner, featuring a changing seasonal menu crafted with the finest local ingredients. I cannot recommend a stay at this charming boutique hotel enough!

We spent 2 nights at this beautiful hotel. The room was reasonably spacious with great sea views. Excellent and attentive service. Everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel. |The pool is fantastic. |The restaurant, on its own, is worth the visit. Breakfasts and dinners were spectacular with noteworthy service. |The drive to get there is challenging, rivalling the Amalfi coast but with less traffic.

A wonderful area on the West Coast of Southern Italy. |I think you must have a car to experience the area. Maratea is a special town south of the hotel and is the major reason to visit the area.|The inn itself is a great piece of history. Our April visit was a bit cold, but May, June, July, time frame might be a better time to enjoy the grounds, but we still had a wonderful visit.|The restaurant had a proper wine list, but the dinner could have been better, and there were many places nearby that were better.|The room we had was nice and had many vintage pieces.|The service from check in, to check out was as good as it gets. Anamaria deserves a special shout out for her care and warmth. Nicole was great with moving our heavy luggage.|We recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

Wonderful experience. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. The room was spotless and offered a sea view. The swimming pool was excellent. Nearby attractions include a small grocery store (da Ginetto) for marenna to go and a lovely beach (about a 10-minute walk, easily accessible). The dinners were reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant. If you’re open to driving to Maratea, you can find even more affordable options with a wider variety of food. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would definitely consider returning.

Beautiful hotel villa in a beautiful location. Stayed here for 4 days to celebrate a wedding. Everything about the hotel was perfect from start to finish. The rooms are clean and spacious with amazing views of the sea. Food was excellent as was the service. Hotel staff were fantastic and always happy to help. Lovely pool and well kept gardens. Could find no fault. We will return. Thank you everyone for an amazing stay and even more amazing experience.

The villa Cheta elite is an excellent hotel with lovely staff especially Anna . The restaurant is really good with a new menu every evening. The pool area is very well appointed the one negative was that the beds were a bit hard. |The hotel isn’t in a very good location because you need to use your car to go anywhere.

Villa Cheta is a beautiful oasis in Maratea, elegantly decorated in Italian style with lots of history and charm, and with wonderful views across the bay. The room was very comfortable and again stylish. The new pool is fantastic for a dip but you can also walk down the steps to the little beach for a swim in the sea. The friendliness of the staff was exceptional, always smiling and keen to make our stay memorable. We had dinner at the restaurant two nights and we think one of our meals was a little bland, however we seem to be the exception judging from other reviews.

I was deliberating between staying in Maratea Borgo, in the mountains, or in Acquafredda, near the sea. I’m glad I chose Villa Cheta in Acquafredda because it was pure luxury! Our room faced the sea, overlooking the front terrace of the hotel which also was where we dined most times (except in case of rain, when we ate in the very pretty dining room). The room and bath were very finely outfitted with everything you need, including welcome A/C and black out shutters. Tastefully done and well maintained. The staff are all incredible, starting with Maria, Anna and Alessandra at the desk, all the way through the in-charge Angela, Davide, Lilia, and PierAngelo in the restaurant. I’m sure there were many others discretely involved in making our stay so relaxing, and I thank them all! The food was all divine and the breakfasts plentiful, as well as generous snacks to accompany your afternoon aperitivi! I loved the saltwater pool for our afternoon dips, especially after descending and then climbing the 183 steps down to the little beach right across the street! I happened to have a birthday while I was there and everyone was so sweet to me, with Maria and Angela especially going out of their way to make me feel spoiled. I can’t wait to return!
