Really worth it :) The place offers very warm and homey ambience with traditional decoration on the wall. The foods are tasty and offer a wide variety of choices. The place used to be visited by a lot of popular people including politicians. Worth a try!

Visited for the first time. The ambience is simple and earthy. Service is relatively quick. Ordered the following: Mutton Thali 4/5 Quite good with each dish offered having authentic Maharashtrian regional based meat preparations. Pricing for the quantity served is on the higher side. Chicken Pulao 3.5/5 Decent but the quantity served is quite less. Egg biryani 4/5 No complaints, egg lovers will definitely enjoy. Mosak ice cream 4/5 Very nice modak infusion. Definitely worth ordering Kesar Pista Kulfi 4/5 Good Overall, it's a nice place for lunch or dinner. I will definitely visit again.

If you’re craving authentic non-spicy Maharashtrian thalis, Maratha Samrat is a must-visit. Their chicken and mutton thalis are rich in flavor yet mild in spice, perfect for those who enjoy balanced, traditional taste. The real highlight, though, is their seafood – don’t miss the Prawns Rava Fry, it’s a straight 10/10! A great spot for hearty, homely meals.

Loved the fish thali here as well as the mutton kharda fry. The modak ice cream that we had was also delicious. Worth a visit.

Had the Mutton Thali. It was really good. The Kaala Masala Mutton Dry can be a little more desi. Service was good. Worth it for the Mutton Lovers in the city.

We had Chicken thali and were left disappointed. The Chicken pieces were mostly bones and the tambda rassa wasn't tambda or even tasty. The pandhra rassa was okay. The Bhakri was good. The Indrayani rice was also good as was the dahi kanda. We had also ordered Pithla, which was tasty and well made, but lesser in quantity than the norm. We had taken a parcel of Batatachya kachrya but they were badly made, the spices were burnt. There are plenty of substantially better options for Maharashtrian Non Vegetarian and Vegetarian food in Pune.

We tried the Mutton Thali here, and it was absolutely worth the ₹600. The thali included mutton curry, mutton fry, and mutton keema—all cooked well with generous portions. The mutton keema in particular was delicious! The thali comes with one bhakri, which felt a bit less. I’d suggest they offer at least two bhakris and include a sweet to make the meal more complete. We also tried the chicken pulao—taste was average, but the chicken pieces seemed frozen, so I wouldn’t recommend it. Stick to the thali, it’s the star of the show. Location is good, ample parking space, and while the ambience is okay, the food makes up for it. Highly recommend this Mutton Thali over other popular places in Pune like Deewan Khana or Chul Mutton, which didn’t live up to the hype.
