Yelp
A good family friendly spot for ice cream, food, and drinks with a relaxed casual atmosphere. It's a local hangout for the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake kids.
Okay so I was cruising up Route 50 on a nice sunny weekday afternoon and decided to stop here around 2:30PM for a late lunch since I had an Entertainment coupon to use up.
The menu offers breakfast sandwiches, pizza, calzones, strombolis, pasta dishes, burgers, hot dogs, wraps, sandwiches, subs, salads, soups, fried appetizers, dinners, RC Cola products, desserts, and ice cream. Daily specials are offered too including 2 Cheese Pizza Slices & a can of soda ($2.99), Half Cold Sub & Cup of Soup ($4.49) and more.
This place is unique because they have outdoor patio deck seating where you can hang out on a nice day and enjoy your food with a cold beer, a small indoor dining room and a takeout area with an Italian deli counter (deli meats, groceries & cooler drinks) and an ice cream counter serving many flavors of Perry's Ice Cream. There are a lot of pictures of local youth sports up on the walls, very good! In the takeout area, there's a large poster of the Burnt Hills/Scotia Glenville Hockey team. Several other high schools in Section II also have joint hockey programs.
For takeaway, I ordered a Chicken Caesar Wrap ($7.99) served with fries & pickle and the Angel Hair with House Sauce ($7.49 -free with Entertainment coupon) which comes with salad, bread & butter. While I was waiting, a large loud "after school" crowd from BH-BLHS came in and lined up for ice cream, the perfect time on a hot day. I wish I had a place like this to go near my former HS.
Anywho, the food was ready in about 10 minutes. The Chicken Caesar Wrap was pretty good and the fries were nice and crispy. The Angel Hair was good, but could've used some more sauce. The side salad was decent, the standard lettuce mix, tomato, & dressing. I'd stop here again next time for ice cream and chill out on the patio.
