Such a nice and cozy venue; server was terrific and so kind; his suggests were perfect; glad I scored a table earlier in the day bc the place was booked solid by the time we got there, packed; dishes were flavorful and well sized, room for dessert which was excellent; likely the best Italian we’ve ever had, the food we very fresh and homemade; highly recommend coming here, get the outdoor seating too

The restaurant is very cozy with a elegant ambience. I tried the pesto pasta, it was different from the garlic-forward versions I’ve had elsewhere. This one had a stronger basil flavor, lighter but still delicious, and I’m happy with my choice.

A last minute decision to eat Italian and we were not disappointed. We had booked a table on the terrace but unfortunately there was someone smoking at the next table. We were given a table inside without a problem which actually gave us much more space. We shared a delicious green bean salad and then had two excellent pasta dishes. Plus a very reasonably priced wine of the month. The service was very friendly and professional. Warning: The restaurant is rather hard to find...allow extra time for navigation!

A place that reminds me of home. A vongole linguine and a Pinot Grigio are all you need to get addicted. Recommended for every season ✨

This hidden treasure was lovely. From the road, you come down a set of stairs into a private terrace and the restaurant itself has folding open window- doors for a fully outdoor feel. I was grateful for a varied menu which included fruits & veg., I ordered the summer melon burrata which was lovely, and had the pavlova & limoncello for a perfect finish. The service was gracious (the hostess allowed me to charge my phone!) and timely. The portions “just- right” sized, and fairly priced. It could only be better with more atmospheric music and some art decor for ambiance. It was on the quieter side which made for easy conservation. I was only in Paris 2.5 days as a midlife getaway for a solo female traveler and was craving lighter fare from all the bread & cheese ( was also wishing for figs). Chat GPT made this recommendation and I can highly recommend and I would return here! The pavlova was small so I gave 4 stars and the atmosphere could use a romantic touch, but the local French were dining there- a sure sign of good food! Overall, lovely 💐

I’ve been to Marcello several times and dining on the terrace when the weather allows is always a highlight. The menu changes with the seasons and chef’s suggestions, but everything I’ve tried has been great. Starters I’ve enjoyed: • Burrata: 9/10 super fresh • Beef carpaccio: 8/10 classic and always good • Melanzane with mozzarella: 8/10 a cozy comfort dish Favorites from the mains: • Tagliatelle carciofi e limone: 9/10 unique and so satisfying • Evergreen with stracciatella: 8/10 a must for pesto lovers I still miss their vegetarian lasagne hope it comes back! Desserts are a hit too: tiramisu, affogato, and their rotating specials are all worth trying. Marcello is one of my go-to restaurants in the heart of the 6th. It never disappoints whether it’s for a date or a group gathering! You can also visit for afternoon coffee and desserts during the weekend before the evening shifts. Don’t forget to book your table as it can get crowded :)

Overall, a good dining experience but the service, while well intentioned, was wildly uneven throughout the night, resulting in a similarly imbalanced coursing pace. The food itself was generally good, but consistently flawed, and underwhelming as a result, especially given the pricing. We started with the following: Buffalo burrata (olive oil, basil) - the quality of the burrata itself was excellent but it could have been helped with more olive oil and a touch of salt. Smoked swordfish carpaccio (ricotta, fennel, dill, organic lemon) - again, the quality of the swordfish was very good, but it needed more lemon. The additional lemon I then requested remedied this. Spaghetti Pomodoro (Datterino tomato sauce, basil) - my daughter enjoyed this dish very much, especially the flavor of the tomato sauce itself. The pasta quality, from my single tasting, seemed extremely high. Evergreen Spaghetti (intense basil and Parmesan pesto, toasted pine nuts) - my wife enjoyed the strong pesto flavor, but again this dish needed the aid of some salt. Roasted chicken supreme (mozzarella, basil, grilled asparagus, Roman gnocchi) - this dish was perfect. The chicken was tender and succulent, roasted perfectly. The gnocchi was bland and forgettable. My single cocktail, the New York Sour, was amateurishly made. Tasted terrible Overall, a good but not great meal and the price of $200 USD for two adults and a child didn't fit the food or service quality. Wouldn't return on this basis, as it was one of the lower points of our dining experiences thus far. Decor was lovely, and the patio seating outside was delightful.
