This is the local area's farmers' market, and well worth the visit if you can use fresh produce directly. During the "summer" (April 1st - September 30th) the market takes place every evening (except Sundays and holidays) from 6-8 p.m., during the "winter" on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 4.30 onwards.
Most of the farmers here are selling produce harvested that day, often excellent things that might not be exactly the right shape or colour for the supermarkets, but great value fruit or vegetables for the consumer. You will clearly notice what is at the peak of it's season; often top-quality products are being sold by the box for a fraction of the supermarket price, or large quantities of 2nd quality to be used for jams and such.
