Marché alimentaire Saint-Antoine Célestins

Cannot imagine a better way to start my morning in Lyon than strolling through this local market by the river. Even if I do not buy anything, the colors, the people, voices - the whole atmosphere absolutely worth it.

It's nice place to roam around. Another thing that I found the quality of water of river is overrated. It's ok ok. Market is good. Also walking riverside is always good so nice to go if you can.

A flea market in a beautiful location where you can soak up the French weekend atmosphere! I always come here on weekends to buy flowers and local food. You should come here at least once if you visit Lyon 🤗

Huge market, you can find almost anything here. Local friends say it’s more expensive than the Croix Rousse market. But I guess it’s because it’s central. A tip from a local friend: to buy directly from the farmers, not resellers, look for those who have “rough” hands that clearly do manual labour, and whose fruit and veg don’t look perfectly clean.

This market is the best. I like it better than croix rousse because of the food vendors. Great international street food. There is also a beautiful morning light that comes through along the river. On Sundays you can cross a bridge and find a nice artist market.

Great market and surprised that is open almost daily. Prices appear reasonable (coming from California /San Francisco also skews my perception). I got a watermelon radish - a whole one for $0.60. This is normally $4.99 or more per pound in the states so I'd pay probably over $2. A lot of vendors and great variety. It's fun to check it out and buy some local stuff to eat in while you are in town.

This was a nice street market next to the river. Decenly sized with a mix of produce including some cooked items like chicken/sausage
