Neat little charcuterie and sandwich shop in the heart of Glen Ellyn. Delicious, fresh ingredients. I tried the Prosciutto and the Serrano sandwiches. When I tell you these sandwiches were the best I’ve had in years, I’m not just being nice. Lovely staff. Go pay them a visit. They have some cool drink options as well. I would definitely recommend the Serrano, although everything they have is good.

Wow! If I could give this 10 stars I would! What an adorable shop in a fantastic location right downtown. The selection of beautiful cheeses and wines from all over the world are unmatched. Linda was so helpful in explaining all of the different options that are available. I can’t wait to come back to try their sandwiches! For how exceptional the products they sell are, the customer service is the best part. Knowledgeable and passionate employees that have a gift when it comes to all things wine and cheese.

My wife and I have attended several of Marché's exceptional cheese pairing classes. The latest one TRICK OR TREAT: CHEESE PAIRING was a revelation with some of its candy/cheese combinations. Molly is a next-level cheese monger, providing insights on flavor profiles and fun historical glimpses into the cheesemaking process. Cannot say enough amazing things about the attentive care this organization puts into their events. Truly top-notch and a MUST do if you are in the area! Thank you, Marché team!

All items visible at Marche looked delicious, and I regretted not being able to have a meal there. I chose some olives and a cheese plate as takeout items, and they were fantastic. I was given a sample of blueberry and soft cheese, which was also excellent.

The BEST spot for sandwiches in the area! Been coming here for years for the triple cream Brie, sandwiches and we LOVE the chocolate cheese bars!

The cheese and wine selections are diverse and the staff are so friendly and helpful, especially Katie!! She gave us samples of her recommendations and really went above and beyond to help us find what we were looking for. Any time we’re in the area this is a must-go place for us now. Thank you Katie!!

How Beautiful is this dish?? Everything is fresh. Prosciutto Butter Oh My! Wagyu beef try it! The cheese’s incredible selection- I let them pick! Beautiful sliced Prosciutto. Fresh French Bread!! I love the Team they are kind, knowledgeable and what you to be happy.

There is something so quaint and cozy about this wonderful wine and cheese shop! We were introduced to Marche by some friends, and now we make monthly trips to stock up on all of our dips, meats, & cheeses! I love how adventurous you can be. The kind staff is always giving out samples and asking how they can help if you're unsure what you like. They introduced us to some fabulous French wine last time, which we usually never drink! The sandwiches are also fantastic - the Serrano is the BEST!!!

As you walk in, you can't help but feel as if you were transported straight to the heart of Paris. From the decorations to the cheese, every last detail makes it feel authentic. Everyone is always super kind and helpful! Which, really adds to the cozy French feel. They have seating indoors and outdoors. And, everything is sparkling clean! I've tried so many of there different cheeses, cured meats, breads, and sandwiches over the years. That, I can honestly say that it's all incredibly delicious! I've even stopped in for a glass of wine. Which, was incredible as well! Everything is perfect here! Also, if you're looking for anything to add to your charcuterie board. They'll have it here! From crackers, to chocolate covered almonds, to any cheese or cured meats thatthat you can think of. They have it all! So, stop by and enjoy yourself. You won't regret it.

My husband, two adult daughters and myself attended the Building a Cheese Board class. It was an AWESOME class. The class was taught by Linda and Dan. They were both so knowledgeable about how to build a perfect board, quantities you need, and what cheeses and extras went on the board. They taught us how to fold the meats and cut the cheese properly. When they finished their board, we got to try what we learned and create our own board. Not only was it delicious, but so fun. Wine was included too. Here's a photo of our finished product. We will for sure try again to build our own board, but for convenience, we will most likely order one of their beautiful boards! Delicious bites & interesting wines accompanied by not-snooty education on both. I bought this experience as a birthday gift for a family member and it was as special as I had hoped.

Marche is a small gourmet market and cafe. They have giant jars of olives and some unusual sandwiches. My favorite is the tuna with lemon anchovy dressing and chopped olives and capers.

I don't drink wine, but their sandwiches are exceptional. I don't know anyone that doesn't love their pimento dip.

Really loved this little shop in Glen Ellyn. I was craving some nice cheese but it's pretty unbelievable that in all of Chicago there is maybe one fromagerie? There may be some shops that have a cheese case, but Pastoral has closed, Provenance was gone years ago, and even Marion Street Cheese Company in Oak Park closed several years back. When I visited Marche a couple months ago they had limited the number of people in the store at any time. They had a plexiglass divider up by the register as well, which I appreciated. They offer cheese plates, and had cheese plates to go at that time; I got one and it was quite delicious. They offer classes, one of which I'd love to attend when I'm feeling much more confident about being around others outside my household for any significant length of time. And they have what they call Culture Club, which is like a cheese of the month (or whatever timeframe) club, and I may join it sometime... but that depends upon whether I want to pay for shipping, because I don't think I want to put ~60 miles on my car each month just to pick it up. But what I had was delicious, so it would be a fun way to learn about different delicious cheeses. I'm completing this review in November 2021, a few months from my first visit to the shop this past April. I've been a couple more times and picked up more cheeses and accompaniments than I did the first time. I was introduced to Mimolette, a fantastic hard cheese (of which I bought a pound and had them wrap in four packages so I had some to eat throughout the month). Delice de Bourgogne is a fantastic triple cream cheese--I didn't even think I liked that type of cheese. They post a new "cheese of the week" on their Instagram (and probably Facebook, if they have that) page, which is 20% off for that week! Their chef makes a to-die-for sour cherry compote that is so good all by itself, but amazing with the right cheese. Similarly, the chef makes a fig jam that was another surprise; I didn't realize that could be good! Wine, cheese, and cheese accessories. You will find your happy place here. I ordered a charcuterie board for 20-30 people. It was absolutely STUNNING. I got so many compliments and questions about where it came from! It was hands the BEST charcuterie board I have ever had. The cherry confit( might be called sour cherry confit?) was absolutely delicious. Placing the order online was easy and it was ready within 48 hours AND one of the staff members carried it out to my car. Will absolutely use them for future gatherings and when I'm craving anything yummy! Oh and it came with 3 huge baguette breads highly highly Recommend!!

Marche offers a delightful fare for dine-"in" or carry out as well as a vast assortment of accoutrements for your next gathering. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff is friendly, and the food is tasty. I was surprised to find that I have not yet reviewed Marche as I have visited them on a few occasions for carry out lunch, dinner, and a charcuterie board. Their hot sandwiches are delicious and I have not met a bad one yet. In fact, their current month-of-April sandwich, The Grilled Cubano, is fantastic - I've had it twice already! Additionally, the ordering process for a charcuterie board is simple and the staff can help provide great guidance. We've done it once but are itching to have more! The friendly staff rounds out the picture and makes this a simply wonderful local business. It is places like this that make Glen Ellyn a truly wonderful town. Given we live just a short walk away I can see us coming back again and again in the future and I encourage you to delay no more if you have not yet been.

The artichoke sandwich is my absolute new favorite sandwich! It's amazing with the perfect baguette, creamy lemon goat cheese, tomato sun dried pesto and basil. Perfect food for a picnic. Cheese selection is amazing.

We love Marche. We love what Jill has accomplished in this business, at nearby Marcel's, and in the town overall. If you aren't a local this place is worth your trip!

Marché an oasis of fine cheeses and charcuterie. I value the people who run this outpost because they stock unusual and hard to find cheeses. Excellent line up of exotic goat cheese, French Roquefort from the finest makers and domestic short run beauties as well. Some of the best salumi I've found is in here. Have not tried the sandwiches but the line up on the menu is super appealing. An asset to Chicagoland!

I'm partial to this little cheese/sandwich/charcuterie shop, which also offers classes. They also appear at the local Glen Ellyn farmer's market. In addition to various cheese cuts, you can get a little cider, a crusty baguette, sandwiches, various meat products I know nothing bout, made-to-order sandwiches, raclette, or even a whole quiche (at $30, a bit pricey but I'm sure it's nice). I've taken two classes here, did one on-line, and have picked up various hot and cold sandwiches and cheese boxes (highly recommended). If you're vegetarian, do let them know if you're taking a class even if it seems irrelevant: they do sometimes pop in extra charcuterie at unexpected times (extra noshes are nice). The online descriptions for boxes do call out any meat products in the boxes; you may need to insist a bit if customizing a box or a class to get a vegetarian substitute (some almonds? a little more fruit?) instead of just the base item sans meat. Daytime parking's kind of awful; after 6 so you can use the train station lot a block away.

I just did another class at Marche last night & can't say enough good things. Interesting wines, great pairings, new foods and knowledgable staff make it always a great night. And quite a diversity of classes! I look forward to the next one!

Picked up a lovely picnic to enjoy at the Arboretum a couple days ago - we had the Serrano Ham and the Artichoke Lemon Ricotta Sandwiches. Excellent! We will definitely do it again.

Love this place and its many tasty cheese offerings--like a recent reviewer, I'm astounded that there are so few fromageries remaining in Chicagoland. I've reviewed Marche before for its tasty cheese boxes and crusty baguettes and wanted to update that review with a comment on the expansion of their wine selection. They carry many more wines than they used to, which is nice when you're running out the door with the cheese and bread--it's one stop delicious shopping. Please keep stocking the Sancerre!

Had a cheese making class here last night. A group of four of us signed up a few weeks back and really enjoyed our time. It was a hands on course and made mozzarella and burrata. I will have to say the instructors were absolutely fabulous and very friendly. They were very engaging and made the whole class very enjoyable. We were a little surprised that we were making the cheese from already made curds, which kind of felt deceiving. Basically you're taking the cheese curds in warm water to soften, add a little salt, and form them into balls of mozzarella. Now I wouldn't really categorize this as learning how to make cheese, but we did enjoy ourselves. A definite plus to the class was the endless amount of wine getting poured. Not to mention when the learning was done a nice charcuterie plate was brought out with a couple of the cheeses we just made. Would I take the class again? Sure, but for the wine and engaging conversation with your group of friends and the instructor. Before we went into the basement for the class, our group ordered a charcuterie board and glasses of wine. They have boards on their menu, with accompaniments to add to them. The standout add on was the cherry preserves which seemed to pair well with all of the cheese. Picture of the board included. I'd definitely stop back in for a charcuterie board as an appetizer before a meal somewhere else in town. Or if you aren't that hungry, makes for a great snack.

If you want to pamper yourself and be introduced to some of the best wines, cheeses, and other gourmet foods, Marché in downtown Glen Ellyn should be top of your list. I recently enjoyed a delightful menu of brunch dishes based on award winning cheeses along with sparkling rosé and brut wines. The host and chef were warm and welcoming and happy to answer any questions from the small group present. There were accommodations for a group of four as well as couples who came together. I went alone and was quite comfortable with my table partner. It felt more like a small party than a "class". If a class isn't your thing, you won't be disappointed in the sandwich and cheese offerings to try there or take home. As an added bonus, a 10% discount was offered to those attending.

Attended the Cheese Monger's Kitchen Cheesy Fall Bites class last night led by Lauren and it was amazing. The class was informative but also extremely positive and upbeat. Lauren put together beautiful appetizers that touched every taste bud. I can't wait to do another class soon. Such a great time.

Molly, the cheesemonger, was outstanding! Her knowledge of cheese was thorough and heartfelt! Her presentation touched on the nuances of the cheeses and the producers behind them. Highly recommend!

High quality cheese, gourmet sandwiches in a charming shop in downtown Glen Ellyn! Staff is knowledgeable and gives helpful recommendations. Custom cheese boards (order 24-48 hrs in advance) are awesome for get togethers at home.

Love the concept here. This was my first visit but I definitely plan on venturing back soon. I don't know much about fancy cheeses and what not but there is no such thing as too much cheese. We ordered one of the boards you can easily pick from the pre-selected list. I was impressed. The wine I chose accompanied the selections quite well. The ambiance is that of a corner style cafe which I enjoyed. There is not a lot of seating but I believe this particular aspect gives it uniqueness.

Best selection of cheeses. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Wines available are very good. Sandwiches are delicious - Not a lengthy selection but what they serve is first rate. Highly recommend sitting outside enjoying a glass of wine and a charcuterie board.

Ordered a charcuterie board online (with cutting board). It's a little steep, but completely worth it. Amazing presentation! As I was leaving the shop picking it up, I was approached by a group of people asking if they could go with me to where I was headed.

Stopped into Marche on a Thursday night before going to dinner. They had a free wine tasting, where we could taste three sparkling wines each paired with a different cheese! Perfect amount for a tasting and the man was very friendly in telling us about each one. Portell wine with goat cheese, Bollicine Rose with salami-wrapped raw milk cheese, finished with a sweet wine and amazing Brie on toast with jam! I would definitely go back - good variety and adorable shop!

It was delicious! the cheese the meat and all the snacks we taste was special and fresh. I bought home goat cheese and prosciutto. You can feel that its all high quality food. Import from Europe. I give 4 stars because they don't have enough tables and places to seat.. we was standing while we were eating and it still was an amazing experience.

Boutique cheese monger with specialty meats and cheeses (charcuterie and Fromage) from around the world and close to home. This delicious nugget is worth its weight as the service and selection is prime. French bread is fantastic! Ask for a great bottle of wine with your cheese order. Highly recommend. Mouth watering just typing this review! Gets busy because THAT good!

Wow! I can't Recommend this place enough. Steven came to do a wine tasting at our house for my Mom's 70th birthday. My family was so impressed with the event and the wines and cheese/meat board that he brought. They were easy to work with and made it stress free. Thanks Marche!

We love this place. The selection of cheeses is not overwhelming, and we always find something a little special and tasty. We enjoy getting something for our home cheese boards, and also enjoy a cheese board and cava inside. There is not much seating in the winter; I wish there was more so we could be more certain of a space when we want to go. I also would like a bit more variety or flexibility with the cheese boards.

I agree 100% with the review from Kelly M. I am going to assume the person who waited on me Wednesday was Daniel. He was not overly friendly nor helpful without a lot of prompting on my part. I was looking for recommendations and he was put off that I did not want to follow the 3 offers as those are "put together to have complimentary cheeses". When I asked to have a taste of a cheese I was considering he appeared annoyed. He was not friendly and just made me feel bad I was asking questions. I wanted to say to him (but did not) this is why I come here for the personal service and expertise. Otherwise I would just go to Trader Joe's and pick something randomly. However upon further thought I've gotten better service there in the cheese department than I did Wednesday. In the end I got what I needed but as I said earlier not without me pushing for it with comments like, "I need your help here", "looking for your expertise", etc. I shouldn't have to persuade him to help. With all that said, I have had other experiences with other employees that have attended me in what I expect from a specialized shop. Cheeses are great and store is lovely. Will be back but perhaps look to avoid Daniel. Interesting that there are no responses to any of the reviews. You would think ownership would be monitoring and addressing customer service issues.

Great little spot the gals and I decided to check out before our movie showing. The place is a tight squeeze but it was very intimate in that sense, didn't bother me much. The cheese board were delightful and everything added on was so delicious. Great wine recommendations to!!

Marche is one of my favorite spots to grab a glass of wine and a cheese board! Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to give recommendations! Selections are frequently changing with exciting new options. They also offer complimentary sampling of various food & drink products on Thursdays at 5:30. If you're in downtown Glen Ellyn you absolutely MUST stop in!

The staff is stuffy and judgmental juxtaposed with the arrogant leadership of Marcels. The concept was admirable but the delivery is low-brow and off-putting. I wouldn't drive a mile for the experience of either.

I've been to Marche` many times since it opened. It is the "go-to" spot for buying specialty cheeses, pate`s, & practically every type of charcuterie that one could desire. My favorite is a pate` named "pig&fig" that is a combination of figs and pork, and is a fixture for holiday dinners. Just a wonderful place to go.

Great cheese and wine, perfect for an afternoon nosh with a girlfriend. Wooden only silverware is a bummer for cheese spreading. Everything else was tres manufique!

Love this place! Yes, this is the perfect place to get great cheese, wine, crackers, etc. to take home, but don't miss the cheese boards and sandwiches available to eat in the store or the phenomenal cheese boards they offer for catering. The staff is always friendly and extremely knowledgeable - Daniel, the manager, and Steven especially.

Cute idea, maybe a needed service, but I agree with many others that there's a snootiness that I don't understand. If you know about cheese, are you someone so special that it's appropriate to look down on the rest of us? It's cheese! Three things that keep me away: the off putting attitude of the workers, the ridiculous $10 corkage fee - at a deli, no less, and the fact that no one addresses these issues by responding to the reviews! If a business gets a few bad reviews, but addresses them so that I can see they are acknowledging the constructive criticism, I have so much respect. No one from Marche apparently cares enough and that speaks volumes to their customer service.
