Marché montreuil

People from the rural south east of America will feel at home and be familiar with the wares. Rusty tools, dish soap, shoes in bulk, hats in bulk, cheap jewelry and cheaper bulk clothing. A couple true antique vendors, and at least 1 food purveyor that has extensive lines

Came here looking for antiques and found some but didn't have a lot antique sellers. Most of the stands are old clothes, tools, and off brand cheap items. It is quite large and I possibly didn't see the side I needed to.

This market is generally for clothing and for second clothes. You can find some of the more stereotypical flea market items, but it isn't worth it just for the small number of stands. This market is if you're looking for cheaper clothes and shoes that are counterfeit. Though the prices and the people seem genuinely fine.

The market was fine. The location itself made me feel very unsafe getting there on foot and even in the market itself. I may have just been unlucky, but I would recommend sticking in a group to visit.

A lot of rubbish and uninteresting stuff.

You can find everything there. From clothes to mechanical parts. It' a very simple place, zero glamour but lots of possible good deals.

Some amazing finds here. Great place.

French street market Gets crowded Bargains to be had if you look hard enough

If you're looking for a swap meet / flea market vibe and aren't seeking the high-end items one finds at Saint-Oeun, this is your spot. Items vary by week, of course, but I found all the sellers with whom I had contact to be friendly and fair.

Maybe I went on an off day but this market was AWFUL. As you enter, there's a mix of horrible cheap flea market clothes and used clothes..but you have to do a lot of digging in the used clothes and I didn't find anything that needed to come home with me. As you walk further in, there are vendors with used merchandise but anything even slightly antique is jacked up in price as soon as you show any interest in it. At one booth, I had collected a small pile of stuff and the vendor wanted 40 euros which was outrageous. I asked him if he would take 25 & he said "D'accord"..so I pulled out the 25 and he just looked at me like I was handing him a turd and stated the price was 40. Guess I should have just put all the stuff down and walked away but I had spent time picking the crap out and didn't feel like putting it back. So I paid 40 euros for a vintage 60s pink leopard top, small section of black maribou feather boa, broken watch, a few rhinestone pins and a 60s vintage hat that wasn't that great. Live and learn. All in all this market was really grubby and grimy and if you are at all a fan of the beautiful and magical parts of Paris, you will NOT like this place. At all.

The Montreuil flea markets are definitely a different experience than I was used to in Paris. There are some bargains to be had there, however you need to be prepared to root around to find them. I would say that these markets are for the hardened shopper who enjoys markets haggling and bargaining. At these markets there are clothes books and lots of other stalls. The atmosphere at Montreuil was quite nice however I preferred the markets at Saint Ouen as I thought they were calmer, more organised and better for a Sunday morning.

the market is really crowded, though it is not that special. the market offers a variety of items like food, clothes, souvenirs and electronic equipment, but the stuff is more antique (old and in a bad shape) than useful.
