Great local Polish food like that you would have cooked at home by your parents. FOOD: Decent meal sizes, reasonable prices and some gluten free/coeliac safe options, like soups and salads. They also have a few vegetarian dishes. STAFF: They were coeliac aware when we went and were very friendly and helpful. Meals arrived hot and fresh and the staff were very attentive. LOCATION: Some street parking available and it's minutes from the trains and a couple of minutes walk from the city centre. ACCESSIBILITY: Wheelchair, pram and walker friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for those with kids or pets. OVERALL: Highly recommend.

It’s a very very classic restaurant, not pricey at all, the food was amazing! 6 of us tasted almost all the menu from soup of the day to duck, beef, pork tenderloin and chicken liver, all of the dishes can only be praised, the service was also very friendly and they have Hungarian and Georgian wines on the menu ;)

Near the center, very pleasant environment and nice service. The food was tasty and there was plenty of it. We like local specialties

We stopped in for a lunch after visiting the Schindler museum and ordered some pirogies and latkes with cream, mushroom, and meat sauce. Everything was very tasty. I also go a rare, good IPA. The outdoor seating is a bit cramped and right against a somewhat busy street. They had plenty of parasols, but we still found ourselves having to slowly move our chairs so our legs and arms weren't getting baked by the sun on one side.

We had a wonderful meal here at a reasonable price. Potato pancakes were incredible, as was everything else we tried. Very authentic and delicious, friendly service and outdoor seating.

Super homely restaurant serving traditional Polish dishes at f extremely reasonable prices. We had a serving of mushroom soup and a pork breaded cutlet, plus two servings of pierogi for the trip back home to Sweden. All delicious, with quick service (but not too quick to raise doubts). Staff is super friendly. Thanks!

I loved it, good food, authentic, family atmosphere. It's a good place to start learning about Polish cuisine.

This is like dining at home in the best possible way. The beetroot soup with mushroom dumplings was incredible, as was the zurek. Both are perfect for cold days! We had both the duck and apple pierogi and the meat pierogi. Both were incredible. I can’t choose a favorite. They were SO filling. They are homemade and you can taste the care they put into them. I’d go back and eat them any time, and I could make a meal of them. We also tried the placki ziemniaczane (potato pancakes). They have a crisp exterior that you can add goulash or mushroom sauce you can add, along with sour cream. The last thing we tried were the gołabkis. This is a cabbage leaf stuffed with rice and meat and smothered in sauce. We had a spicy tomato and a goulash golabkis. This was a beyond fantastic meal. The service was very kind, the restaurant was very cozy, and I’d go back in a moment.

Yelp
Perfect place to visit if you want to try traditional Polish cuisine that really tastes like at home ! I've been there two times - first time I ordered a fish with potatoes and mix of salads, second time I ordered potato pancakes with pork stew and racuchy (polish dessert). Both times I was surprised by the great taste of the meals that really reminds me of my childhood and perfect cooking skills of my mom and grandma. What I also like is that you can find here "kopytka", "knedle", "rachuchy" and many other dishes that are very typical for Polish cuisine, but surprisingly it's difficult to find them in most of restaurants nowadays. The place is in a nice, quiet area of Kazimierz district. The interior is nothing unique (simple wooden chairs and tables) and the waiters tend to not visit your table too often, but for the food it's definitely worth to go there ;)

Yelp
This place is great! Super cozy inside, and always seems to be buzzing but not overcrowded. The service is friendly and fast, and English-tolerant as well. Everything I tried on the menu was delicious (about 5 or 6 dishes). Being Russian, not Polish, I can't judge as to its authenticity, but the food was definitely pleasing to my Eastern European palate. It's definitely no-frills though. Cutlery comes in a basket for the whole table. The waitress doesn't ask how you are doing when you sit down. Everything arrives exactly as described, as quickly as possible, with minimal fuss and creative garnishes. I guess some North American travellers might find this jarring, but personally I love it. I'm excited to come back to try breakfast!

Yelp
On the way back to the office on a bike ride really needed a drink and something to eat. So just stopped at this little cafe. There are at least 5 cafes in a row here. Order a fresh lemonade and some lovely cheese pirogy. The drink was very refresh but a little small and the meal was lovely. It came covered in a sauce which was sweet and complemented the cheese nicely. The service was fine. The price was also good. A lovely little cafe to stop at for lunch. I've only given this 4 stars as its a little basic and I probably wouldn't go there for dinner.

Yelp
Service was really not paced well for our group of 8. The server brought dishes out as they were ready so some of us got starters as others got entree. The highlight was the strawberry pierogi for dessert. These were exceptional! My entree was just ok-zrazy-which is a beef roll up with gravy.

Yelp
I'm sorry, but I'm not sure why all the rave reviews. I chose this place because of them, and came away a tad disappointed. Yes the place was busy, but firstly I was left to find a table for myself, then trying to grab a waitress was a mission. They were tearing round at a million miles an hour - made me feel like I was imposing on them when trying to place an order. The tables had no tablecloths or even paper placemats, just scrappy old chipped tables (meant to be quirky I know), but I didn't see one wiped down after diners left. The food came fairly efficiently and was nice enough, but nothing outstanding. The dessert - cake was unfresh and the manager was rude due to the fact that we informed him about the situation. I found it odd that one of the chefs was out clearing tables and serving drinks - why wasn't he in the kitchen? Although I have to say he was much calmer than the waitresses who were racing around. I'm afraid this wasn't a relaxing, pleasant dinner experience for me - I couldn't wait to leave as the rushing unnerved me.
