Excellent establishment, you could stay on the premises day after day and enjoy their amenities. The pool area was a paradise, the food in the restaurants was great and the staff is courteous. The 24/7 security ensures that the place stays safe for all guests. Didn't go the spa but it looked great, the gym is clean and had enough equipment to keep up a workout all the way across the world.

The rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly. I ordered a Coca Cola and they served it with ice. Pool was warm and immaculate. We were up high, maybe the fifth floor. Carpets and beds were clean and the room service was quick and efficient.

I liked the security machine for all incoming baggage, it definitely made us feel safe. Their lobby is not the biggest but it was Christmas so it was well decorated with lovely ambiance. ||Breakfast is decent. Good selection of food.||Room is clean, quite old furnishings, the pool is small.||Very close to the night market and shopping malls.||Visited 2017. We will be back.

The hotel is nice and clean. It shows that the building is well maintained. The room is tidy (as it should be) and quite modern. However, I had to take a star away because our check-in was delayed and I didn't enjoy their breakfast buffet (which came with the room). It wasn't anything special and I find the dishes served there quite lacking in either flavor, salt, or sugar. I usually enjoy buffets because I would at least find a favorite out of all, but I'm sorry, there was nothing I found worth raving about. You're better off eating somewhere else for breakfast. Perhaps it was a bad day when we came? Idk. I just expected more from this hotel.

Google
first thing I noticed in this hotel a) the Receptionist has the sour face you could ever see. with the discriminating look while we’re checking in. b) breakfast buffet? Shocking! Their food was cold & basic if you’re a westerner expecting a good breakfast might as well look for good restaurant outside the hotel. I expected a lot from this 5 star hotel and I am not going back again never again. c) staff needs more training on how to accommodate their guests.

Our third time staying in this hotel. Excellent, accommodating staff. Great breakfast buffet. All restuarants have great food and friendly, competent service. Very nice pool, spa and gym on location. The security is very tight at the entrance, they take guest security very seriously. Atmosphere inside is relaxed and cordial. Excellent customer service from the guards all the way to the concierge and desk staff. Highly recommended.

Google
The hotel is the best in town! The lobby offers comfortable sitting places for small meetings or for simply lounging. The rooms are very big, clean and has comfortable beds and pillows. Their buffet meals feature both local and international dishes. It also has a large swimming pool.

Yelp
Stayed here recently, and the atmosphere was unsettling. The dim lighting, creaky floors, and eerie silence gave off serious ghost vibes. Felt like something out of a haunted movie. If you're into that kind of thrill, this might be for you, but it wasn't quite the relaxing stay I was hoping for.

Yelp
This review is for the 2nd floor restaurant located within the Marco Polo Hotel. Without a doubt the best restaurant I have dined at during my visit to Davao City. The restaurant itself is extremely classy, and offers a superb buffet selection, and amazing choice of desserts, that is one of the best I have experienced. The food quality is prime, great choice of wines, and the staff first rate. All in all, I enjoyed an excellent meal here, and most certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for fine dining in Davao City.

Yelp
Best there is in the city! If you're staying in Davao, and want a safe experience.. this is the place to stay. Upon arriving to the hotel, there is security upon security. The customer service is outstanding and the hospitality is unmatched. They have currency exchange at the front desk. Breakfast buffet is included in base rate. The pool is magical. They gym is adequate and made working out easy here. There is a spa with a ton of wonderful treatments. A few restaurants within the hotel- I would recommend the lotus room (Chinese fusion style). I can't emphasize enough, a very very safe hotel.

Yelp
I had fairly high expectations after hearing about Marco Polo from friends and relatives however they weren't meet. First my room wasn't ready after the check-in in time. That was fine and they gave us a room upgrade. The suite was dated. The worst was the shower. Even with just the hot water on, it would fluctuate between very cold to very hot. I took it but my wife ended up using the bathtub aa a shower. The fixtures are quite dated and sprayed water everywhere. We recently stayed at the Ducit Thani and that was a much better experience.

Yelp
I must say this place is spectacular. I would rat it a 5***** Hotel. B sides the amenities and the highe d and lavish furnishings. I would most definitely go back to this hotel again. Too bad we ar only her for 1 day. Staff ar very hospitable, accommodating & most of all friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. A little on the pricey side. But then you are paying for what th y have to offer. So I would say very much worth it! When in Davao, you must stay in this Lavish 5**^^^ Hotel. They have 3 main restaurants and I must say boy you have I try their food! It was delish and the choices were endless. They have 2 little ones. Choices galore...

Yelp
This is where we stay every time we come to davao .i lost my cellphone in the taxi where we rode from the hotel .. the great management team where tirelessly helped me out to locate the driver ... I cannot thank you guys enough.. I certainly recommend this to my friends in US to stay here with at ease and relaxing place to be at... I love Marco Polo!!! To all staff from front desk to buffet and room service and concierge...

Yelp
I stayed at the Marco Polo for about 3 weeks! While visiting the Philippines for business purposes. I actually enjoyed my stay here, they were very attentive and all ways made sure I was taken care of. I actually ordered room service almost every day multiple times through out the day so they probably loved me lol. They always had quick services and always wanted to keep my room tidy even when I didn't care for a clean lol so that's a good thing. The only thing I would mark them down for is the fact that I would get a "long staying guest" discount (%15) off of food. However they would forget sometimes to apply it. So it's like sometimes it would be on my room service and sometimes not..... Oh and they charged me for a KitKat I never ate lol.....I promise I didn't. But hey 70 pesos won't hurt right? Good stay.

Yelp
Me and my fiancé spent 3 days and 2 nights here. The place was so clean and smells good. Our room 1713 was so clean and equipped with high technology. The free buffet breakfast was so good. Staff were helpful. The only thing that bothers me the most is the security. I know its for our safety but every time we go back to the hotel. the taxi driver should open his trunk and roll his window down for the security camera. IDK but it's annoying they're just dropping hotel guests. And when we enter the hotel our bags need to be checked and our body as well. I mean yeah every time you come in. Every piece of plastic you bring. We have to go through the metal detector and when we're done they still need to check our bodies by hand. Why put that machine there in the first place. Thinking about it makes me laugh. But i still recommend this hotel. Never tried any other yet.

Yelp
Was once the best hotel in Mindanao. But 15 years later lots of little things are broken. This place needs to tend to the details, something 5 star hotels are supposed to do. Business center horrible....15 year old computers. Useless. I guess that they assume everybody has a laptop, but this is inexcusable for a supposed world class hotel. Decent food. Expensive by local standards but cheap if you are comparing to Makati or USA. Nice pool. Definitely a 5 star spa. Very high end.

Yelp
This is a nice hotel to stay within the city. It has a safer feel because of heightened security check even the car that enter. It's clean and it has amenities, courteous staff and nice bathroom complimentary kit. Get the cabana rm.

Yelp
Stayed here for a week on business and was very impressed with the service and offerings at this hotel. Being in a foreign country can be fun but also challenging at times and the staff at the Marco Polo were very accommodating to my needs. Additionally, for most of my trip I was working graveyard hours to match our US office hours and it nice that the hotel was able to accommodate my late night requests. The rooms are very spacious and the spa is amazing! I got a great massage, facial and body wrap for under $100 and the experience was phenomenal. I look forward to visiting again!

Yelp
This place is a very good place to stay in. For locals like me, it very expensive to stay in this place. Their service is great anything you ask for they comply. It is very secured. Rooms are clean however it is not spotless. Their food is great and very delicious. If their food is not your style, you could always go outside everynight since Roxas Night Market is just in front. Overall, this place is extremely awesome and a hotel which I will recommend my friends to stay at.

Yelp

Yelp
I stayed at the Marco Polo hotel for 3 weeks as I was working as the Director of Photography of a documentary film in the Philippines. The entire crew and cast poured money into this hotel in those three weeks, from transportation, food, lodging, room service, cleaning services etc. During my stay, half way into the third week, housecleaning came into my room and was cleaning up around my work desk and broke my brand new $3,500 US maxed out macbook! They tried to close the screen while I had SD cards stacked on the keyboard and shattered my screen and did damage to the upper right hand side of the keyboard, and damaged one of the SD cards almost causing us to loose 5 days worth of footage. When I confronted the hotel they "Opened and investigation" and by the next morning said they would not take blame for the macbook because housecleaning "said they didn't do it". So now after our productions has dumped tens of thousands of dollars into this hotel, they refuse to pay for the repair or replacement of my Macbook... Are you kidding me! When you have a professional team from Los Angeles come to make a film and include you in their film to help boost marketing, and dump money into them, you don't just dismiss a huge mistake on their behalf based off of the word of a housecleaning member who would obviously would not want to loose their job over something like this. I wasn't even asking for the macbook to be replaced! Just the repair invoice from Apple for the damage to be paid by Marco Polo. I am truly stunned they would treat me and my team in this manner after all we have done and spent at this hotel. To repair my macbook would be a small percentile compared to what we dumped into this hotel. I am utterly appalled by the poor decision and customer service of this hotel... I would not advise taking any expensive items into the hotel and leaving them out where housecleaning can damage them. Cons: Aside from them breaking my laptop, there are leaks from the roof in the lobbies, restaurants, rooms, gym and hallways. Even a leak from our light in the bathroom which can start an electrical fire. There is no microwave for an option to heat up food. Pros: They have security on site that always search you and the cars when you come in and out of the hotel. They have a medical team on staff 24/7. As well as probably the nicest hotel your going to find in Davao at this time. I would have better things to say about his hotel, but the poor decision they have made in handling this issue has left a bad taste in my mouth and bill that I will be stuck with from Apple that is clearly their mistake for my brand new 25 day old macbook.

Yelp
for Php4,000/ night last Dec 26-28, 2015, we were able to get a room, free extensive breakfast for two and free shuttle back and forth from the airport. Free breakfast buffet alone cost Php 700/person so that is Php 1,400 for two and our two year old ate for free. Granted the Php 600 was the charge for the shuttle one way, our room would cost Php 2,000/night then. Not bad. You didnt have to grab a taxi from the airport and you had a whole variety of good breakfast buffet to choose from, from Chinese (porridge) to Japanese sushis, Continental breakfast, local breakfast: the tablea (or local hot cocoa chocolate was my all time fave) to kakanins (biko the first day to palitao, the second day) plus extensive choices of fruits, you won't go hungry. I haven't been to a breakfast buffet as extensive as this.
