We decided to try this place despite reading mixed reviews, since our hostel helped us book a dinner reservation and submitted our pre-orders ahead of time. When we arrived, there was some confusion. Our group ended up being split, with five of us seated at a separate table because the long table they prepared wasn’t big enough. It seemed like something that could have been managed better, especially since they already knew how many guests were coming. There was available space nearby, so it felt more like a planning issue than a space problem.😅
The food arrived fairly quickly, likely because of the pre-order, which we appreciated. Prices are on the a little expensive side, though that seems to be standard for this area.
Food quality was a bit of a hit or miss. The Hawaiian pizza was really good and probably the best among all our orders. The calzone was also really good. Other dishes didn’t stand out as much. We ordered coconut balls based on the menu, which made us expect a few pieces, but it turned out to be just one small piece for 100 pesos. It was very dry and crumbly, to the point that it just fell apart in your mouth. Some people might enjoy that texture, but for us, it wasn’t very satisfying. Also, it’s the same price as a bottle of beer 😅
The garlic bread was the least enjoyable. It had an extremely strong and bitter taste, possibly from raw or overcooked garlic. After just one bite, we couldn’t finish it.
The mozzarella sticks were okay, especially when paired with the dip but I think the dipped could be improved by balancing the ratio. The ravioli carbonara was very dense and dry. We were hoping for something creamier, but it felt like it may have been prepared earlier and reheated. The lasagna was also on the bland side. Considering the price point, we expected more flavor. The hummus was decent and came with what seemed like pita bread.
One thing we liked was the button system at the table. You can press it to call staff or request the bill, which is convenient. They also offer service water. One of my friends didn’t notice the button and walked inside to ask for water but nobody came. But once we used the button, someone came right away. It would be good, though, to make sure the water containers are always clean. Another friend used the sink and noticed there was no soap available, which is something that could be improved.
When we paid the bill, we saw that a couple of items were missing from the receipt. We pointed it out so they could be added. We didn’t want any staff member to be held accountable later during audits, so we made sure to settle it properly. It’s also important to note that they only accept cash, so make sure to have enough on hand before coming.
All in all, it was a decent dining experience. The service was polite, and the setup is nice, but there are definitely areas that could be improved, from coordination and communication to food consistency. Some dishes were great, others were underwhelming. If you plan to visit, it’s still worth trying, just manage expectations and bring cash.
PS. Their calzone was amazingg!!
