⚠️ WARNING – Marco Polo Ortigas! I’ve stayed here many times as a Discovery member and always had great experiences — until my last visit. Me and my wife stayed for 1 week, under the Continental Club on the top floor. What happened on my last visit - I got alcohol poisoning from the rooftop club (after 1 glass only!), spent 72 hours vomiting (over 30 times), ended up in the ER, and my last week of holiday was destroyed. The most shocking part? Even after I told the hotel exactly what happened, they never removed the alcohol. That means another guest could still drink from the same bottles and suffer the same nightmare. This is my biggest concern — they did nothing to protect future guests. Housekeeping was also unacceptable. I asked for my room to be cleaned, but they claimed they “couldn’t enter” even though no one was inside. When we came back from the hospital expecting a clean room, it still wasn’t done. We had to call again, wait outside, and only then did they clean it. Completely uncomfortable and not what you expect from a five-star hotel. Then, the day after I checked out, they attempted to charge my card twice for ₱3,000–₱4,000 PHP of food — without asking me, without informing me, and without my consent. Luckily, my card declined the charges, but the fact they tried is unacceptable for a hotel that calls itself 5-star. I will not return, and I’m posting this so no one else goes through what I did, I hope!

We've stayed at Marco Polo several times already, but during our most recent visit, the service felt extra warm and accommodating. Everyone from the front desk to the pool staff made sure we were well taken care of. Special mention to Josh and Jade at the pool who were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Their hospitality truly made a difference. We really enjoyed our time and are already looking forward to our next stay. Highly recommended!

The room is orderly and tidy. The toiletries have been filled. When I asked for additional complimentary bottled water, they responded right away. They ensured my stay was comfortable. We nevertheless enjoyed a really satisfying breakfast even though there weren't many food options at the buffet. This is reasonably priced!

Spent an overnight bonding with 8 other lady friends. We booked 3 rooms at the Continental Club floors and stayed at the lounge for afternoon tea and dinner cocktails. We'll go swimming tonight |and have a sumptuous breakfast tomorrow at the Cucina. Service was impeccable, the crew was attentive, and, food and free-flowing drinks were great.

The service is excellent. You know that the staff are well trained because they always smile and they are very attentive. Teddy, John, Carlo, Rannel and Bev are doing a great job assisting guests. Overall, we have a pleasant experience.

I had a great stay at Marco Polo Ortigas. The room was comfy and clean, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was really good too — lots of tasty options and nicely prepared. Overall, a nice place to stay and eat. I’d definitely come back!

Our experience at Marco Polo was truly exceptional and far exceeded our expectations. Having experienced stays in various hotels, we can confidently say that this hotel stands out among the rest. Marco Polo distinguishes itself with remarkable service and hospitality. We highly recommend availing of the Continental Club experience—it is undoubtedly worth every peso and proved to be an excellent decision on our part. We celebrated our anniversary at the hotel, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests, making the occasion even more memorable. The room was spacious and offered a breathtaking view, adding to the overall comfort and enjoyment of our stay. From the moment we checked in until the time of our departure, the entire process was seamless and hassle-free. Although we missed our scheduled afternoon coffee on one of the days, the staff graciously accommodated us the following day, which we deeply appreciated. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Maica and her team for their outstanding service and dedication. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality significantly contributed to the overall excellence of our stay. We have already shared our wonderful experience with our family and are looking forward to booking another stay in the future.

Yelp
Late Post: This was my first time staying in Mandaluyong area. Was here for a week in business. Gotta say I had no real bad experiences. Hotel is clean, trendy and a little boujie and Iam here for it. Complimentary breakfast buffet was great. Food does not rotate often, but it was great. Local dishes to some american classics and 3 kinds of sausages will always hot the spot. Staff was always professional and helpful. Room was great, and always spotless after room after Housekeeping comes through. Loved the fact there is a 7-Eleven on the ground floor, Jollibees next door, a bank next door, and McDo down the block. Skybar Vu has nightlife, music playing decent appetizers with some amazing views. Def would not mind staying here again next trip.

Yelp
Stayed here again for 5 days & loved it. They have great service & great rooms! Breakfast is good & can probably get better. Jade & Pola at the breakfast buffet gave us us excellent service! However they started this weird policy of not being able to wear sandals to breakfast buffet which was obviously not enforced by staff... lol. So I hope they get rid of that policy. I will suggest that on their survey. I love this hotel & will definitively stay here again. It's walking distance to everything so you won't starve lol.

Yelp
Service, features, views, food in lounge. Attractive staff, welcoming . Location is near a popular dance site

Yelp
The folks in the front desk, Reggie and Anj were very helpful. They are accommodating and welcoming. Eric in valet-bellhop department is also excellent. I enjoyed my visit. This hotel is world class. The rooms are nice, fantastic service, lovely facilities like the spa, pool, dining rooms. My family and I also enjoyed our lunch in Lung Hin, the Chinese restaurant. That was an experience. The servers were attentive. Our Peking duck was superb.

Yelp
On the surface, this hotel is very classy with fine service and staff. But after staying 3 nights here (glad it wasn't more), it has many unusual, unnecessary, and bothersome quirks and restrictions. It would take a page to list them all, but this is not a hotel I would return to for a relaxing vacation.

Yelp
The hotel is located at the congested part of Ortigas. Traffic is heavy during peak hours albeit the upscale tower. Marco Polo is standing 45-floor high with high end facilities and modern rooms. Booked a Deluxe Room for P5500 with Breakfast for two. Rooms are elegantly designed with monochromatic tones and stylish furnitures. It is warmly lit setting a calm mood for the guests. The bath room is luxe and sleek with a marble bath tub. The indoor lap pool is at the 22nd floor overlooking ortigas skyline. A jacuzzi and sauna is also for the exclusive use of guests. The hotel boasts the top-floor bar, Vu sky lounge. It opens from 5pm to 2am serving food and cocktails. If you're not into late night drinks and prefers to workout anytime, the Fitness Center is open for 24hours. Breakfast at Cucina is memorably satisfying. There is a wide range of food selection. Be it a business-related stay or leisure time with family or friends, Marco Polo is a top-notch choice in Ortigas district.

Yelp
BLUF: Four stars for the attentive service (seems everyone knows my name after 1 day). The fifth star eludes this Marco Polo for the physical condition of my room. I definitely need to explain... The room "looks" great (see pics). But when you actually stay in the room, it seems that many things are worn, likely a testament to the actual construction vice the care of the building. Everything I my room is clean and nicely laid out, but the floor covering seems to be rather faded and the shower door molding on the floor is coming apart. I can only conclude that either this horse was ridden hard or the workmanship to finish the room was a little shoddy. But to end on a more positive note, the club member floor (44th floor) was awesome...great view and big selection of western and some Filipino foods.

Yelp
Very secure hotel. Staff is friendly and after a few days, knows you by name. I gave it four stars because of the food. I do have the complimentary breakfast and having to stay here for 2 weeks due to work, I expected a bit more of a variety. I was on a time constraint in the morning and have basically been eating the same thing even though it's a buffet style breakfast. Please add more options for breakfast especially for those who are vegetarian, pescatarian or vegan. Aside from that, rooms are clean and very nice.

Yelp
Honestly, the hotel amenities are amazing. They give you good quality items like towels, sheets, etc. for the price you pay for. Sadly, what ruins the experience is the staff that needs better training/coordination (similar to their confusing elevators and reception areas). For this stay, we booked two rooms for a group of 4 people. Upon checking in, the front desk already asked us to inform them upfront if my family and I were having breakfast and that they needed to reserve early so that we get a discount. We found it weird but still reserved our seats nonetheless. We were then directed to a room with flickering lights and this weird smell - like unclean, humid vents. I asked for assistance and the bellhop told me that this wasn't part of his scope but the front desk would be able to help me out. He refused to ask help for us. Fine. I called 2 times and both times, the calls were dropped. 3rd time I called, the front desk told me that I had to wait 15 minutes to be transferred as they needed to recheck if the room I'll be transferred to will be to my liking. Fair. I waited for more than 45 minutes (yes, I kept checking my watch since the smell was intolerable) and that's the only time housekeeping knocked and asked me to transfer. The room they transferred me in was pretty decent. No more issues until breakfast time. When we were waiting to be seated, the restaurant staff told us that we had to pay full price because we didn't reserve upon checking in. They also asked us to wait again because they had to recheck. They called the front desk (which was beside the restaurant, btw) and the front desk told them that they couldn't find our reservation! They asked us if we were willing to pay full price and that if not, they'll accommodate the people behind us. Rude. My sister had to ask them to recheck both rooms we stayed in and magically, the reservations suddenly appeared. They directed us to our seats near the air conditioning vent so we were shivering the whole time. They didn't even apologize! Cretins. As we left the hotel, my mom realized that she forgot something along her bedside table. I called the receptionist who was friendly enough to inform us that they will check all the rooms and shall call me up if they find anything. After confirming that it was really in the hotel, she asked us to come back after 30 minutes to pick up the item. We came back around that time and no surprise, the item wasn't there. They weren't able to coordinate with the front desk! The front desk asked for my ID as additional security and asked me to wait again in a place where the front desk won't see me but I learned my lesson. I told them that I will stay in front of them so that they can feel the pressure of wasting our time. The item was finally claimed after 20 minutes of additional waiting. Overall, if you don't have to talk to their staff or anyone employed there, I think you will enjoy your stay. If you have to talk to someone there, expect the worst. That way, you don't get disappointed with their inefficiency.

Yelp
So what exactly is the Marco Polo touch? The staff friendliness? Check. Beautiful interiors? Check check. Reasonably priced rooms? Check check check. My family and I spent a night in this hotel last year and it is by far the best hotel experience we've had in this country. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Nothing more I can say actually but this is a high end hotel done right. The location smacked right at the heart of the Ortigas area which is a stone's throw away from Shangri la Plaza, Podium, Megamall and Robinsons. The new Estancia mall and Kapitolyo area is also just a short commute away. As for amenities, the indoor swimming pool will make you feel like a million bucks while you're doing a butterfly stroke. They even have a sauna and gym to complete the experience. It's really hard to nitpick anything bad about the place. Some of the rooms might have better view compared to the others (there's a view overlooking the towering Union Bank building) but I think the price is also adjusted to that.

Yelp
Great facility, view, location BUT NOT USER-FRIENDLY 1) Elevators should have a SIMPLE sign that says what floors it services. 2) Restroom has poor ventilation!!! I do not want to smell what someone else ate earlier! 3) One extreme position of any valve should be complete shut off. If someone has an accident, the impulse is to push the valve back fast and hard. Pushing it back IN A CRISIS puts it in soft spray mode, not complete shut-off. You have to consider that many guests have to dress up!!! 4) Guests do NOT check into a hotel to read a manual. One should not have to fiddle with the controls. Air-conditioning control should be simple. A guest finds it too cold, push the temp UP button; too hot, temp DOWN button. Not so in this hotel.

Yelp
This was a welcomed surprise at the end of a two week trip after many other stops in subpar hotels. Loved the rooftop bar and the gym was clean and had nice new equipment. Room was lovely even if the view was marginal (another building). Excellent service. I will be in Manila frequently for business. I will return.

Yelp
Probably the most memorable 5 star hotel I've been to. It's memorable because of all the bad experiences me and my wife encountered in this hotel. The only reason we stayed was because we booked our family NYE celebration at VU Skybar in this hotel. Our check in was OK. Their lobby is located on the 24th floor of the hotel. To get to your room, you have to transfer from one elevator on the 24th floor to another elevator to your room. It gets really packed to the point that you have to fall in line just to get to the elevator with no organization whether your going up or down. Only one elevator goes to all the floors. We tried the complimentary breakfast buffet they offered, it starts from 6-10AM. We got there at 9:15AM and was asked to wait while they prepare our table (they weren't preparing our table it was just really packed) when we got seated at 9:50AM we were told that it will end at 10:15AM. When we looked at the food they offered at the buffet it was either empty or left-over food. (No butter, syrup, and basic stuff you would see in a breakfast buffet) We asked if they can put more food and they just ignored us. The omelette eggs and coffee took forever for them to give. Eventually my wife and I , plus another couple from Europe complained and they just gave us Adobo and Bacon which we didn't eat. (Bacon has no taste and Adobo was hard as hell and probably left-overs too). We were sleeping in the afternoon and the phone kept on ringing because the front desk wanted to know if we want the room to be cleaned. They also don't respect the "Do No Disturb" sign, they will still knock on your door even if it's on. The main entrance is always packed for some reason...some cars are parked, blocking the entry way and we have no choice to get on and off the street even if it's raining. We had our room cleaned and the carpet was not vacuumed. We have raised our concern while we were here but nothing has been done. Their Facebook reviews showed they responded to the concern but there was no follow up from Marco Polo. I will recommend the VU Skybar but not the hotel itself.

Yelp
For the ones traveling from other countries may be interested to know it is a hotel affiliated with Omni Hotels. If you have status with Discovery or Omni you have it same when you check in here. It's great business hotel, right in the action in Ortigas Pasig city area, only 40 min/ 1 hr form Manila airport and 30 Min from Makati. They have club level rooms and are not much diff in rates than the rest and you get all the access, free internet, breakfast, separate check-in desk etc... Advisable to go that route. Breakfast is great and pool is awesome. Rooms are not anything special but well equipped with basic amenities and staff/ service is very good. The hotel has two restaurants, one coffee shop and a rooftop bar. Best venue for business meetings and entertaining clients if you don't want to go to Makati. The entrance is not grand but everything else is great, you almost miss seeing it when car passes by the street. Chinese restaurant on premises is only a notch up of pfchangs, great ambience but good option only if you are staying in and don't want to stick your neck in the traffic and enjoy more fantastic restaurants in the vicinity.

Yelp
I had a great experienced at this hotel in HK back in 2017, so decided to try MP Ortigas location. It's a great location, walking distance to shops, cafes and malls. Also, it's an arm reach to Union Bank where my cousin work. I rated at 3* due to airport shuttle service. Pros: Clean room, spacious for a single occupant and a great view of the city despite the traffic scene that starts at 0600. Friendly staff and very accommodating...except! Cons: 3/12 at 2130, Airport Shuttle service needs to change completely. I made a reservation to be pick up upon my arrival at a COST for convenience. Well, it did not happened. While waiting for my luggage at the carousel area I send a text to the hotel to let them know that I will out in 5-10 mins and ready. Few minutes later, I got a text saying that, " Sir, Take your time" and that, " once that you're in the parking lot I will call him (the driver)". LOL...I'm thinking to myself, " the driver is not outside the arrival area (exit)". I don't know where the hell he's at! WIth this kind of text, I called the hotel and find out WTFH. So, I spoke to someone and here's the instructions I got, " do you have a map", walk to the parking lot in the 3rd floor close by Burger King, and your driver will be there waiting for you". Really, with all my luggage...imagine "if" you have kids and it's your first time visiting the country, and you get this kind of treatment. It's close to 2200 and I'm still inside the baggage claim area confirming my ride. At this time, my patience was max-out and not a happy camper. Anyway, I just hanged-up the phone and exited the terminal at 2215. Now, when you requested an airport shuttle you expected a hotel rep waiting for you with the SIGN (your name) waving in the air, right? Hell no, instead " do you have a MAP"! So, I ended up taking a taxi for FAR less than the cost of the hotel charges. 2330 arrived at the hotel and checked in the 24th floor (main lobby). I told the front desk that, " no airport shuttle service was made and that, I was asked if I have a MAP". This is a classic from the person I spoke on the phone. Silent...she called the manager, came out and spoke to me. The manager was very apologetic of what happened. I told her that, " you need to CHANGE you SOP on your airport shuttle service and that, if you continue that kind services you WILL have piss-off guess(es)" and NO FUTURE RETURNS! I went ahead and blocked my anger-frustration and laughed it off...because of the MAP :-). Recommendations: consider other options if you expect better results.

Yelp
Marco Polo Hotel really exceeded my standards (mind you, they are pretty high!). The service was impeccable. Everyone is so polite the moment you enter! One thing that's confusing though is their elevators, their lobby is on the 24th floor and then you need to transfer to a different elevator to be able to go to your room. But other than that, everything was grand! We were lucky enough to get upgraded to the Deluxe Room (woohoo!) and it was fantastic! With a great view, we didn't even leave our room for the most part of our stay here! And because of that, we didn't get to explore the other facilities of the hotel, even the pool. But at least it's something to look forward to next time, right? We also really enjoyed the food in Cucina, the hotel's buffet restaurant offering Continental and Asian cuisine. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to both local and foreign residents!

Yelp
We stayed here twice over a two week period (4 nights and 2 nights). They have a couple restaurants, cafe, spa/pool/gym, etc. We tried them all...some more than others. I'll cover each: Pool area is NICE and has a great view. Two minor drawbacks: First, the spa has 3 seats with jets. Not much for a hotel of this size. Second, my second visit had several kids in the pool. There is absolutely no sound absorption so the noise and echoes were pretty significant. My first visit had about 3 people in there and it was very peaceful and relaxing. Cafe: Nice selection of food for breakfast. This was great since we were on the go every single day (both visits) and we could just grab and go. The smoothies were excellent, as well. Spa: Over the course of both stays, I think we hit the spa for massages 3 times. All three times were outstanding in service, quality and value. The massages themselves were beyond expectations. Whomever trains these therapists knows what they are doing. They were better than what we usually get in the states. Cucina Restaurant: We never did the buffet but we did eat here via the menu. The food was, as expected, delicious. The staff/service, also as expected, above the standard. The food here was the best I had in my two weeks in the Philippines. The dim sum and braised BBQ ribs were exceptional. I actually raved about the ribs to people here at home and that was after a trip that included a luxury wedding and a trip to El Nido!! Gym: The gym is sparse on equipment but certainly enough to get the job done. The only piece of equipment I was really missing to the point it disappointed me was a sit-up bench. However, they did have an abs machine but it just wasn't effective. The best part was Henry. He was there every morning (we did go every morning) to help and answer questions. He wasn't intrusive during the workout but was always standing by to help with equipment, make suggestions, and even discuss tourist activities. To say he was attentive and professional would be an understatement. Thanks, Henry!! Finally, a note about all the facilities commonalities. Everything in the hotel was spotless. The rooms, the hallways, the staff....every detail was clean as can be. The staff in every facility was polite and very eager to accommodate. I even called to ask where I can get an AA battery for a razor. There is a 7-11 store adjacent to concierge (same building but behind the double doors). Instead of suggesting that, someone ran up with two batteries. Awesome!! One last thing: Everything has a service charge. The staff get "tips" from that service charge. If you are visiting Manila and staying in a hotel of this caliber, TIP THE STAFF!!! To stay in such a fine establishment and not offer a couple buck (or 100 pisos) is shameful. Take care of them, regardless if someone says it is not necessary. It is not "necessary" anywhere. Your generosity will come back to you. Thank you to the Marco Polo staff for a great visit! http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g298453-d5288368-r320799837-Marco_Polo_Ortigas_Manila-Pasig_Metro_Manila_Luzon.html#

Yelp
Very nice hotel with extremely friendly employees from the time you walk in until the time you leave. We stayed here 8 days the first part of our vacation and the last night in country. Transportation service - I had written ahead and requested a van to pick my family and I up (4 of us) and it worth it. Never picked a bag up after getting them off of the airport belt and to put it back on the belt at the check-in station. Spa - SWEET! I had 3 massages done while at the Marco Polo with Michelle and she was great! She always asked if the pressure was ok, which areas I needed her to focus on, and always cared if I needed anything from start to finish like water or tea. Rooms - Excellent and easy if needing anything extra. We only had enough towels and items for 2 guests but we had 4 and so they brought everything extra that we needed within a few minutes of requesting. Gym - nice pool - nice but extremely warm if just sitting and watching others swim but they have water to drink and will give you a towel and a newspaper for you to use and read while waiting for them to finish swimming. Location - If you aren't driving anywhere and want to be close to everything then this is the right hotel. They have a shuttle to and from the SM Megamall which is only about 3/4 of a mile from the hotel. We walked there with our 2 sons and never had any problems or concerns about safety since it is a lighted road there and back. They also have the Metrowalk across the street using the back entrance to the hotel loaded with American style places to eat and a AWESOME wide selection Korean BBQ place to eat if you use the over the road crosswalk and once at the bottom just walk straight down the sidewalk past Lydia's Lechen and it's the next place on the left. The reason for the 4 star instead of a 5 star is there communication - I had written ahead using the hotel communication through booking.com and corresponded with the hotel directly on needing a room with 2 queen beds because of having 4 guests and requesting transformers for charging our phones/hairdryer.... Well the first time I checked in they changed our room with no problem to a room with 2 queen even though they still had us as staying in a room with 1 king bed. The one night stay the second visit wasn't as good, they had the same thing and then told us they didn't have a room they could put 2 beds together in and made us upgrade to a lot more expensive room and charged us for a rollaway bed )but took the charge off after I talked to them the next morning.) They said it would be brought up between 5 - 6 p.m. so at 10 p.m. when the kids were tired I finally had to call down and ask where the bed was. To finish on a high note, the upstairs VU club was really nice and the music was good. It's a very nice upscale bar and they have an outside area bar section also if you are a smoker or just want to sit outside in the fresh hot humid air :) Kids under age 21 are allowed to go in the bar with their parents after you sign a waiver saying that it is ok for them to go in the bar with you but are not allowed to go to the outside bar area even with adults because of smokers. Overall great hotel for the money and worth every penny spent. Peaceful nights and probably the best beds in the Philippines along with the quietest rooms, you won't hear anyone next to you or walking through the hallway.

Yelp
Very nice hotel for a reasonable rate. We were about to book a different hotel but husband chanced upon Marco Polo and since he'd stayed in one in Hong Kong we decided with go with this one. The check in was on the 24th floor instead of the ground floor. The rooms were right sized and gorgeous. I loved the rain shower and the great water pressure. The only thing was they could have done a better job at leveling the bathroom floor. There was a lot of pooling of the water because the floor wasn't sloping towards the drain. There's a glass between the bathroom and the bedroom. So if there's someone else in the room and you want to use the toilet, you'll have to pull down the blinds. The room and bed is very comfortable. No HD channels on TV but good enough. The light switches took a while to figure out though. Rooms come with free wifi and safety deposit box. There's a gym and indoor pool on the 22nd floor. The gym is very well equipped and there's a jar of smoothies after your workout. There's a friendly gym instructor called Arnold who can give you tabata or other training sessions. There's a 7-11 on the ground floor, which is very convenient. The hotel is also about 20 minutes walk from SM Megamall, there's a Starbucks behind the building and it's easy to find food around the area. Couple of not-so-great things: The elevator system drives me nuts. You have to ride the elevator to the 24th floor and transfer to the ones serving the room floors. They literally need to have ushers on the 1st and 24th floor to help guests get to the right elevators. While it's very convenient to walk to places around the hotel, the traffic is really heavy and it takes a long time to return to the hotel by car.

Yelp
I'll be honest, I looked at Marco Polo Ortigas' facilities for strictly professional reasons. That, and I have a friend/honorary sister in sales, and what can I say, I'm a sucker for guided tours of the facilities. The following is a retelling of the tour: We started with the rooms, and the one type that really stuck to me is the one with the shower/bath that has a commanding view of the bed area. That is to say, whoever is in the room gets to watch their companion shower, and as Ms. Tablante said: "kinky". This suite is obviously for intimate couples. While perhaps unsuitable for a corporate promo, the other rooms are definitely so, and I was impressed with the multimedia amenities present in EVERY room: you can actually get a room to use for a cool team briefing, or even a quiet business deal (perhaps use the shower/bath glass wall strategically here). The rest of the amenities are also oh-so-cool. A roof lounge, with separate loud and quiet areas, perfect for that party-scene vibe. A quieter, library-themed place, perfect for getting your read on. A heated pool, with changing room/locker amenities that boast of a full sauna (this impressed me to no end, being handed a complimentary lemon water even more so). But of course, what's a Ronan.E review without food and restaurants? The jewels of this hotel are the Lung Hin restaurant, an authentic Cantonese-themed place, with THE COOLEST entrance divider ever, and the Café Pronto, where I had a chocolate-dipped croissant (this, I will expand on) thanks to Ms. Tablante. If you're looking for a great place to book for corporate gatherings and functions or even looking to stay at a, and this is my excitement speaking here, a banging-ass, bleeding-edge cool place, go for Marco Polo Ortigas. Oh, and look for Nica Tablante.

Yelp
We stayed at the Marco Polo Ortigas a few weeks ago and it was a truly 5 star experience. We, a group of 4 Americans, had a 3:00 am flight home so we had to check out the day before. The hotel was accommodating in letting us leave our bags while we shopped and even found is a small unused conference room so we could repack with all the stuff we bought during the day. Everyone, from the valet, to the servers, to the concierge, was great to work with. We loved our stay and will be sure to return.

Yelp
I am currently staying at this hotel now until New Year's Eve and I'm not impressed. First of all the lobby to check-in is on the 24th floor. It has a great view but in order to go to your room you need to switch elevators. Also if you want to go to the ground floor you need to switch elevators as well. It's the most confusing and annoying thing, come and you will experience it yourself. Once in the elevator your crammed in and the ventilation sucks. The room is nice when you first walk in, but the functionality of the lights make no sense. The light switch next to my bed shuts the lights off in the bathroom. The light switch for the whole room only work from 4:00pm-8:00pm. When we want to turn the main light on during the day it doesn't work. There are more switches on the wall than their are lights that are working. So it's a dark room most of the time for us. When you click the "do not disturb" button, you will still be disturbed with a phone ringing mid-afternoon asking if you want your room cleaned. Also if that's not enough to call, someone will knock and ask you. Remember this is all done with my "do not disturb" sign still ON. The buffet...ok read this part carefully!!! It's a complimentary buffet from 6:00am-10:15am. If you arrive there past 8:30am expect to wait a while cause it's packed. When you finally get seated your options are rice, left over food that looks like throw up, no butter for the bread, no maple syrup for the pancakes, omelettes that take forever to make and are the size of a child's hand. When I spoke to the manager she asked what I wanted and I said "this is a buffet if I wanted to order something I would have went to a sit down restaurant!" I was disappointed and disgusted with this "5-Star" buffet. I have been there once and I'm staying here until the 31st and spending a lot of money for their NYE Party on the rooftop. I am not going to bother going back to that low quality buffet and even if I complain to the manager they are going to apologize and basically do nothing about it. I should be given a free couples spa or something because for the amount of money we have spent here the quality is poor and I DO NOT recommend this hotel at all. It's all show with no class attached to its name.

Yelp
A little less than a year ago, Marco Polo Hotel has reached Manila! I've only stayed at the one in Cebu before this. My family and I stayed a night in this newly opened one located in Ortigas in front of Metrowalk. From outside, it seemed like a cramped spaced hotel but once I went in I was really impressed. The high ceilings and wide spaces made me feel really comfortable! The overall vibe was very modern yet light. Not only were the rooms great but the facilities were too! I did a little bit of exploring to burn time so I went to Flow. It's the floor where their gym, spa and pool is. For an indoor pool, it was really nice. The ceiling to floor windows don't make you feel like you're indoors. I found it very relaxing because the view was good. The female locker room was really awesome! I've never seen much of really well designed bathrooms like this. This is one has a sauna, great looking showers as well as the "powder room" area where you can completely fix yourself up and feel like you're in a hotel room, not a communal bathroom. It was a good and comfortable experience where all employees attended to all our needs. The staff was very attentive. I really felt like we were taken cared off.

Yelp
This is one of the best pools that I've ever seen in the city, but unfortunately you can't swim here unless you're checked in at the hotel. The water is warm, it is blue as a lagoon, and there's nothing on this planet that's more inviting especially when just you've come from being exposed to the natural tropical weather in Manila. It offers a stunning view of the city as natural light in let in by the glass on one side of the pool. Basically, it's a glorious experience and if you ever get the opportunity, don't miss it.

Yelp
I've never been to Davao but one of my sisters' favorite hotels there is Marco Polo. They always stay there whenever they come for a vacation and she's had good reviews about them considering she works for a different hotel. When I found out that they were building a Marco Polo Hotel here in Manila specifically in Ortigas, I was excited. I finally got to experience this hotel last November and I was impressed. I've been to numerous hotels locally and internationally and Marco Polo I can say had one of the best hotel rooms I've stayed in. The hotel room was huge. It even had a couch by the window with a lamp when you just want to read and look at the view. I love how big their bathroom was especially I being 5'11; I always need space to move. I love their rain shower fixture and the rooms' instant coffee maker. I will definitely return to this hotel maybe for a staycation over a weekend.

Yelp
No customer service. I had gifted 2 nights at Marco Polo & 7 nights at the Peninsula Manila. My guests were ecstatic after the Peninsula experience. Upon check in, Marco Polo (front desk service named Ivy) demanded my guests to produce my credit card that I used to pre-pay the 2 nights. After 4 hours waiting, I chat with Agoda to fix the issue. A full day has passed then my guests were treated with attitude that they were doing my guests a favor. I ask, what kind of a hotel does this to their customer and remains in business. To quell my issues, Agoda was able to have Marco Polo agree to check my customers in. But guess what, since a day of the pre-pay has passed, they told my guests that check in time is 3pm for the 2nd paid night and they have to check out at 10am. I know, it is unbelievable. Book here at your own risk. Hope you don't have a customer service issue. Do not gift a room and make sure you bring the credit card. An ID at Marco Polo does not work. Better yet, check in at the Peninsula Manila. They know how to treat a customer.

Yelp
Arrived here late at night like after 11pm. Staff was friendly and quick to check me in and allowed me to have a late 4pm check out time. This hotel feels very modern. The rooms don't have any out-dated furniture. All the interior design look modern including the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Great city view from the room. The lobby breakfast had many choices and was delicious! There's a 7-11 right downstairs on the ground floor for all your needs like water, quick meal, fruits, etc. Also an ATM next to 7-11. The ortigas area is a very busy area with traffic, as with the rest of Manila. The Ortigas MRT station is a long walk from the hotel, about 20 minutes. Same with SM Megamall, which is one of the largest in the Philippines. But there is also another good mall called Robinsons Galleria and that's about a 10 minute walk. Yes you will have to cut through some back curvy streets to get to them. Also when you exit the back entrance of the hotel, you will see a starbucks and Seattle's best coffee! Room WiFi was super fast!
