Coffee Ideas ( former Marcscafe)

Cafe Ideas in Pondicherry is a lovely spot with a nice, pleasant, and cozy ambience. I tried their coffee and croissants, and the almond croissant was the best-fresh, flaky, and absolutely delicious. A great place to relax and enjoy good coffee with quality bakes.

This is an outstanding place for coffee! There is nowhere to compare with it in Pondicherry. The selection of coffees and the knowledge of the staff is world class. I visited twice and the service and coffee were consistently excellent. I only had an almond croissant with my coffee but both were as good as anywhere I have had in Europe! I also bought some chocolate there which was first class too. I don’t normally write reviews but I was moved to do this because I googled where to get good coffee and a couple of other places had higher scores so I checked them out and they were as nothing compared to Marc’s. I bought four bags of beans to take home with me! It’s really worth a visit!!

We stopped by this cafe for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Their butter croissants were delightful, and the cold drip coffee was so good that we even carried some back with us to Hyderabad. The menu also features refreshing salads made with raw or lightly boiled fresh vegetables. We tried the egg dosa, which was absolutely delicious. On top of that, the staff was extremely welcoming and helpful, making the visit even more memorable

When i had my hot chocklate , it tasted sour. When I asked about it, the barista told they use some speciality chocolate. I was not happy about the taste as it ruined my taste buds for next 3 hours. Believe me I had hot chocolate in different countries like Singapore, Australia and many more countries. this one tasted worst and not even close to what generally people call it as hot chocklate. I saw the pondy - cheif minister having cofee here. Need fix given the reputation it has built. However the Service and atmosphere is excellent.

One of our favourite cafe's in all of Pondicherry! Lovely food, amazing vibes, very friendly staff and a huge coffee selection. Bonus points for their selected cookies! Must try their cappuccino, sepection of sandwiches and pesto pasta. If you've been to landor bakehouse in Mussoorie, this would remind you of it quite a lot. The staff too was very helpful with bright and smiling faces. Do try their selection of dark chocolates!

Giving 4 star rating due to the service. Found one of the staff quite rude and not interested in taking the order at all. Great ambience and food. We had almond croissant, dark chocolate Gelato and Flat White coffee. It wasnt exceptional but quite good.

one of the best croissants i've had. breads is clearly their X factor. intentionally curated food place, with beautiful details. ambience is cosy, warm, and bright. best time to go is for breakfast/brunch. bumped into Agnez (founder & chef) in the place, and it was clear how much she loves her craft. and it shows in the food that the cafe provides. FOOD I HAD- had a quiche, two cutu croissants (almond & pistachio). all three slapped! they even added some lovely salad with flowers on the side, which shows how every small thing is thought through. not the best omlette, but definitely not complaining.

We had breakfast here twice. The food was delicious although some of the dishes’ portion sizes were too small. The dosa here was delicious, especially the tomato chutney. The almond croissant is 🤌. I had an espresso and cafe latte and both were great. The sadhu sandwich was unfortunately not that filling although still delicious. The beetroot kvass is a must try. The ambience is what you’re paying the premium for. We were able to get a table for two without too much of a wait. The service here is pretty good. This place is highly recommended.
