I appreciate that management takes complaints seriously, and that speaks a lot about a business.
I was there recently on a Saturday night watching a recently released movie. A woman in the theater was repeatedly talking at full volume. Someone else in the theater asked them, not politely but also not egregiously, to stop talking. This woman then went into a flurry of curses and about a 60 second outburst. Five or so minutes later the manager came in to escort the lady out of the theater. This is the first time I've seen someone actually get hauled out of a theater in probably 20 years, and I go to the movies far more than your average person.
I say all that to say you can't blame a business for rowdy customers, but you can blame them for poor handling of said customers. I think here is an example of management responding appropriately and adequately to a situation and you don't often see that.
I think this theater has a lot to offer. Their seats are better than AMC, and their snack menu is pretty sizable. Also the icee machines are pretty much always in service, which has not been my experience at Easton. They also usually have everything they say they have on the menu, which again has not been my experience at Easton.
The place is usually mostly clean with the occasional over filled trash can or dirty toilet, but you shouldn't reasonably expect 100% cleanliness in a public establishment. This place is reasonably clean, most importantly the seats and trays are free of debris and residue. I hate to sound like a parrot, but that too has not been my experience at Easton.
The staff is young, and as one comes to expect, they don't feel obligated to be particularly friendly or helpful, and managing the concession lines is sometime chaotic. That's about what I have to say negative, and those, along with the occasional dirtiness, are the reasons I've chosen to give 4 instead of 5 stars. That said, I would give AMC Easton maybe 2, AMC Dublin and Polaris 18 a 3-3.5, so your takeaway should definitely be that I recommend this place over any other in the Columbus area.
All in all, this is one of the better theaters I've been to in years. It isn't perfect, but I've yet to see a perfect theater. It's a good time, the DLX screen is awesome, the seats are nice, the food is good, and management definitely tries to bring a satisfying experience for their customers.
