Mardi Gras Cajun Cuisine

We’ve lived across the street for about four months now and never thought to go there while we went to go to Family Dollar but they were closed because their system was down for 30 minutes so we went to order food there and it was the best thing we could’ve done. Food is amazing. Service is amazing sweet people and delicious food. I really recommend it. Edit: I came again and oOOOOMMMgGG its amazing i got the wings again, collard greens, and cornbread. My man got the catfish and fries… still amazed on the flavor, will be going atleast 2-3 times a week… and great service, i read a comment about a “bald male” (his words) being horrible and rude but you have to remember we are human and some dayss are bad, but id give him another chance cause he had been nothing but sweet to me and my husband, also the other worker with short dreads was sweet ( first time seeing him today) … still all delicious and F-king amazing … added photos of my new food

Unfortunately this isn’t a funnel cake. This is a waffle. It’s not even close in texture or taste. The “powdered” sugar is hard. Don’t recommend.

It's a decent spot. Turkey necks were very tender but to salty.

10 Stars!!! ⭐️ If I could suggest something I would say adding “waffle shaped funnel cakes” to inform buyers they’re receiving a funnel but in the shape of a waffle! The reason I say that is because upon reading the reviews several customers gave them a 1star bc they “assume” the funnel was a waffle. So, b/c of that review I almost didn’t order it! But rest assured it is in fact funnel cake batter!!! So Good!! Catfish amazing!! TURKEYNECK BOIL 100 STARS !!!!!! 10/10 highly recommend! Very nice lady at the counter 🩷

They just tried to play a dirty game on me. I ordered their buy 1 get one free special on DoorDash. Buy 8 get 8. I ordered 2 orders so 32 wings. My order got here and it was only 16. I went on the app and they took the promotion off. I will give it to them the wings are good. But you should not false advertise. Very bad for business. Do better!!!!!

I got the 2 piece catfish with okra, cotton candy daq & funnel cake with caramel on the side. I asked to fry my okra hard and I got exactly what I asked for. The fish was fried to perfection & the cotton candy daiquiri was FIRE! 🔥 excellent service. Definitely get the NO experience in Dallas.

Unfortunately received fried well seasoned slightly( pale pink in center) white fish, and instead if fried catfish very disappointing;old -(non golden brown)stale fries,. Also loud raunchy music environment. Customer service okay. Overall 4.5 out of 10

Absolutely delicious food and VERY generous portions. The turkey leg combo plate with corn sausage and potatoes were delicious. My husband had the catfish nuggets with red beans & rice and potato salad, that potato salad was so good and had a nice kick to it. One star removed only because I tasted ZERO alcohol in that 4/20 daiquiri, so it was like paying $8 for frozen sugar. I best order an extra shot next time. 😂

I was craving some fried seafood and I'm so glad I came across this place while browsing yelp. I ordered the catfish, jambalaya and shrimp plate. As well as the 1lb shrimp boil. Everything had FLAVOR! Whatever seasoning that was in the food was just spot on. Everything had a small kick to it. Wasn't able to finish the shrimp boil and was able to reheat it the next day and it reheated beautifully! Also had ordered a Daquiri as well and I couldn't even taste the alcohol but I definitely felt it haha

Was craving some Cajun food while visiting Dallas and saw that this place also had slushy alcoholic drinks. We ordered 2 medium daiquiris, Very Sexy and Head Banger, 1lb shrimp boil box, 2 piece catfish and 6 piece fried shrimp w/jambalaya, 2 hush puppies, 1 crab cake, and the Cajun fried corn. I ordered the fried okra but the lady helping me probably thought I said corn. It was my fault that I didn't double check my order that was on the screen but I was pleasantly surprised when I got home to try it. All of the food that we got was seasoned well and it had a ton of flavor. I like how the shrimp boil had ez peel shrimp and the seasoning penetrated everything in the bag. The fried shrimps were good but I would probably just order more fried catfish next time. The drink were sweet but not too sweet. I will be visiting this place again when I go back to Dallas.

This is my second choice, my first choice was Royal Daiquiri but unfortunately they've been EVICTED. I know it happens but I'll still travel 30 plus minutes away from home to always show my support to Black Owned businesses.

I was coming to this location to get a shrimp Po Boy, it's no longer on the menu. I'm not sure how to feel about this. So I decided to order something else. The Fried fish and Gumbo. Even though the piece of fish was huge, it still tastes like catfish and not Swai. The gumbo is not gumbo, idk what type of concoction they done made. This tasted more like a stew than Gumbo. Wasn't worth is at all. If I decide to try them again, it's only going to be for the Daquiris.

Omg there lemon cake was so freakin tasty! You can totally tell it's homemade and there funnel cake the girl working the counter took time to explain they place there batter in a waffle iron and then fry it which treats it as if it were a beignet. It was so delicious as well! Did not get a chance to try there daiquiris out but will totally be back they all sounded so good!

The best daiquiri ive had in dallas!! Most daiquiri places lack total flavor but not this joint!!! Coming from living in houston& visiting NOLA often i loveeeeeee this place. Keith the manager is the most helpful, sweet & knowledgeable man He makes my visits worth it. They dont miss with the food either! The catfish slaps.. the crab cakes are on point ugh i wish this place wasnt across the street from my new job cause they can have all my money! Its a hidden gem dont sleep on it

Customer service- 10/10- courteous -ensured order correct. Always smiling and friendly. Food: Turkey necks were 7/10 - should not be called cajun - Seasoned well / tender but not at all Cajun like expected from Louisiana. Shrimp- we're 10/10 tasted really good fried perfectly. Lemon pepper wings were 9/10 hubby liked, Buffalo wings 1/10 they were fried with breading that was soggy soggy.The look and taste were very off putting could not eat them, Peach cobbler was a solid 7/10 due to taste. Would probably be an 8-9/10 if fresh and not reheated. the greens were an utter disappointment (canned or frozen no sure). They were mushy Zero flavor and a tiny serving for 7.99 (could not eat them either). Red beans & Rice OK could definitely use meat, i know everyone does not eat pork but smoked Turkey necks would drastically improve the flavor, 5/10. Boudin balls 9/10 again slightly overly priced for serving size. The daiquiris were OK not much alcohol content but flavor was pretty good 7.5/10. Overall, after a few trips will go back, but as another reviewer stated probably for the daiquiris but I would also order the Turkey necks, and Boudin. I Want to try the funnel cakes but no Eat in option to Order and eat fresh after your meal so I'll have to try on a trip on that side of town when I'm craving sweets.

I love this place from the food to their drinks. The atmosphere is lovely and you can be in and out in no time depending on order and how much you order

I really enjoyed my lunch today. The fries are the crinkles...fried right for a crisp. The catfish was great! Lots of flavour. No sauce needed. Shrimp was really good. No complaints. I had to get a degree small with light Ever clear mix. Was perfectly blended considering it considering it was fast serve. Man behind the counter was friendly and welcoming. Yeah I'll be back

Keith the manager was so nice & helpful. The daiquiris are delicious & we were surprised to find out our daqs were BOGO free. Not sure if it was a special promotion or if it's all the time.

I can't speak on the food but i came here for Daquiri because driving to Camp Wisdom every time gets tiring! I can say I'm content and happy and will definitely come back! Their xLarge is $2 more than Daquiri 2 go but i saved time I got the headbanger....

The Daquiris go crazy but the crab cakes fish and chips is bussin I'm saying it was Good definitely a must have weekly Period with Lit customer Service Kevin the Bomb ya heard

Let's discuss how amazing our experience and food was with this establishment. My sisters and I ordered everything you can think of: drinks, wings, fresh catfish, and etc. The fries were even good after a couple of errands. The staff were so pleasant and accommodating. I would insert a picture, however we were grabbing bites in between stops. Thank you for the superb service.

I wanted to love this place when I saw its ad on Instagram. I love to support black owned businesses, but this one didn't meet my expectations. I love the two ladies who were taking orders and payments, and I also enjoyed the "Bob Marley" I took home. I ordered ten piece lemon pepper wings and added 1 price of fried catfish on the side to enjoy. I love my food crispy, but the fish was entirely too hard and had that fishy taste. The wings were very underwhelming and I actually only ate two of them. I'll definitely go back for drinks, but didn't really enjoy their food. 3 stars for the beverga

Love the one in Forney. This is not a easy place to find and it's in not so nice area move the location.

Amazing service and amazing food! The atmosphere reminds me of back home in Louisiana. The experience is authentic and I will definitely be back!

Food is good but daiquiris is giving sonic slushy. They were out of flavors for a while so I'm not sure what they did new but it definitely messed up the way the daiquiri use to taste. Service is always good.

If you want diabetes, this is your place. All drinks are so sugary and taste horrible

Came here for the first time earlier this week and I'm back again for another daiquiri. I had the large ass kicker & it did just that here today to get Fat Tuesday. The staff was awesome and I don't mind coming back a third time

I wanted to like this place. If you want boil food, this is not the place. The crab was nasty and shrimp was decent. Potatoes were over cooked and soggy. Corn was ok. Crab cakes were eh. Red brand and rice were good. They say 2 clusters of crab. I got 2 clusters with 3 legs on each. So, not a true cluster. Not worth the money.

Went to just try it! Never knew the owner was from the same town as me "New Orleans". Food was soooo good and the daiquiri "Ass Kicker" was the best and it definitely kicked my ass
