Mareeba Drive-In

Growing up on the Tablelands, the drive-in has always been one of our favourite weekend activities. It’s a nostalgic experience that never gets old, offering unbeatable value for money—where else can you watch two movies under the stars for less than the price of one at other cinemas? And when you’re craving a classic feed, the snack bar delivers. Whether it’s burgers, hot dogs, or fish and chips, you know it’s going to be freshly made, not sloppy, and hit the spot every time. These local gems are worth cherishing. We’re so lucky to have the Mareeba Drive-In, and I encourage all visitors to the Tablelands to experience it at least once. And to the locals—consider this your reminder to revisit!

I’ve been wanting to come here for a couple of weeks and finally I made it for the Deadpool double header. 😂. So funny! I got there early, 3.15pm as I had nothing else to do and there were still people in front of me. Good chatting though. I got a great spot in my van, tuned in and watched a couple of good movies, The Menu was interesting. I had a decent burger and chips, not expensive at all. Great to support such a popular small business 😁

It's just the best thing in Mareeba 👌 Hope it sticks around for as long as possible. Fish burgers were ok. Chop tops were yum! Staff are fantastic. Keep on supporting nostalgic venues like this! ⭐️

We really love the drive in - and so do our pups! The food is fresh and very reasonably priced and the price of the movie is good value for money. After forgetting our radio and not being able to find a working speaker, we thought it might be an idea if they had a few portable radios for hire? (We had no trouble hearing without it but may be an extra service to offer for forgetful people like us! We understand it's hard to replace the speakers)

An amazing experience! The price for two movies is really fair and the ambience is nice. Everyone is cozy in his car or on a blanket outside. The food tastes delicious and the prices are again totally fair! Definitely worth a visit!

What an awesome way to spend the weekend! Food from the Cafe was delicious and fresh! Cafe also had a great selection of candy as well as fresh popcorn!🍿 I hadn't intended on staying overnight but dozed of during the second movie and didn't wake up until 6:30am.. I have a small car so I was glad that I was able to park in the second row and not be blocked by larger cars, I was worried about that but people were very respectful of others!!! The venue is immaculately clean as well as feeling extremely safe, safe enough that I fell asleep in my car and wasn't worried at all! Will definitely be making regular visits to the drive in!! As well as sending others up to experience it!! Thankyou!!

Awesome drive in experience! Very reasonably priced, so support the business and get a feed while watching the movies. Loved that we could stay the night once the movies finished. A definite highlight of our trip.

Awesome venue. Friendly old school values and great affordable canteen. Also shows the latest movies at an unbeatable price and if you have a few drinks you can camp the night if you bring a swag, tent or in your own car/camper. And as they say " if you don't like the movie, you can slash the seats" 😎🇦🇺
