Mareiro Hotel

Underwhelming. Fine hotel with nice staff but many small things poorly done. Very noisy fan in room. No water available, gym small and stuffy, pool not open for morning laps, a/c unit keeps room cool but everything a little damp (this is the climate even in winter but all the more reason for dehumidifier), no iron in room, ok breakfast.

Hotel is clean, great location. The rooms are basic, we had a room w a balcony facing the water. The room is small but fine for two people. Free breakfast we will try in the morning. The pool is nice and a good size. Towels at front desk for beach and pool. Parking is also offered at the basement of the hotel.

Hotel in OK shape. Big rooms for families. Clean but a little worn out. Ongoing works above the restaurant. If you want to rest and look for a quiet place = go on, dont stay here. If you look for a place where you can go with your 4 kids, shout, cry, slam doors= welcome abord. Restaurant = avoid. Yesterday we waited for 1h until the food arrived. First the food and 15 min later the drinks. Very chaotic, too few waiters. They invited sole foreigners to stay and 1 h later they told them the kitchen is closed.....Even at the reception english, french and italian is not realy possible, but portugese works. I think it's a management problem. Most employes are friendly but overstressed and look very unhappy. The day before we leave they suggest to stay in the room until 18h ( +150R$) the day itself they ask if we could leave the room before 12....???? The elevator (one of two) didn't work all the time, repared today. An expérience not to be renewed.

I think the hotel is overrated. The location is obviously nice but the breakfast could be better for the number of stars. I think it could be upgraded. I had a beach front and they don’t even have chairs on the balconies! The pool is nice but it’s mostly shaded in the afternoon due to buildings around it.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever been in Fortaleza. Rooms are very old and dated, there’s paint spill all over the floor, from recent paint jobs. Expect to have a room facing a wall, 1M distance, almost no light, the hangers were so dirty that I refuse to hang my cloth in them. The rooms are noisy, expect to ear all the noises from outside and if there’s a communication door your neighbor will be your room, since you’ll ear everything that happens there. In the bath room with a light that looks from the psycho movie, blinking all the time, the shower glass wall as never been clean from the inside, and has years of showers accumulated making it opaque. There was a wall plug right behind my pillow in my bed. Overall it’s an hotel to avoid. Unless there’s no other chance in Beira-mar.

Very good hotel, a bit pricey but not to bad for what they offer. Very good location, great variety of food for breakfast, brilliant staff at the reception and porter. Apart from only one person who made my check out who wasn’t really happy to be there or didn’t like me was the let down but apart from that one person every other one was really nice and help full! Recommend place to stay at

This is our 5th stay in a year. Good hotel. Clean rooms. Good airconditioning and WiFi. The breakfast is very good and the staff is friendly
