Mareta View Boutique Bed & Breakfast

Pleasant enough place to stay although I think “ boutique hotel” is slightly aspirational. Room was a decent size and we had a balcony with a great view. Breakfast was buffet style and good. Coffee machine in the room but would have preferred the choice of a kettle for other drinks and real cups. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and fitting in the garden. Had access to a pool elsewhere but didn’t use this.

Excellent location for a small, quiet hotel with great views of the sea. Fantastic balcony and outdoor space with a jacuzzi, which we often used in the evening to enjoy the stars. Rooms were simple, clean and comfortable. The acoustic insulation of the doors wasn't good, but the fact that the hotel was generally quiet meant this didn't affect our sleep. The beach was fantastic and very close (Mareta Beach), as were the fort and lighthouse. There are loads of fantastic restaurants nearby (2-min walk radius), as well as other beaches (Tonel and Martinhal). Don’t forget to visit the dolphins and make sure to have some cash on you, as some shops don't accept card!

Streetfront Mareta Beach Boutique Bed & Breakfast (9 am open 3 pm-12 check-in/out) has an espresso cafe (8:30-7) and D’Italia Pizzeria attached. It also owns Mareta View which is far less modern and desirable—located behind the hotel on the main square—overlooking the Rocky beach. In a small town of less than 2,000, it’s the closest hotel between the shoreline down below and the Natura Surf shop (8:50 lesson pick-up), or to the Fort/church of Infante Dom Henrique further on. The cafe has free wifi and is a relaxed setting with healthy and sweet food options all day. The restaurant dining duo and hotel establishment basically occupies Praca da Republica; the vendors along the square make it quaint. The hotel is pleasant but not high on security. It is convenient for tourists; but if you’re a serious surfer, you might contact International Surf School and Stay in a more remote road or part entering into the tiny town. You’ll meet friendly folks; and with only 5 trees on the horizon, it’s pretty hard not to be seen and surf!

The 'B & B' was excellent. I wouldn't call it a typical B&B, just a small hotel with breakfast included..... Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is great. View from the room was excellent. Just a little difficult to find, as it is tucked behind other businesses.

Would not recommend :( Room 217 bathroom had the worst smell of drain. And the room was FREEZING. Took 3 hours to warm up. Toilet paper so thin, just disintegrated. We used 3 rolls in 2 days. Damp and humid in room. Only vegan options at breakfast were fruit and soya milk. No parking close to hotel to move luggage. Have to drag bags from the parking lot down the road and across the street.

It is right by the seaside and next to all the essential shops and restaurants. It is very clean and the rooms are cozy but quite small. The breakfast is very tasty.

What a lovely place to stay! We had a great time at this cute B&B. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a beautiful room with a balcony facing the sea. Breakfast was plentiful with a nice selection of bread, pastries, yogurt, fruit, cereal, cheese, meat, boiled eggs, juice, coffee and tea. The property is very clean and the garden is lush and gorgeous with seating facing the sea. We parked on the street in front of the property. I highly recommend this place as a base to explore Sagres.

This is a very nice hotel, with some lovely amenities. In particular, if you can get a room with a balcony facing the ocean, you have beautiful views of the bay. There’s also a hot tub on site. The lobby is nice and very comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet, and was good, though not great.||Unfortunately, there is no elevator, and if you have heavy luggage getting up to the second floor can be a real problem, particularly since there were no staff members able to help. They share amenities with a hotel, and although there is a nice pool there, it is about a 10 minute walk away from the hotel . On the other hand, they do give you coupons for two free glasses of wine if you can make it to the pool.
