Walked in off the street because it looked good. The server was very friendly and helpful and we were more than satisfied. Thank you!

Restaurant specialties are seafood from Campeche region Delicious cooked to perfection. Black smoked octopus was excellent alongside all our dishes. Margherita’s were moorish and Mexican wine delicious

Google
A very very nice restaurant with very nice food. A very good ambience and service, but the reason we came back was the food and the overall feel of the place. Cosy, private (inside) with tastefull decor. It was not Michelin, but really nice tasteful and good food for a good price. Price/quality ratio was good. Good vegetarian dishes also and good non-alcoholic cocktails for the kids.

We've eaten at Marganzo a few times over the years and it's always been good. On this visit everything really fell into place and we had a fantastic meal. I had a really good margarita and some nice cream of chaya soup. For our entrees, my wife ordered the Tiken-Xik, which is a grilled marinated fish filet, and I had the Filete Marganzo, a filet stuffed with shrimp and bacon. Both were truly excellent entrees. We actually had a little room for dessert and shared a piece of cheesecake. The cheesecake was served with guava syrup and grated edam cheese, which might sound odd, but it was super good. Throughout our visit Karina provided us with excellent service. Overall, a wonderful restaurant experience for us.

We enjoyed their traditional, regional specialties. The fish of the day was especially wonderful. And the coco shrimps was amazing!

Google
Great food and atmosphere, enjoyed a mayan culinary experience with mezcal, jaiba, pulpo and an amazing twist on the classic cheesecake.

Google
Sorry but the quality it’s pretty bad. We’ve been one week in Campeche and this had been our worse food experience of the city. We order the chicken marganzo, cheese quesadilla with Chaya and lime soup… Nothing was fresh, everything oily and over priced. The brother restaurant “la parroquia” has better quality food and experience for lower prices… Certainly will not come back

Yelp
Sadly, we were quite disappointed in this restaurant. I don't really like leaving poor reviews, and I wish I had heeded the advice of a previous reviewer here who mentioned this restaurant only caters to tourists. I suppose they figure you might not be back so they don't need to be attentive to guests. The wait staff was flat and only smiled after we left a nice tip regardless of their service or lack thereof. Food was cold (not sure whose fault that was) and lacked quality flavor. Our margaritas were served in a martini glass, so on the small side. We really wanted like and give this place a chance despite the reviews. It's a cute place but the ambiance was overshadowed by the food and service quality. Won't be back.

Yelp
We visited about a month ago and had a lovely dinner here. We each ordered a first from the sopa section of the menu I believe sopa de lima and a seafood rice. Then for main we ordered a pan de cazon (which came with a dramatic presentation) and tacos. The staff was nice and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Visited Campeche for the day, we were a group of 8. Everyone was beyond pleased with their selections. Drinks were excellent as was the customer service.

Yelp
Let me say the food and drinks were good here and our waiter until we were scammed. The shrimp and octopus ceviche they serve as a free appetizer was good. The margarita was good. We told our waiter we are looking for an appetizer with cheese, shrimp, and octopus. He told us they have it on the menu and pointed it out. My wife who is fluent in Spanish told him this was a pork and he said same price. The appetizer was good. Had a lot of octopus with little shrimp. We asked for the check and the dish was 430 pesos rather than menu price of 230. He said 430 because of shrimp and octopus rather than pork which contradicted what he told us earlier. My wife and he got in a discussion that he should of told us that it would be more and let us make the decision to order or not. I don't give many one star reviews but don't lie to me. Not a dumb gringo. We live here in Mexico.

Yelp
This was a good restaurant to try authentic food typical of Campeche. Nothing fancy but it is definitely a must try while in Campeche.

Yelp
I honestly don't know why people are leaving this place bad reviews, it really is a good place to eat. I mean if you're complaining about the prices then it's cause you haven't considered that seafood will ALWAYS be more expensive than chicken and pork. And if the waiters are asking for money, it's not cause they want to scam you out if your money, but rather that it's customary in Mexico to tip your waiters. ( Tipping is not always included in the bill ), so please calm down. Besides I wouldn't consider this a tourist trap, as a Mexican I can say that this place has the real local flavor. I truly believe this place deserves a good review. The service was fenomenal, and I believe that people treat you how you treat them, it's only logical that if you get picky then your waiter won't serve you with all the happiness in the world. They serves really good portions, and I can say that the prices were great . I ordered a crema de chaya and pollo Marganzo, and for my first time eating these particular dishes, it was great. Very good drink by the way.

Yelp
Had the crab ravioli , it was good but needed a bit more flavor and the portion was smaller than expected. Prices are decent and service was good.

Yelp
Really enjoyed Marganzo. The food was delicious and the staff leave you waiting for nothing... always bringing something new to the table. Fresh and friendly fine dining.

Yelp
Had wonderful service and amazing food everyone was happy with the great taste and quality. As a vegetarian they were able to accomodate quite well and some at the table had lima soup, coconut shrimp and ceviche. The ceviche is a bit on the "limey" side so just something to think about. Would recommend.

Yelp
Not my favourite restaurant! Not worth the value you paid for. Foods is ordinary nothing spectacular! My wife and I ordered fish for dinner, she ordered a small and I ordered a normal size serving. But both of them about the same size!

Yelp
There were no bus tours here when we came!! It is a nice restaurant in a good location near the main strip of bars and restaurants in Campeche Centro Historico. It is spacious and has lots of tables, is simply decorated and has good air con. The menu has a big range of food much of which is said to be regional or house specialties. The obligatory bowl of bread and nachos were accompanied with alioli and a pepper sauce. Pulpo tostada and beetroot with goats cheese starters were really tasty. The fish in a garlic and wine sauce with rice and vegetables were a great main course as was the pork stew. Postres were coconut pie and coconut rice pudding. The prices were very good and the meal offered great value for money. Definitely worth a visit

Yelp
I read about this place in my Lonely Planet guide, it usually has good recommendations for restaurants. I try to play it safe since last time we came my daughter got food poisoning. I disagree with other tourists calling this place a tourist trap. We came in for breakfast and it was filled with locals too. The food was good, not fantastic but good. We tried the "desayuno tipico" the omelette and the chilaquiles. The chilaquiles were by far the best dish. They were tasty, not spicy so not 100 percent authentic but good nonetheless. The service was sub par our waitress was efficient but short and inpatient.

Yelp
Nice staff. We were given garlic cream and tortilla chips as an appetizer. Unlike other restaurants in mexico, our food came quickly. We ate delicious regional cochinita pibil and pan de cozon, topped off with a coconut pie and a tamarindo drink on the house. Two lovely local musicians also serenaded us while we ate. Would eat there again!

Yelp
I'm baffled that others were underwhelmed with their experience here, because ours was superb. My husband and I came for dinner (after reading overwhelmingly positive reviews on TripAdvisor) and enjoyed an excellent meal and friendly, attentive service. We had the mixed seafood cocktail and Ceviche Verde (with a very unique and delicious dill-infused citrus base) as appetizers, and the large house salad and Filete de Pescado Mojo de Ajo (a flavorful wine and garlic sauce) for entrees. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Really enjoyed dining here! Delicious seafood, drinks, and dessert. This restaurant was recommended to us by several people. My husband especially enjoyed the octopus dish with sauce.

Yelp
Avoid this tourist trap. Food is underwhelming, service is so-so. They put utensils on a table without any napkin and barely clean a table after customers. Also, there are guys with guitars who play so loud that I had to yell to be heard. And, without any doubt, they insistently ask for money.

Yelp
Very bad expérience in this restaurant. Food was below average, no refinment in the plates.looks more like a canteen than a restaurant. Avoid it.

Yelp
The restaurant is mainly used by bus groups so sometimes the atmosphere could be really noisy. The food is ok: we had the big seafood plate. I was expecting more quality since Campeche is just on the golf. Service pretty friendly.

Yelp
We went there with a group of 6 and everybody was disappointed of the quality of food. Service unfriendly. Tourist trap.

Yelp
Best restaurant in Campeche food on point and awesome service, wouldn't waste my time looking elsewhere

Yelp
We actually didn't check reviews on Marganzo before dining, but we were not disappointed. We each had fish dishes, one broiled and the other Mayan style( in a banana leaf) and both were wonderful. But perhaps the highlight of the meal was the salad that featured hard boiled eggs, roasted pumpkin seeds, beets, jicama, squash blossoms.... amazing. At the end of the meal we were treated with tamarind margaritas. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Service was professional.

Yelp
My wife and I had a great experience there tonight. This is our third time vacationing in campeche and we have tried many of the local restaurants. We got service as soon as we went in, with some chips and bread to snack on until we were served. There was a lady cleaning the floors there for the entire Time we were in the restaurant. Prices are great, the food is good, the service is good as well. We were also given complementary margaritas! On a sidenote both my wife and I can't understand why somebody would think that this is a tourist trap
