This is a pleasant hostel with dormitories and private cabin accommodation. I stayed in the latter, which was comfortable and clean with en suite and patio outside the cabin. I had to get a neighbour's help to remove a large Huntsman spider from the wall, but I do not blame the management for this! There is a nice pool and a communal lounge area and kitchen. Wifi can only be accessed in the reception/lounge area. It's not too far from the town and is a perfectly good place to stay if you are on a budget.

This was by far the best backpackers I have stayed in throughout Australia, I have stayed at many hostels travelling around Australia and it was by far the best. The staff are super friendly and everyone in there is amazing! Rooms were clean and tidy. The lounge and kitchen area was always clean and welcoming. I stayed for 3 nights, Would definitely recommend!

After reading the previous reviews and staying at Dunsborough Beach Lodge I was a bit nervous to stay here. After staying here I don't agree with the reviews. Ben was nice and welcoming and was happy to give us sheets for the beds. The bathrooms were average for a hostel bathroom but our room was clean and had a heater inside for warmth. The wifi worked great in the kitchen and all the essentials were provided. Its not the best hostel I've ever stayed in but for the location and what you get the price is right. I would stay here again if I was back in the Margaret river region

Booked for 6 days double room in the separated building.||On arrival unpleasant dispute with a receptionist regarding photocopying my driving licence.||There is NO WiFi in that separated building, if you need it - walk 50 m to the main compound.||Enclosed public place next to the kitchenette is turned into a smoking area, contrary to the legislation.||There is one male, one female shower, same with toilets (in the building designed for over 20 ppl.||Water pressure is low and taps require long and gentle adjustment to get the right temperature.||Windows have no real locks, insects screens can be removed easily. There was a heater, but not a fan. It is OK when cold, but it would be a nightmare in hot summer days. If you open the window, raise blinds, there is no privacy and it is unsafe. Beds are of average comfort, pillows too small. You get fresh towel each day, but not toiletries. BYO. Large fridge plus a marker and tags - OK. Only two burners (gas) and a microwave oven. Could be busy at times. I had no complaints re cleanliness, but the place looks very run down. TV set in the common area - OK. Be careful where you're parking your car (not under a tree). A lot of green lawns, relatively quiet away from the center (approx. 10 min walk). The separated bldg is relativelly quiet, but the walls are paper thin, so it all depends on your neighbors It may be the cheapest option, good for backpackers, but for couples or families I recommend . something more expensive and more civilised.||Places worth your attention - Wood Fired Bakery (1.5 km away) early afternoon, when they have fresh hot bread or rolls; Settlers Tawern for a dinner, beer and music. Brewhouse Margaret River for 8 or so different beers and nice food plus people. Good for families, nice playground for kids.||Separate area for smokers.

First impression: Nice staff, comfy beds, decent shower. The double bed rooms are further away from the busy part of the hostel, seperate kitchen in this part of the building. Price is a bit high for the standard, but hey we've only spent our first night here so actually I can't tell what else is here to find.

Everything was really good. If you call ahead of time you can arrange for pickup at the bus stop when you get to Margaret River. The rooms were clean. They all the things you need in the kitchen, standard hostel stuff. I guess the only down side was that you need to be at certain hot spot to use the WiFi. That was not the deal breaker for me so I didn't really care but I thought for some of you it could be important.

Enjoyed our time here. Jools on reception was great and let us borrow bikes for free to try the nearest wineries. Decent accommodation with parking, good kitchen and clean toilet/shower blocks. Bit of a walk to the town but would have been happy to stay longer.

The accommodation was as expected, basic, slightly dirty in places but comfortable enough with a nice location.||The main negative about our stay is that the kitchen seems to have an issue with stealing, as evident by all of the aggressive signs placed on the windows. However, the only thieving we experienced was when we actually caught a staff member drunkenly eating our cheese out of the fridge, when she had previously been running through the site screaming at 1am.||Wouldn’t advise against staying there but probably wouldn’t return ourselves.||||

Yelp
This was my first experience in a hostel so I didn't really know what to expect. I can honestly say that I was not disappointed but I was by no means wow'd either. My friend and I shared a room with 6 other people, we had requested an all girls room but there was one guy in there with us. I felt both the room and bathroom were a bit dirty but considering the price we paid we weren't upset about it. The lovely young lady, Annie, working the front desk was very nice and always extremely helpful. I also loved being able to meet all kinds of new people in the kitchen/common area. We did stay up and may have been a bit rambunctious pretty late into the night but again that is something I would expect for the cheap price you pay and staying in a hostel, it actually felt more like camping than staying in a room somewhere. There was even supposed to be free wifi available but I was never actually able to connect. If you are looking for a nice, clean and quiet room I would recommend paying the monetary price for one.
