Margarita's Cocina Mexicana, Davenport

It was awesome! When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by the owner, Joe and he pretended he only spoke Spanish for the first 10 minutes. Super funny guy and absolute delight. Here are some photos of our meal. It was incredibly delicious!

WOW !! This is seriously some of the best Mexican food we’ve ever had. The menu takes traditional items to the next level. We couldn’t decide between the many amazing looking dishes, but the server helped with some recommendations that were 🔥🔥🔥. We got the Birria tacos 🌮 and the chicken Enchiladas. Both were simply amazing. The birria was so tender and bursting with flavor. This has been added to our favorites list and we’re already planning to come back.

Kat was wonderful and catered to our every want! The food was delicious! The cheese dip was not what I was used to personally, but the rest of my party liked it! Kat and her service were above what I am used to and when in town we would definitely come back!

This restaurant will be my one and only true love for Mexican food. Wow just wow. Incredible experience, atmosphere, food +++, topping it all off with 11 star customer service. Our host was so phenomenal I wished I got her name so I could give her a shout out here.

I've been several times now and have consistently received great service. The food is good. The lunch menu prices make it very affordable. The quieter atmosphere has made it one of my go-to places for meetings.

People who work here are nice and funny- made me something that wasn't on the menu! :) The food, however, was less than good.. very dry, little to no seasoning. Good presentation. Maybe this is just a Florida thing- I'm just a visitor.

I so wanted to give five stars because the food is excellent, but the service was so slow. We came for lunch based on the reviews and it was our first visit. We were the only table for the first 30 minutes and then a few others came in; it should be noted that two tables and two people at the bar came and went before we left. Just getting drinks was a 20 minute process in which the appetizers showed up before drinks. I can say the food is fresh and they use high quality ingredients. The main dishes are well priced. The appetizers pricing was off for the portion sizes. Otherwise, I would love to eat there again. I just don’t think I can justify the wait time for no reason. Our waitress seemed to go on continual side quests and had little understanding of how often to check on a table. We did like the food and atmosphere and would recommend trying but maybe get it to go.

An absolutely outstanding dining experience at Margarita's Cocina!! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Kat, our server created an atmosphere that felt both energetic and comfortable, making the entire evening enjoyable from start to finish. The food was exceptional. Every dish was amazing, full of flavor, and clearly made with home style recipes. What truly sets Margarita's Cocina apart is the combination of authentic flavors, great ambiance, and attentive service, from the owner coming over spending time with us, to Kat's electric personality!!!!. It’s the kind of place where you immediately start planning your next visit before the meal is even over. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great Mexican cuisine, excellent drinks, and an overall memorable dining experience.
