We had such a great experience thanks to Kamal and at the valet parking of Margaritaville Hotel. He gave us the warmest welcome, was efficient and professional, all while sharing his cheerful attitude. Truly the best! Thank you, Kamal.

Google
It's being remodel right now so if you stay you might hear some construction noises but other than that it's cool here's a picture of the 4th floor pool/bar area that's being renovated.

Google
Not good. AVOID. Expensive hotel for subpar service. Can't find paid reservation, room entry without knocking, valet deliberately declines qr code pickup, constant construction noise (6 AM on a Saturday??) Fresh paint but broken fixtures lol. Close it down guys, re-open if you can figure it out, borderline reminds me of Fyre festival documentary. Much better places to spend ur 400+ for a night.

Unique opportunity for a great time

Yelp
I went and grabbed a few drinks here and appetizers. Everything was great! Especially the service! Mary and Luke helped our group out and made us feel so welcomed. Two very good looking individuals as well if I may add. I hope to see both of them again!!

Yelp
Made reservations at this hotel super last minute. On arrival, I noticed that they don't have self parking. Valet only which is $60 per day. The lobby was well maintained. There is a cafe and a bar both which are separated. The rooms were clean and well kept. I honestly thought the hotel was new. The hotel IS pet friendly so I had to travel with my pet. $150 one time fee for the entire stay. Service was good. Everyone polite. There is no assigned relief area for your pet so you have to walk out in the street. The streets were pretty dirty so I highly recommend booties for your dog. I got a bandana for free for my pet and you can request food bowls for your pet upon request ( not for free). Overall, loved the ambiance, loved how clean it was. However, I did not get a chance to go to their rooftop. This will have to make for another trip.

Yelp
Note: Booked through Amex Platinum Travel and received $100 resort credit & update to a suite which made for a better experience. It was convenient to use the credit for my toddler's breakfast, my coffees and a few happy hour drinks! Room: Suite had a door which separated the living room from the bedroom which was much needed so my toddler & baby could sleep separately. -sound machine & chargers in the rooms were very helpful. Property: We loved how dog-friendly it was! We went to the pool bar for happy hour with our toddler which was convenient. She had a blast people watching everyone in the pool. Parking: No comment - did not valet. Recommend parking at 6th & K parking structure to save money. We were sad to see Kimpton Solamar get replaced by Margaritaville but will be back with our fur baby and kids again soon!

Yelp
Was excited to stay at Margaritaville until we got into our room! Instant smell of cigarettes like someone had just smoked a pack in there. The restroom was the worst part, the smell stayed in there all weekend, and dirty sink and shower. However, staff was very kind and lobby is super cute. The location was very convenient to attend a padres game and go to the bars after! With the price we payed we were just hoping for a cleaner experience!

Yelp
My little brother was down so our family decided to go to San Diego for the week and we had a great time at the Margaritaville Hotel in downtown San Diego. It has a nice ambiance, great central location, and great food spots all around. They did a good job with the Christmas theme for the holidays as well, very heavy on the beach theme, but I know it's probably geared towards tourists from outside of SoCal, so that makes sense. I definitely recommend this to anybody looking for a decent place to stay while vacationing in San Diego :)

Yelp
This place is so cute, and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and charming, and the drinks by the pool were great. The only letdown was the poolside salsa and guacamole--they were surprisingly flavorless, but everything else made for a lovely visit.
google avatar

Yelp
We visited the Margaritaville Hotel and it was the perfect location to walk to Petco Park for a baseball game! The valet parking was comparable to other places in the area and so much more convenient than trying to get out of a packed parking garage after the game. The artwork in the lobby made for some fun photo ops and gave the place an extra special touch. We appreciated the lemon flavored water in the lobby and the clean bathrooms. Checkout the Landshark Adirondack chair outside and the giant sandal in the lobby--nothing says "vacation mode" like a giant sandal and margarita glasses.

Yelp
My wife and I love overnight staycation spots living in San Diego and we had a great experience at Margaritaville. I'm not sure we've stayed anywhere that paid such close attention to detail when it comes to their overall theme. Everything stayed true to the heart of the vibe that was Jimmy Buffet. From the moment you walk in the lobby you're immediately in Jimmy's world. It continued from the hallways to our room. I was genuinely impressed by their detail intentionality. I wasn't a "Parrot Head" but I'm guessing they would be proud of this spot. The only thing that would have made this theme better would be if it was on a beach instead of the middle of downtown San Diego. My wife and I would have probably taken an Uber to the hotel if we knew the parking was $67 (or close to that) but that was really the only negative. That said, it was good to know your car was safe and secure in downtown. I love downtown SD but gotta be honest about it. We had a good experience and would come back for sure. We didn't get anytime in the pool area but from our window it looked like a great spot.

Yelp
My family & I spent 2 days here for the 1st in San Diego celebrating a much needed family & wedding anniversary trip. The hotel is located downtown San Diego which is called the Gaslamp district which have lots of restaurants, entertainment & much in the area depending on what you're looking for. The hotel is next to another hotel so just make sure you look for the sign to pull into the correct driver way of the hotel. The hotel charges $65 for valet parking which is extremely expensive but due to convenience & distance of other parking areas we paid for the parking. The valet is friendly & quick. We were able to unload our luggage & bags. The valet brought us a cart for easier transport since we had a nice amount of luggage. Once you enter; you will see all the nice decor of beach items, hats, sandals, birds, lots of seating area in the lobby, complementary water stands, the hotel as a restaurant called LandShark bar & grill (offer happy hour specials on select drinks & appetizers from 3-6p, coffee shop and up on the fourth floor is a full bar called 5 o'clock somewhere, which is all connected to Margaritaville for their famous drinks. Check in is @ 4p & check out is 11am but can check out an hour later complementary just have to let them know ahead of time to check out at noon. You will have to pay for early check-in, which and due to the hotel I believe it's $35 more. Also I was unaware of the daily resort fee which was $40 a day; for us this hotel did not have a feel as an resort & could have included food if that's the case due to the price. The price of the hotel, resort fee & parking makes your stay even more expensive than expected. Due to the area & being in San Diego we believe the hotels are overcharging honestly. Other hotels we stayed before automatically give their guests complimentary check in early if available no charge, waters, coffee, and other amenities without charging Resort fees. We were hoping our room would be available early since we pulled up @ 2p to precheck in & was advised will receive a text when available & had to wait a few hours. We noticed a lot of other people checking in after us & getting their rooms right away before us. We had a normal standard room 2 queen beds not a suite. After waiting until almost 4p; we went to the counter to speak to someone & was told housekeeping was taking longer than expected & putting a rush which was @ 3:40p. We were a little annoyed because check in is @ 4p & our room was still not ready. We would have thought the front desk associate would have sent a message to housekeeping informing the guest was here early & to try get their room ready asap but that did not happen & still had to wait until 4p. After we were finally able to get access to room, we stayed on the 7th floor which they have 10 floors in the hotel. Our room was nice w/ our 2 queen beds, tv, small fridge, desk, chairs, closet, safe, bathroom w/ shower w/ 1 sink, sliding door to the bathroom but no microwave in the room, floor & or lobby. Due to expense & needing to warm up food; guests need access to a microwave to warm up their food. This hotel should put at least 4 microwaves in the lobby section for guest use & or at least 1 microwave on 3-4 floors & 2 microwaves in the lobby for convenience. Since the hotel is green; you can request your bedding to be changed daily if you want otherwise housekeeping is available every 3 days. You can also request for extra towels if needed & someone will bring them to your room. We went down to lobby to let front desk know we needed an additional 4 sets of towels but when someone came up to our room we're only brought 2 sets. Overall our stay was good just wish the resort fees was not added & for the parking to be more affordable for guest staying at their hotel. A few tips: you can book your stay through other 3rd party websites but if you want to take advantage of other perks such as discounts on parking, food, drinks, rewards & more you have to book directly through their website which is more expensive. We received a better deal on another website & eventhough we were guests staying at Margaritaville we could be take advantage of their deals w/o booking directly on their website which was disappointing. All specials should be available to all guests no matter what website it's booked through. We even tried to see if the front desk & or customer service would offer the deals to us as a courtesy by request & was denied unfortunately.

Yelp
The key to this hotel is the quality and the comfort of the room itself. Yes, check-in time is 4 PM and I waited several hours for my room to be ready, but it was worthwhile. I really enjoyed the fact that the mattress was exceptionally comfortable, the room was immaculately clean, and the lights were mercifully dimmable, and cozy. The central location offered so many options for dining and enjoying the bayfront area. I did check out the "5 o'clock Somewhere" rooftop bar, but it wasn't my vibe, but then again it was chilly and cloudy when I was there. NGL, when my conference day was over, I enjoyed the margaritas at the Fins Up bar and, in the morning, the coffee shop downstairs. Also: Don't waste your money on an Uber: Walk the easy 13 minutes to the city bus stop to get to the airport and pay $2.50 instead of $20/$30 on an Uber. Also: staff are friendly and generous.

Yelp
I enjoyed happy hour at their rooftop bar, ate dinner at the restaurant located in the hotel, and stayed a night at the hotel. Everything was nice and clean. All the employees were very nice and helpful. The hotel is walking distance from lots of bars.
google avatar

Ernest K.

Yelp
We were there for a medical conference, and the hotel does have decent facilities for a small conference. It does not, however, have a proper business center. The rooms were very well kept with appropriately quirky furnishings.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Didn't even make it in to the hotel. We did not want to get out of our car. The homeless population is a huge problem as of right now. We saw multiple streets lined with tents. But most disturbing people lying on the sidewalks clearly high from whatever they just injected. People just wondering into the streets not paying attention to cars- they were clearly high. I'm from Portland Oregon so the homeless and drug problem is not new to me and this was bad! I would give it zero stars actually because of location and safety. Were were unable to get our money back which is disappointing because we just didn't feel safe
google avatar

Chanel Y.

Yelp
Staff was extremely hospitable. The room was clean, the views were great! All around-a good time! Perfect if you're a tourist looking to go to Petco Park, as it's in walking distance. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, too!
google avatar

Yelp
I have only good things to say about our stay here. Checked in late evening and we could park our car near valet for 15 minutes giving us time to check in at reception and also put luggage in our room. Valet was friendly. As you enter the hotel lobby, you get a sense of that Cali-Baja tropical vibe. Decor is very trendy. Common area is beautiful with lots of different seating options. There is also a fireplace in the common area. Room is standard, but also has the same relax theme. The artwork around in the hotel is beautiful. Our stay did not include breakfast, so cannot comment on food. But the location of the hotel is surrounded by great eateries in walking distance. Homeless people near the hotel is a problem still.

Yelp
I had a great time staying at the Margaritaville! The hotel lobby was gorgeous and spacious. I loved the tropical and nautical themes!! Hotel rooms and hallways were super clean. Appreciated how many lights were in the room. They had all the things I needed in the room. Lobby staff were polite but a little cold. However the valet people are super nice and always opened the door for me! The hotel has conference rooms, a pool that I wasn't able to use but looked amazing, and a fitness center amongst other amenities. It's also connected to a restaurant/bar and a small coffee shop.
google avatar

Aundrea Z.

Yelp
Our stay went amazing. This hotel is in the perfect location if you want to be surrounded by the nightlife one street over, amazing food, and the Petco stadium a few blocks down. Rooms were very clean and beach theme! The only thing to be aware of is the resort fee that is charge AFTER your stay. This is not included online when booking ($89). Still I would highly recommend staying here!

Yelp
Well, it sounded great at first. The hotel is nice and I booked though Costco which waived the $40 a night resort fee and included a rental car. There is nothing "complimentary." Through Costco I was able to get 2 free margaritas and 2 coffee's with a danish of some sort. The first morning I went to get my coffee and I was not into the danish they had so I asked if I could exchange that for a banana. Nope. A banana (1) costs $7. The pool was small with not a whole lot of shaded areas to enjoy your beverage. But, it the hotel itself is in an amazing location. 1 block to the west of PetCo park which was so convenient. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of Buffett music played in the lobby area. I don't know if I would stay there again, but it was not horrible. If Costco didn't include a car rental, I probably would have chose a different hotel.

Yelp
Went here for the last day of our honeymoon. The decor is true to form but....this place is smaller than most. I'm comparing it to my stay at the one in Times Square. First off no Margaritaville restaurant. That's been replaced by a Margaritaville coffee shop & gift store. The land shark bar & Grill is the main restaurant. Conveniently located at street level in the Gaslamp district if you're headed to a Padres game. The other bar is 5 O'clock Somewhere on the rooftop with the pool. We never made it. The room was smallish, the bathroom still had an old fashioned tub shower, no Margaritaville coffee , but the rest of the decor was mostly on point. We had a good time and slept was. A much better choice noise wise than the Hard Rock Hotel. The best part was the staff that went out of their way, they were very attentive and took good care of us. Really seemed like they wanted us to have a good experience.

Yelp
We had won a weekend at this hotel from an auction for Give Kids the World Village and decided to use it for the past few days. It was a great decision because the hotel is in a great location in the Gaslamp district of San Diego. After we landed at the airport we checked into the hotel and walked over to the baseball stadium for an afternoon game. We also had a view of the stadium from our 10th floor room. The hotel is decorated with the standard Margaritaville theming, which is always fun and cheerful. The lobby was very spacious with plenty of seating options. They also have a great pool and bar on the 4th floor rooftop with great colors and theming. The room was also fun and colorful, although the bathroom was on the small side. There are numerous restaurants and shops within walking distance of the hotel, which was a great perk.

Yelp
Gorgeous rooms, great bathrooms, fun place, friendly staff all added up to a place I wish I could stay at longer

Yelp
I would give 100 stars if I could. The staff working here are all fabulous. From the valet, front desk, sales to banquet, they were all so hospitable and are there to assist. I stayed here because my company was holding an event and our event was successful thanks to the staff that had no problem accomodating every request we had, when the very last minute ones. As for their sleeping room, it was spacious, beds were comfortable. Water pressure couls be better but it wasn't bothersome. The hotel is conveniently located near lots of good restaurants, convention center, Patco Park etc.... yet still very quiet at night. I couldn't have asked for a better venue.

Yelp
We've stayed here when it was previously Hotel Solamar, so we were fairly excited when they decided to rebrand as part of the Margaritaville chain a couple of years ago. The hotel does have more of a tropical theme now. The upstairs pool and bar are fairly much the same, but the lobby and restaurant downstairs have been completely remodeled. The rooms are still great, we got the corner suite and had a great view of the city with a large jacuzzi tub. I'd still recommend bypassing the valet parking, which was $65 a night, and parking a block away at 6th & K. Our overnight was only $18 bucks. Overall, a great place to stay while in Gaslamp.

Yelp
So, the reservation that I made year ago that no one at Margaritaville Hotel San Diego could find (see my original review if you want details) was somehow found. I received an email four days before check-in was to happen. Confused, I called to verify. Confirmed. Although it was an ADA room, it was still at the original price from my original booking. I called our Plan B hotel and cancelled. So it was off to Margaritaville. The lobby area is as aesthetically pleasing as any hotel we've been in. It exudes the beachy island, laid back, chill vibe that Jimmy Buffett spent a career and lifetime promoting. From the chandelier made of fishbowl margarita glasses to the wall of hats, to the welcoming fireplace, Jimmy Buffett (and his brand) are everywhere. Especially the larger-than-life flip-flop next to an equally large "pop-top". Hotel amenities included a fitness center, heated outdoor pool on the 4th floor rooftop at the 5'Oclock Somewhere Bar. Ground floor held the Landshark Bar and Grill and a coffee shop/gift shop. Free WiFi was offered as well. We did not appreciate the $30 per night "resort fee". My wife Becky works at a building not far away. We enjoy free parking in her spot there. Margaritaville has valet only for $60 per night. Ouch! We checked in and were given our key cards to room 719. The room was nice. Not super nice, but nice. Hardwood floors rather than carpet was a plus. The king size bed was comfy. Everything was spotlessly clean. The powered window shade was a cool novelty. It was an ADA room so it had a large sliding barn door style bathroom door. The tub/shower had handles everywhere. The dual, upper and lower shower heads were a dream! I'm not a fan of the refillable shampoo/conditioner/shower gel dispenser mounted to the shower wall. I get it that it is more cost effective than the little personal bottles, I just think the refillables are not tamper-proof. Not that anyone would, but still... Also do they really refill them with the fancy name brand stuff that's on the label, or is that Dollar Tree shampoo? The room was well appointed. Jimmy Buffett decor, a comfy chair and small table. A nightstand on either side of the bed. Decent size TV (not many channel options), desk, etc. In-room coffee and a mini fridge. Although the fridge did not get very cold. Outside noise was a minimum, but we could hear every peep from the hallway. The downtown location is superb. We stayed Wednesday and Thursday nights for the Padres home opener. It was great being just a couple of blocks from Petco Park. Overall, a nice hotel. We wouldn't go out of our way to stay again, but if the price is right, we certainly would.

Yelp
I have stayed at the Margaritaville in Medford, Oregon, and absolutely love the product. Just spent three nights at Margaritaville in San Diego. It was more than double the price per night plus parking plus resort fees. When I went to go use the pool area on Sunday I was informed that it was closed for the day for a private party! That should never ever happen at a resort. You can have a private party there, but the PUBLIC should still be able to utilize the facilities. It was also closed half the day yesterday, but we were leaving town by then. I would never stay at this property again.

Mary J.

Yelp
I had the best experience here ever and the bartender at 5oclock somewhere, Luke was so great and so helpful. Amazing margs!!

Yelp
Excellent hotel that made our stay in San Diego very enjoyable. The location is perfect. The hotel is situated by the Gaslamp Quarters. The hotel is very close to a lot of restaurants nearby where we simply walked to eat out. Loved the decor around the hotel. The theme of a beach resort was prevalent. All the artwork inside the hotel was very appealing. Every staff member we have encountered were very friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed to enjoy their job and our company in the hotel. The valet parking was very efficient, always making sure our rental car was in good shape after every use. The housekeeping staff made sure our room was tidy and beds were made along with keeping our towels well stocked. Loved the fact that we were given a voucher for free coffee and pastries for every day we stayed. Overall, best hotel experience I have been a part of. Definitely will recommend this place.
google avatar

Kal K.

Yelp
Stayed in the suite. Nice theme hotel, everything is clean, be prepared for all kinds of extra fees. Valet parking only. Caution to parents. Pool is small, during the day on the weekends the pool is filled with adults drinking for hours. Some don't get out till they leave. That pool is probably very high in ph if you get my meaning. After sun starts to go down adults leave and families come out. Kids just swimming all kinds and as normal, choking on water as they come up...
google avatar

Loretta Lola S.

Yelp
I come here on the weekends and find the ambience so amazing but everything that servers really stick out to Lincoln and Jacky, who is from San Diego California to amazing servers who are SO INCREDIBLY ATTENTIVE AND AWESOME not just to us two servers in particular stick out here at Margaritaville. I hope they' hard work ethic does not go unnoticed by the owners of this bar! I will definitely be back to see Lincoln AND JACKIE ( HE IS AMAZINGLY ATTENTIVE JACKIE) definitely a Review
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
Great; -The people that work there are fantastic, valet-front desk-bar tenders- servers- maids! -Location is in the heart of the Gaslamp & Petco Park! -Pool area is fun! -Room was great, cool decorations and very clean Not so great: -Sewage smell in hall two days in a row in the morning. We notified front desk. -I ordered a Longboard draft beer at the Longboard Bar & Grill and was told that the keg was empty, this was on Friday late afternoon. -No NBA playoff basketball on any TV Sunday night, all other bars & restaurants close by had games on, was told it would take too long to change the channels? Half of the TV's had the Andy Griffith show on.
google avatar

Natasha D.

Yelp
Roof top bar and pool with a restaurant area. Vibe and music was great and lots of fun to hang out with a drink and grab a burger. Small pool area and in the daytime was too crowded for my taste. Lounge in the lobby area was great and enjoy my stay. Would stay there again. Easy to get around and walking distance to the convention center area. And farmers market in the area
google avatar

Yesenia G.

Yelp
Thank you, Thomas! The best person you could come across here! He was so attentive and kind!

Cathleen C.

Yelp
Just checked in and front desk team member was extremely unwelcoming. We were supposed to get 2 free drink We got to our room and it is super cute, but only 4 drawers, a fridge that is cool, not cold and you cannot adjust the temperature. The a/c vent does not go into the room but across a window. The shower is tiny and there is no shelf for personal items like a shaver or facial cleanser. I truly hope I can update this review, but we should have trusted our instincts and stayed somewhere else. Oh we got a Premium King Spa room

Yelp
First time staying here and love the personality and decor. Having a name like Margaritaville I was expecting to get a margarita upon check-in but no such luck. I took the bus from the airport, and walked from broadway and 6th, short easy walk, hotel was easy to find...you know cause it has margaritas and a giant bird painted on the outside, seriously can't miss it. Check-in was fast and easy. I don't know if all the rooms come with this but ours came with 2 complimentary water bottles which we re-filled thanks to the generous water stations on the Lobby floor, and we had plenty of coffee, plus there is a coffee soup on site plus a restaurant (we had brunch there) and there's a pool / bar on the 4th floor. Now I'm not kidding in saying this, but the food I ordered from the pool menu was the best food I had on this trip. I ordered chicken wings and the turkey burger, so good. Lastly, the rooms are a good size. This hotel doesn't have ocean views, unless maybe if you're on one of the very top floors. So we kept our window shut...too many city noises anyway. The room decor was cute, and the sink handles where whale tales! neat hotel, I feel like I picked a good one.

Becca T.

Yelp
I visited the Margaritaville bar up top, and Mary and Luke served me. They both were so nice and friendly. Mary was an absolute delight, and easy on the eyes. Luke was a character. Definitely visiting the bar top again.

Richard M.

Yelp
Stayed with my family for a quick San Diego get away. Staff is friendly. Room was nice. Amenities are good, Cafe and restaurant is good. The only negative is pool hours should be extended to the evening. After being out sightseeing it's nice to come back to the hotel and unwind by the pool but it closes at 8pm, would be nice if it closed at 10pm.
google avatar

Kayla R.

Yelp
Great hotel! Stayed here when I was in town for a work event and truly enjoyed my stay. Check-in typically isn't until 4pm and check-out is typically at 11am. I arrived around 1-2pmish and was able to check-in as my room was ready. That was awesome they allowed me to check-in early. The staff was incredible and super nice. This hotel is in a great part of town and near a bunch of restaurants and bars. I would totally stay here again. I had a King sized bed room and it was perfect. Great size room and nice and clean. The bed was really comfy, too. I found nothing wrong with my room and really enjoyed my stay here. I only wish I was staying more nights so I could have experienced more of the amenities. They have a nice workout room, pool, and restaurant that I wish I would have been able to use, but again, super quick trip for work. Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for one in the Gaslamp area. Reasonably priced and a great stay!
google avatar

Rob P.

Yelp
Got to the rooftop bar at 9:45 and they closed at 10. Pointed out that they have a five dollar margarita special if you attend the Padres game. They said it was just for opening day but that's not what their advertisement said. Sorry if you wanna close early or don't wanna make some money in honor the coupons before you close but that's business. Be better
google avatar

Giulia C.

Yelp
Great rooms with such a fun theme! Whether you're a Jimmy buffet fan or not, this hotel is charming and fun. The rooftop pool and bar area is where it's at for pre- or post Padre games, brunch, or happy hour. Land shark bar & grill is great, too, for drinks, breakfast, or their live music! The staff is so friendly and accommodating, we felt very taken care of.

Mia R.

Yelp
Stopped by Margaritaville in San Diego with some friends and ended up having way more fun than expected, mostly thanks to Jalen!!!! He made some fire drinks, super chill to talk to, and just had great energy all around. He was quick, friendly, and gave solid recs without being pushy. You can tell he actually enjoys being there, which made the vibe even better. Honestly, if you're hitting up Margaritaville, sit at the bar and ask for Jalen, he's the reason we stayed way longer than planned lol. We'll definitely be back!

Kyra A.

Yelp
From the outside, the hotel looks really nice! However, on the rooftop bar, there were many cockroaches! Not the most pleasant site to see!

Yelp
Thomas is amazing! Hands down the best service I've ever received. He's professional, attentive, and goes above and beyond every time. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Amazing staycation! We attended a wedding over the weekend and stayed at this location. We will definitely be back. The staff were friendly and the valet was easy to navigate. The restaurant, the rooftop bar and the coffee spot all exceeded our expectations.

9 out of 10 stars for this hotel. Loved the room and atmosphere of the hotel. Staff members were awesome. The food was good, little expensive but good. Some drinks were really good but a few were okay. Bartenders had to look up recipes for every drink they made even the their own menu drinks.

Yelp
WARNING TO ALL!! The valet for special events/ Padres games are scamming customers. After pulling into the driveway, they will claim to be reaching capacity and can only accommodate if you pay double/extra, but the real catch is "their card machines are down" and only accept cash or Venmo! TOTAL SCAM. Do not park here.

Yelp
Pet friendly... and maybe a little too pet friendly - 11:30PM and there is a constant barking dog on our floor... along with another dog who's howling every 5-10 min. Don't get me wrong, I love a pet friendly hotel, and love all animals... but woah. Front desk staff should have a policy around pet noise, if possible. We called the front desk asking if they could call the owner - and they said no but that they'd call security??? What's that going to do? Anyway, yikes. Also the pool ambiance/bar is pretty sad.

Yelp
Title: Loved the Hotel -- But Then They Charged Me $5,700 Extra I stayed here for Cisco Live 2025 (June 7-12, 2025, confirmation #156449498). The hotel itself was actually fantastic: clean, comfortable, great Gaslamp location, and the on-site staff were friendly. But after I got home, I found out my company credit card was charged a second time for $5,739.30, on top of the original charge that was already paid. I called immediately and was told to speak to the finance team -- but after multiple calls and being sent to voicemail, I still don't have an explanation or a refund. The stay was wonderful, but the way this billing mistake has been handled is completely unprofessional. This has caused major headaches for me and my company, and it shouldn't be this hard to fix a hotel's error. If you stay here, watch your credit card closely. I really hope they resolve this ASAP so I can update this review, but for now, I can't recommend booking with them.

Yelp
Ana V was incredible. She made check in run smooth and quickly. We were struggling with our young children. She offered a few locations for dining, answered some questions regarding petco park, and even suggested some fun places to visit with the kids.
