No photos are allowed inside the eclectic mix of exhibits set in a former police station and magistrates court. It includes information about the wars, local sandals, and entertainment in the local area.

Nice little museum but the man on the front desk who gave us our tickets was horribly racist. In the 5 minute conversation we had he started telling us about how he grew up in Luton but doesn’t go back because there’s too many black people! I am aware that this is not the museums fault but they should be made aware.

Lovely little museum to spend an hour or more.

Very interesting visit. Shame about the gentleman on the desk as we entered who was rude and full of his own importance. Felt like turning around and leaving. Could have ruined our experience but the other volunteers’ kindness and knowledge made up for this. Not sure what his problem was?

Well, it's worth a visit and shows the visitors a short history of margate. It's just a shame you are not allowed to take photos, and they do tend to follow you to make sure you don't. If people could then see how great it is

Really interesting museum, bigger than it looks outside, very informative volunteers can show you around if you want. 45 minutes well spent.

We visited Margate museum today and what can we say wow! What an amazing experience, the displays are interesting and informative however what really made it for us were the guys inside. The staff were so friendly and were full of extra information and interesting facts about not only the things on display but Margate itself. This has been the highlight of our whole trip. We would 100 percentage recommend.

Wonderful place full of local history and information. All the people were knowledgeable and passionate about the exhibits. It was only a short trip around, about an hour, but well worth the entrance fee. Would highly recommend to locals and tourists alike
