Margin Street Inn

Wonderful long weekend in Westerly. We had the pleasure of a 3 night stay at the Margin St Inn as well as hosting an event in their "Carriage House". The rooms and property were beautiful and the housekeeping is on a level that you simply do not see anymore. The grounds are beautiful with statement trees that were planted before Laura Ingalls Wilder was born and heading west with her family. Chris and Sarah are on the move all the time looking after every detail to ensure a perfect stay. The morning breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Book it, you will be thankful you did!

The margin Street Inn is the greatest place to stay in Westerly, RI and I can’t imagine many other places in the state rivaling it. Sarah and Chris are amazing hosts and do every thing possible to make your stay fantastic. Margin Street Inn is so cozy and welcoming, i would be happy puttering around the house and grounds all day. Of course I’d leave to have lunch and dinner at one of the many quality restaurants in downtown Westerly, all within a mile of the MSI. Drive or Uber to Watch Hill and take in the beach, peruse the shops on Bay Rd and have an expensive lunch at Ocean House. Return to MSI and sit in the Sun room to enjoy wine, beer, and a cheese and charcuterie spread around 5 pm meeting the other guests all of whom will have plenty of entertaining stories to share. Come night’s end, the house will be quiet, the rooms dark and you’ll sleep like a baby on the incredibly comfortable beds and pillows provided in every room. Sweet dreams!

This Inn is the perfect place to stay! Gorgeous grounds, amazing owners and brilliant breakfast. The cottage next door is where we stayed and we felt so at home. We loved the peaceful vibe. My favorites were the homemade lemon ricotta pancakes that Sarah made and the fireplace in our room. Do not miss this spot!

Oustanding stay at the Margin Street Inn overlooking the Pawcatuck river on a very quiet street in Westerly. Completely refurbished in 2018 in line with the original design of the house, the Inn is an oasis of calm and serenity with only 5 rooms per house, each room having a large second ensuite sitting room. Delicious quiche for breakfast!!

We just returned from a 3 night stay at the inn and we highly recommend this. This is probably the most luxurious and well decorated interior of any inn or B&B we have stayed at and we only stay at the best and highest rated inns. The hosts Sarah and Chris are wonderful and welcoming and the breakfast is fantastic.

The margin street inn is a true escape minutes from the watch hill beaches! The owners Sarah and Chris go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Sarah even made us our very own vegetarian frittata every morning. The details of the inn are very special from the fresh flowers everywhere, to the afternoon wine and cheese and don’t forget the most mouth watering chocolate chip cookies! The grounds are peaceful and we can’t wait to come back

The grounds. The room. The food. The location. Margin Street Inn has it all. Sarah and Chris are the consummate hosts, attending to details big and small. The grounds — just WOW! We meandered the paths of the historic Perry Homestead, awed by the mature trees and stunning greenery. The multi-acre compound includes a second big house as well as an event venue. The room — we stayed in a bright and beautiful suite with a gas fireplace and sunroom that faced the river. The rest of the house too…. Common areas with more fireplaces, inside sun porch, outside porch, and amazing architecture. The food — yummy breakfast including Sarah’s frittatas and homemade yogurt. Delish! The happy hour charcuterie board and array of beverages hit the spot after a day of exploring. The location — an easy walk to restaurants in Westerly-Pawcatuck. We liked that the inn is off the beaten path and away from the crowds of Watch Hill. We’ll be back — we have to visit in the fall!

We stayed at Margin Street Inn for one night in May to attend a dinner event nearby and even though it was just one night we absolutely loved our stay and would go back in a heartbeat. The room (Room 10) was beautifully decorated, the whole property is beautiful and the daily breakfast was great. What really sets the inn above and beyond is the warm and hospitable environment that Sarah and Chris have created - we enjoyed getting to chat with Sarah who is incredibly kind. We were already talking about coming back and staying for longer before we even checked out.

We can't say enough great things about the Margin Street Inn and about our gracious and hard-working hosts, Sarah and Chris. We recently had a large group stay here and everything was absolutely wonderful. If you've stayed in some nice B&Bs, you probably think you know what this will be like -- but this is several notches better: a big step up in luxury, cleanliness, beautiful setting, and the attentiveness of the hosts. We stay at nearby Ocean House frequently, and of course that's lovely and luxurious. But the accommodations at the Margin Street Inn are every bit as good... and a *lot* less expensive. We were all delighted with our stay and hope to have the good fortune to be able to visit again!

Margin Street Inn is a gem. Sarah and Chris are incredibly hospitable and knowledgeable. We were blown away by the attention to detail from the quality of the room appointments to the homemade breakfasts. Recommendations for day trip and restaurants were spot on. Don't miss this wonderful inn. Sarah and Chris, the couple who are the innkeepers, do a fantastic job in making this a wonderful home away from home. Ideally located on a quiet neighborhood street adjacent to the Pawcatuck river, within easy reach to visit Watchhill, Newport, Mystic and Stonington. The Inn is comprised of two separate buildings, both of which have been totally renovated ...sparing no expense with incredible attention to detail. Enjoy!!!!
