Maria Callas Museum

Newly refurbished house of former famous opera singer Maria Callas converted to the museum. Very well maintained. Nice and clean. Plenty of information. Three floors. Beautiful view of the Acropolis of Athens from the terrace on the top floor. Very polite, friendly and helpful staff. Cafe and souvenir shop on the ground floor. Highly recommended to visit this museum.

The museum is dedicated to the memory of the great artist (no connection to the house she grew up in). It includes the artist's costumes, original writings and details/filming from concerts. A must see!

Awesome cozy thematic and diadrastic museum of la divina Maria Kallas. Recently opened in the centre of the Athens commercial district. Worth a visit!

Loved it! It's so great that they have an entire floor dedicated to her voice. It was such a well designed exhibit, well worth the visit and the 10 euros.

This museum was the one thing that was missing to honor La Divina!!! Me, as an opera singer and a fan of this monumental artist, can only recommend the visit! Simply amazing! She would be proud! Everything really good made - all the material they collected and are showing, such a rich place! - and the staff is extremely polite and friendly. Just visit the museum, you will not regret it!

I loved the humanity and sensitivity with which the professionals who co-created this museum have shared Maria Callas' story. I believe they have truly heard all of her parts and understood who she truly was, treating her complex life experiences with the respect and compassion she deserved but didn't always get while she was alive. The museum honours her legacy in a way that is authentic, thought-provoking, and fitting for a person who left such a meaningful impact on both opera and Greece.
