It is really very well made museum. It is bright, rich and informative. It is a really excellent idea to listen to Maria Callas (great pleasure!) performances, watch genuine interviews and concerts, observe newspapers covers, concerts posters, etc. The museum shop and cafè are also pleasant. I think, there is much more in the tragic life of La Divina, starting from her origin and family issues, passing through her problems with her first husband, a bit more about the toxic relationship with Onasis, her detoriation after their split and her voice lost, depression, illnesses, etc and nevertheless-her tragic death. Also, I really would like to see some vynils (LP) in the museum shop, as there were CDs- I would have bought some. P. S third floor place with terrace is very nice as well. Overall, I highly recommend the place!❤️

A very beautiful museum where you can truly experience the life and history of Maria Callas. I enjoyed every moment. The terrace is also amazing, with a great view of the Acropolis.

Maria Callas Museum offers a marvelous auditorium experience from its entrance. Placed in the heart of downtown, the curator display the diva biography in the most dramatic yet captivating approach. It is highly recommended for all Opera lovers but even if you not familiar with this Greek Icon, you would still enjoy the 3 floors tour. Highly recommended ❤️ My tip would be, do not rush, go through every detail, very entertaining and full of personal journaling, and contemporary interviews, quotes expressing & witnessing the artist timeline & life journey. (PS: i waited over 30min in line to be able to enter, as it was 18th of May which happened to be the international day for Museums Free admissions in Greece)

Wow, wow, wow! What a Gem of a museum, which not only immerses you in the voice and technique of Callas, it also immerses you into her psyche (fashion, education, the People and relationships which shaped her) which helped her generate the raw emotions we hear in her interpretations. We understand the human behind the ultimate Norma and Toska ... La Divina. Lovely gift shop too with amazing ideas for gifts for yourself and others from Jewelry to La Divina wines and chocolate. A must if you have an hour or two to spare, and in a part of the city with great shopping, eating and coffee stops around... So great to pair as a day out in the City for both locals and travellers.

Newly refurbished house of former famous opera singer Maria Callas converted to the museum. Very well maintained. Nice and clean. Plenty of information. Three floors. Beautiful view of the Acropolis of Athens from the terrace on the top floor. Very polite, friendly and helpful staff. Cafe and souvenir shop on the ground floor. Highly recommended to visit this museum.

it seems that the museum is small. but if you are interested in opera and the fate of Maria, you will be happy to meet these documents and the exhibition

Perfect experience. Starting with videos of Callas iconic performances in different rooms, then you can see full story of her life on second floor. Shop was not rich enough though.

A wee bit traditional in presentstion for my taste but very complete. You'll enjoy it more if you've seen the movie.
