Maria Giovanna Guesthouse in Marsalforn, Gozo

Excellent homely accommodation. There’s a lovely breakfast included every morning served by the owners . The guesthouse is in a great location and we’ve booked again for October when we come back to Gozo for another diving trip

Absolutely fantastic guest house right in the centre of Marsalforn. Sonia, the hostess, is a wonderful, pleasant and caring person.The rooms are fairly small but perfectly functional and amazingly clean.The shower was very good and the surrounding area is quiet.Breakfast is excellent. There’s a special of the day or you can basically have what you want. All cooked fresh to order.Really enjoyed staying here.

Frequently returning guests, both in summer and off season. Conveniently located a short stroll from the bustling seafront, this charming guesthouse is a tranquil haven where to rest comfortably after a day at the beach or a night on the town either in the seaside village itself or the nearby capital city, beaches and dive sites. Nostalgic and often quirky furnishings of traditional Gozitan houses (all online pictures are true to life), rooms with ensuite showers are extremely clean with all the comforts listed, including WIFI/TV, tea/coffee facilities, bedroom AC, super comfy bedding and super relaxing shower water pressure. Breakfasts are delicious, both continental and English breakfast options available with a personalised touch as often locally sourced and home made produce is offered from a traditional Gozitan kitchen. Genuine staff experienced in providing a quality experience, friendly, hospitable, and willing to go the extra mile to address queries and suggest ways to ensure a pleasant stay at the guesthouse and on the island. Compared to other guesthouses in the area, it is especially good value for money when evaluating the attention/service/food offered to guests. Highly recommended. Once you experience a stay here, you will definitely want to return!

We stayed 2 people for a week and honestly, I couldnt have asked for a better place to stay at. Anna and Sonia are extremely nice and helpful and they will serve you a wonderful breakfast. We slept very well in the beautiful room and the location is just perfect, close to the beach and to the bus which takes you around the island. Thank you so much for being such great hosts!

Beautiful and comfy bed. Room tastefully furnished with great attention to detail. Shower fantastic. We told them we didn't eat meat, so they made us lovely omelettes as well as the cold buffet. Very friendly and helpful. Bus, beach, bars and restaurants all very close.

This will be our second visit to Maria Giovanna, again we were not disappointed. The place is spotless, comfortable rooms, excellent cooked breakfast to your liking in addition to a selection of cereals, jams , cakes, cheeses , hams etc. Hosts Sonia and her friendly staff made us welcome and provide an excellent service. Highly recommend. Just 2 minutes walk away from the sea. Thank you.

The BEST place to stay: lovely people, wonderful house, perfect „ambiente“! |The house/ rooms are refurbished with knowledge and style, just wonderful: conserving tradition with modern elements. very clean and a good „smell“ all over the house. |The breakfast with homemade jam, cakes and fruits (also cooked breakfast is available) is a piece of paradise on earth! |Come again and stay forever.

This is a family run guesthouse, and you can tell as it’s is just perfect in every way. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, with a wonderful modern bathroom. Beds were so comfortable so sleep was not a problem.|Lovey selection for breakfast, from continental to the good old English and everything in between.|The location could not be better either, out of the door, 20 paces or so and the promenade and beach awaits with a large number of restaurants bars etc. |stay away from the big chain hotels and book a stay here. You won’t regret it.
