Hands-down, this was a near perfect meal. The only reason I downgraded service was because they were busy and probably could use one more server. But the staff was friendly, accommodating, the view amazing, the food, hot and fresh. The presentation lovely. The wine delicious. The seafood pasta with King Crab was divine, so much seafood I could hardly eat the dish. The pasta was super fresh. My dining companion had the Merluza Negra, also equally delicious. We followed the Chef’s pairing recommendation and ordered Savignon Blanc, that perfectly paired with our meals.

I don’t understand the high reviews at all! I was excited to get the crab pasta since people raved about in other reviews, but it was so mediocre that I did not finish it. The pasta had a fishy-ness to it from the crab, which tasted not fresh. They make the pasta in house apparently, and it didn’t really have the texture of pasta. Some of the noodles stuck together so some were 2 noodles wide, and some were just 1 noodle, which gave it an inconsistent texture. The bread was stale/dry, and my partner did not like his ojo de vide either. He also ordered it jugoso and the first time it came out well-done and they redid it.

This was really disappointing. We tried the kings crab - it came straight from the refrigerator. They didn't pour the wine attentively as my glass contained tartrate crystals. When I told the personnel they didn't apologize but insisted this is normal. You would expect better service at this price, it's a shame

We came for a late lunch and it was nice that the restaurant wasn't busy. We got a lovely table with a view of Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel. The food was great. I got a seafood dish with fish, shrimp and crab meat. My husband got a steak served with mashed potatoes. The steak was actually cooked medium rare and not overdone. The dessert was delicious. We were also able to leave the tip with our credit card which was great since we didn't have cash. Highly recommend, especially for tourists like us without Argentine Pesos.

I’m not quite sure how this place is so popular and has such stellar reviews. We were greeted by what appeared to be the owner who may also have been the chef in an extremely unfriendly manner as we were the first to enter the restaurant when it had opened. We ordered the mussels to start and then had main dishes of the southern Seabass and a seafood salad. Both came quickly. They were a total of seven muscles. For around $12. Quite remarkable. As for the main courses, the “seafood salad“ was a bag of frozen seafood placed, bizarrely, and a large piece of fried cheese. As for the Seabass, it was very good, as for the potatoes, but the Seabass was rather small and portion, particularly for the $40 price point, and the potatoes numbered three. The view was the only redeeming quality of the restaurant and the servers were friendly

Google
Maria Lola resto is reasonably convenient from the main street. I would not consider it simple to access if you had a mobility issue as it's up a steep drive. The service staff was efficient and courteous. The only fish I could find that was reasonable local and fresh was the Sea Bass. The Sea Bass was somewhat plain although a very good portion size. No vegetables included, a very small portion of crab and two baby squid. Overall a plain meal lacking any depth of flavour. Too bad it lacked flavour as the portion size was generous. Salad was fresh and well prepared while the squid appeared rubbery and previously frozen. Overall a fair meal but a bit expensive . Reservations suggested. This rating considers food quality, price and service.

Google
Definitely the fanciest restaurant we have eaten at in Ushuaia. Pricy, portions are relatively small (especially the entrees) but the food is definitely really good. Service is very fast. Great views overlooking the port. Menu has English translations. Reservations recommended, although it is not as busy during the early afternoon hours.

Google
One of the best places in Ushuaia for dinner. I was impressed by the generous hunks of meat in the king crab (centolla) appetizer. The main entrees were also very tasty. Prices were reasonable and service was friendly.

Yelp
During our family trip to the Patagonia, our tour guide threw me a surprise birthday party at Maria Lola Resto, which is the best restaurant in Ushuaia, Argentina! The restaurant itself is cozy with simple elegance, modern, clean and sophisticated. We sat by the windows during the dinner and enjoyed a magnificent view of Ushuaia, with a church and the waterfront. Staff was friendly and attentive. However, the most important thing was the wine and food were excellent! We each had a creamy seafood soup, and shared an appetizer with scrumptious king crab meat. Daughter and I each had the Merluza Negra, which was Southern Sea Bass served with potatoes lightly sauteed in olive oil and peppers, which was so fresh and delicious. My wife had the Merluza Negra con Mariscos, which was Southern Sea Bass served with light lemon butter, fueguian king crab, baby octopus, and shrimps. She generously shared her dish with me, every piece of seafood in her dish was so fresh, tender, and tasty! We did not order desserts from the restaurant, as our tour guide had gotten a birthday cake from an outside bakery, which was also excellent! We have traveled extensively and been to many restaurants, this is one of the more memorable ones. If you ever travel to Ushuaia, Argentina, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Ok, Wow! This was the best restaurant we ate at in Ushuaia, and quite possibly in Argentina as a whole. They had a reservation for our group of 9 and served everyone in a timely fashion. Servers could help in English when needed. I had a delightful squash ravioli, and there were several vegetarian friendly items on the menu. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Fabulous! Sea bass was delicious, steak filet was best we've had...cute place just a block off the Main Street downtown. Definitely worth the hike up the hill!

Yelp
We were in last week and looking forward to some great food, especially seafood. The much touted special with sea bass, shrimp, and octopus was inedible. It smelled horribly like old cat food - and it was old fish. Wife's seafood pasta didn't smell as bad but did smell and had almost zero taste and clumped together noodles. No complaints about the service if you overlook them bringing that stuff to the table. Loved the town but easily the worst meal we have had over the last two weeks.

Yelp
Wow! King crab from the Beagle Channel! The famous Argentinian beef is all it's cracked up to be. Exquisite! Someone here in town told me Maria Lola's is the best place for lunch in town, and they were right! Ignacio is an excellent waiter. He speaks impeccable English and was very helpful.

Yelp
The food was decent, the service was attentive, the view is beautiful(on a sunny day). The downside is: This is a fine dining/ gourmet experience. Prices are sky rock(even in Gringo -North American standards) and portions are tiny.  So come here only if you want to impress your date!

Yelp
My friend and I ordered the only two dishes that had kind crab, one is made in a natural way, and the other is made into a stew/soup with added cream and clam. I preferred the natural way, cuz the crab meat is juicy and fresh, but with the cream, you may get a little tired of the taste before you finish the dish. The location of this restaurant gives a nice view of the waters, and the service is nice. I heard people coming from different countries speaking different languages while dining there.

Yelp
A good restaurant who has a lot of fish on the menu, they also offer meat of course. We tried the seafood risotto and it had s lot of fish, kingcrab and mussels. Tasty and good. Not cheap but the food reflects the price you pay and it's good. Mains was 200+ The other guests was 40+ , and they seemed to target this kind of guests. We did not have dessert, but the selection looked nice. Great view also.

Yelp
This place was delicious and had a spectacular view! We had the crab au natural and the sea bass with crab, shrimp, and squid. Both were great. We also loved the broccoli cheese focaccia. We washed it all down with a nice bottle of well priced Sauvignon blanc. We were there on a sunny day and sat at the window and enjoyed the view of the church and water. I wish I had more time in Ushuaia because I would have gone back again.

Yelp
What a charming restaurant set high in a residential neighborhood with a fantastic view. Great diverse menu with wonderful seafood choices. The service was excellent and the atmosphere warm and inviting. Not an empty table in the place, be sure to make a reservation.

Yelp
I was in Ushuaia in April 2015 and found this restaurant recommended by a friend from Buenos Aires. I couldn't believe the quality of the food, wine and desserts. It is a casual place where people treat you with the outmost diligence and consideration. A MUST if you visit Ushuaia!!!! Don't miss the centolla appetizer!!!

Yelp
Environment is fabulous! Great spot for sunset. And the food is amazing! Best spaghetti ever! And the trout is so good the appetizer of king crab and avocado is super!

Yelp
Amazing view and great food. The staff was very nice too. The seafood risotto and the dessert, Copa de Vino were delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
