We had an amazing time staying here. It’s adults only, so had a very relaxed feel. ||As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a glass of local wine and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. ||The room was a good size, the pool is beautifully clean and the pool bar is very convenient with delicious food available during the day served by efficient and friendly staff. ||Breakfasts were a great standard and there’s a lovely bar and restaurant on the rooftop which often has live entertainment. ||Negatives are there was no iron/ironing board available. We didn’t try it, but other guests said the Friday night bbq was not very good value. But these really are quite minor issues compared with all the positives. ||The hotel left some cake and wine in the room on my partner’s birthday and we were also offered a nice bottle of wine as a leaving gift. ||The hotel is located about a 5-minute walk from the centre where there are loads of incredible restaurants and bars. ||We’d definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay but had a few minor issues. |Positives|Room- lovely. Bed was so comfortable and a good bathroom. We had a view over the building site but had no issues, in fact we quite enjoyed watching them. 5 men working means it could be going on for years! Some noise but minor. |Breakfast- very happy with this and loved the piano|Location- Excellent. A very slight hill but so accessible. We used Ubers and found them very accessible.|Rooftop bar- really nice and very reasonable |Issues|Tavira- lovely place and so much to see and do.|Staff- very friendly and helpful. Nice touch of glass of wine on arrival |Issues|Lift- one out of order all week. |Pool bar closed from the second day we were there. Although the weather wasn’t glorious it was still nice enough to sit by the pool and have a swim. We saw no sign of any staff on the days we were out there and it was not appropriate to go up 4 floors to get a drink. |Sunbeds need replacing. There were 2 good ones, the rest were uncomfortable. |We would happily stay again.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel as a solo traveller. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Both the breakfast and set menu were of a very high standard, and the Piña Colada was particularly impressive. This was my first trip after losing my partner, and the kindness and care shown by the team made a real difference. I also really appreciated their attention to detail and care in accommodating my nut allergy — it made the experience feel safe and stress-free.

Fantastic hotel in a lovely city. Booked a suite for one night and allocated room 401 with Jacuzzi on the balcony outside|The lady on reception was very helpful and the staff on roof top bar and breakfast were brilliant. |Spoke to the manager |Joao Davide / juan Davide who speaks fluent French and gave us some good tips for visiting Tavira. Overall one of our best stays. Small negative point was the fact only 2 lifts and one was out of order for the entire stay so being on the 4th floor meant waiting for 15 minutes to get down for breakfast!

It has taken far too long to respond, far too long here. Your receptionist was threatening, reckless, and frightened me. She spoke rudely to me, yelled at me, scared me, and tried to intimidate me. For that reason I left the hotel at 2:30 am, and yes, I notified the police, and I would do it again. They never offered me new pillows; they're very old, and they know it. You're lying. You never asked me for an explanation. You haven't refunded my money. I paid for three nights. You're a bad manager. And yes, I'm in the habit of writing bad reviews.

Wonderful hotel and staff. They try really hard to make it a nice stay, from the welcoming glass of wine to the delicious, generous breakfast and piano player at breakfast, flowers on Sundays for the ladies, this place is great and a great value. Great beds, duvets, balconies, USB ports on each side of bed, great shower, large towels, nice staff, great Turkish bath and sauna. Great value, close to everything.

⭐☆☆☆☆|Disappointing stay – not the 4-star experience advertised||I stayed at this hotel from 28th October and had planned to stay until 1st November, but I’m leaving early (on the 30th) as the facilities and experience didn’t meet expectations.||The room was very tired and in need of maintenance – scuffed paint, chipped walls, mouldy silicone, and smeared glass surfaces. There were even muddy marks on the floor, making the room feel unclean.||Breakfast service was slow, with a 15-minute wait just to be seated. Food way below average to other Algarve hotels we've stayed in. ||The pool bar was closed, so guests had to go lonf walk inside, then up to the 4th floor to order drinks, then carry them all the way back outside – not ideal, especially with one lift broken. ||The pool itself wasn’t well maintained and had lot's of bugs floating in it.||To make matters worse, the hotel is right next to a construction site, with loud noise from diggers and machinery from 8am to 5pm every day. There was no music or attempt to mask the noise, so it was impossible to relax.||Staff were effective yet very formal – not the friendly, welcoming atmosphere I’ve always experienced elsewhere in Portugal.||Overall, this felt more like a tired 3-star hotel than the 4-star standard advertised. Sadly, I can’t recommend it and left 2 days early requesting a refund for the day's i left. Given the poor condition, lack of amenities, and constant disturbance.||Tavira is beautiful all restaurants and bars are welcoming and you wont go wrong. |We actually had a far more relaxed stay for 1night prior to here (AP Maria Nova ) at a quaint guesthouse - Mares Residenciale Riverside. |We treat ourselves and "upgraded " as it was full after our 1 night. Choosing Maria Nova for outdoor pool and pool bar for what we thought could be 4 days quiet relaxation. We should have stayed where we were. ||NB spent day at nearby AP Cabanah beach as day visitors for a meeting, it's different completely staff freindly attentive and lot's of music atmosphere looked clean. Holiday Vibe achieved.|Didn't see in rooms but corridors and public areas we're well maintained.

A great relaxing hotel close to the town centre. Clean room, comfortable bed. Pool was a nice area and the building work going on close by was not much of an issue. We went full board and ate some lovely food. The chicken ceaser salad at the pool bar was lovely. At breakfast there was a man on the piano which was a nice touch. Very small complaint is that the swim up bar was unmanned but wasn’t much of an issue for us but may have been good to know before hand.

Yelp
This is a great hotel with plenty of amenities and nice rooms, for a low price. But the breakfast is what really stands out - probably the best "free" one I've ever had. Worth a stop in Tavira, just to spend a night here.

Yelp
Started out not great!!! Greeted by agent saying it's been very stressful the day!!! Was told to go behind state house and get euro but she never said it closes at 3 and it was 4:30 when she sent us! Asked for a TukTuk and was told something (lol) so confusing we never understood! Awful service. She was in a rush like we know where we are!! Very frustrating since we just flew into Lisbon this morning from Madeira and drove 2.5 hrs to here.
