Marianne Wine Estate

Our visit to Marianne Wine Estate was genuinely special from the moment we arrived. The estate is beautifully kept, with an atmosphere that feels both elegant and welcoming, making it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. What stood out most was how personal the visit felt. The tasting was unhurried and thoughtfully presented, allowing us to truly engage with each wine. The wines themselves were outstanding — balanced, expressive, and clearly crafted with care and passion. Each glass told its own story, making the tasting memorable rather than routine. Marianne Wine Estate left us with a lasting impression, not only because of the quality of the wines but also because of the warmth and attention we experienced throughout our visit. A place we would happily return to and recommend without hesitation.

Didn't stay in the accommodation, only went wine tasting.. Willy our sommelier was outstanding, and so knowledgeable and entertaining. Brad the manager was great and also attentive. We love coming here because of the views, wine, staff - everytime we're over we go. And ship some of the good grape back to the UK. Top tip - make this your last stop if youre doing a wine tour.

peaceful, scenic, and full of charm. The surroundings are calm and relaxing, perfect for a getaway. Breakfast was splendid, fresh, and delicious every morning. We also really enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting — such a lovely touch! We loved it so much that we actually extended our stay. Everything about the place felt genuine and welcoming.

We spent 4 nights at this beautiful place with lovely, friendly, supportive und positive staff. I would like to give special mention to Willie. He led the wine tasting and gave us a tour of the wine production process, right through to shipping, the next day. He is extremely open, friendly, helpful and simply a wonderful, positive person. On an organised trip, we arrived early to this quuet boutique winery on a hill looking down the lovely of vineyards & farms. The winery also has a guest house (the guests appeared very happy with their stay) & provides meals. We sat on the covered verandah & tasted 6 wines, with the final 3 paired with biltong (springbok, kudu, beef - apparently you can get with chocolate but not offered to us). The wines were very good. No pressure to buy but they offered delivery around the world). The staff member was very nice & knowledgeable about the wines.

Second vineyard visit on the Bosch Wine Experience. Smaller than Fairview but offers a great experience. Wine was paired with range of biltong or chocolate. Another fabulous site with great views. The sommelier was again very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information about the wines.

The place is beautiful, unfortunately for my family and I traveling form the USA (15hr flight) landing in Cape Town 20:45 put us at Marianne 22:15 at night exhausted. Being this tired we were so looking forward to a good nights rest but the room we walked into was at LEAST 35 degrees C (95F). The room really felt like a sauna. My daughters with a little fan in the room moving hot air around could not sleep. Additionally at breakfast the kitchen made me the incorrect order. Other than this the Farm and the views are really fantastic !

We choose Marianne because of the good reviews. People were friendly and the food was good. There was a terrace/veranda to sit outside. large group loud wine tasters, and other guests. it was too small for all the people,, we had to sit next to the noisy people if we wanted sit outside. One couch without cushions as place for relaxing? ||Our room was above a garage, I wondered the whole night where the petrol smell came from that gave me headache. How can you have a guest room above a garage with all the dirty smells going to the guest room above??||Our room had a small window looking at a roof with solar panels. So disappointed!
