I love this place!!! The service, food and atmosphere is so good. Very chilled. If you have specific dietary needs and have food allergies, suggest you look at the very clearly labelled menu and choose your own dishes, rather than rely on those from a set menu as part of a large booking/set menu. I would come back 5 x a week of I could. Thanks to the entire Maria’s team for always delivering the best food and service around.

Visited in November 2025. South Africa 🇿🇦 Cape Town. We sat on a cozy terrace surrounded by greenery, creating a calm and pleasant atmosphere, nicely hidden from the city noise. It felt relaxed and intimate — a great spot to unwind and enjoy a leisurely meal. FOOD: This is a Greek restaurant offering classic dishes such as spreads, pita with various fillings, and other traditional Greek specialties. We focused mainly on sharing starters. We ordered the breaded calamari, which came in a generous portion. The calamari was tender on the inside and nicely crispy on the outside — very well prepared. We also tried the hummus; for our taste, it was a bit too acidic and the texture wasn’t completely smooth, but overall it was still enjoyable and not a failed dish. For a main dish to share, we ordered a lamb pita. For our convenience, the staff kindly adjusted the presentation so the meat was served separately, allowing us to assemble and share it ourselves. The lamb was tender and flavorful, just as slow-cooked lamb should be, and the spices complemented it beautifully. SERVICE: Service was generally good, though a bit more attentiveness would have been appreciated. That said, our waitress was helpful and made an effort to accommodate our requests, which we appreciated. VERDICT: Overall, a solid Greek restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. The food was tasty and filling, and the setting made the experience especially pleasant. A good choice if you’re craving Greek cuisine in a relaxed, green setting. Recommended.

So happy I stumbled upon this gem! We didn’t have a reservation but they were kind enough to seat us. The staff were amazing and the food was just perfect. Will definitely be visiting again while in Cape Town.

Some mixed reactions to having dinner here. The food was quite underwhelming. The best thing we tried was the Tiropita and the wine. The menu is extensive, such is possibly the issue. Service was good, however they definitely need more hands on deck, the busier it gets, the less service you receive. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, but gets quite loud. My second visit to the restaurant, likely won't go back. If it's your first, give it a try.

Wow. Excellent restaurant with great service. Sitting outside in the courtyard on a sunny day is honestly unbeatable. We shared a bunch of starters and I would highly recommend doing so. Would recommend the calamari, halloumi, mukver, chicken souvlaki and any of the dips.

Food is delicious and the service was great. Very nice atmosphere and outdoor seating. The only reason I gave 3 stars, we reserved beforehand and advised we have a gluten intolerant guest (not a lifestyle/diet preference, but an allergy) and it was arranged that their food should be prepared and served separately, however this was not the case. After we discussed it with the staff, they brought food out separely but our guest still got very sick almost immediately after eating Humus/Haloumi/Keftethes/Cabbage salad/Grilled Calamari/Greek Salad, even though all these dishes are Gluten-free as per the staff. This is completely unacceptable! If you cannot provide what is requested, do not offer it, it could cause major health risks.

I definitely enjoyed this place. Food was good; I ordered 2 sides; Mediterranean style calamari and mücver. These were definitely enough for 2 people to share tbh. I also enjoyed the white wine. I went there before the dinner rush, on a Friday. So it was pretty chill.

This is my fourth time visiting Cape Town from Dubai, and I’m always on the lookout for great breakfast spots — and today I found a new favorite. It was my first time at this restaurant, and from the moment I walked in, I felt such a genuine and welcoming vibe. The space is beautiful and calm, perfect for a slow morning start. The food was absolutely incredible — fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and delicious. It’s rare to find a place where everything just clicks — the atmosphere, the food, and the service. A special thank-you to our waiter, Luvo, who truly made the experience even more memorable. He was kind, attentive, and made us feel so well taken care of without ever being overbearing. His energy was warm and sincere, and you could tell he genuinely cared about making sure guests had a great time. Thank you to the whole team — from the kitchen to the floor — for creating such a special place. I’ll definitely be back before I leave Cape Town, and this will be my go-to breakfast spot every time I return!
