We recently photographed a wedding where the bride purchased her dress from Mariella Creations and it was STUNNING! We are obsessed and hope more brides find this amazing store. Every detail was perfect and the dress was well made. The bride had a long wedding day and did some work dancing and the dress was just as beautiful at the end of the night as it was at the start of the day.

I found my dress at Mariellas! Super efficient and easy process across the board! I was very specific that I wanted long sleeves satin/silk. Mack rounded up about 10 or so dresses for me to try and and get a feel of the vibe/fit/pros/cons. She listened the entire time and we found the right one right off the rack for a great discount! I couldn’t have been happier! Thank you Mack!!

My daughter Gillian had a vision in her head of what her dress and veil was to be, Margie patiently and lovingly executed the finest detail with the alterations , and turned fabric into her one of a kind, magical veil. What a gift it is for brides to have these women ensure each gown is exactly fit for them. They have such talent and kindness to ensure the experience is remembered always. FIVE STARS ..exceptional service, exquisite detail, amazing talent !

Amazing experience! 10/10 would recommend! I first went to the shop in August just to see styles. I didn’t anticipate falling in love with anything. I worked with Mac, she brought me a dress that I would never have picked out on my own and I loved it so much. I left that day without it, but I couldn’t stop thinking about the dress! I finally went back and drove from Brooklyn, NY to order it specifically with her. It was absolutely worth the drive. I can’t wait to try it on again.

I could not have had a better experience than the one I had today at Mariella Creations! Mac was my bridal stylist, and her level of expertise was next level! She was so sweet and so helpful with finding the perfect dress for me. I could not recommend this bridal shop enough. I am so happy I said yes to the dress here!

I had such a wonderful experience at Mariella’s Bridal Shop while finding my wedding gown and veil for my April 2025 wedding in Newport, RI. Christine was absolutely amazing—so sweet, patient, and supportive throughout the process. She let me try on different styles without any pressure and even encouraged me to sleep on my decision, which I really appreciated. My mom also found her beautiful mother-of-the-bride dress at Mariella’s too. Highly recommend this shop for any bride-to-be or mother of brides!

Finding my wedding dress at Mariella’s Creations was a dream come true!! I had an incredible experience working with all of the women I encountered- special shout out to Christine, who attended to me during my appointment!! I was so taken care of and appreciated Christine's expertise, advice, kindness, and encouragement. If you haven't found your dress yet, PLEASE make an appointment with Mariella's Creations!! The gown selection is incredible and very high quality. It was so special returning to the store nearly a decade later, as I found my senior prom dress at Mariella’s years ago! I stopped into Mariellas because the shop I was supposed to go to was closed unexpectedly. Mariellas were able to accommodate me and my family despite not having an appointment and set me up with Lily to help me find my dress. She was so sweet and personable and really made our time there special! She nailed the perfect dresses showing that she really paid attention to the details I was looking for. I was so excited to come back and buy my dress today! My second time visiting was just as pleasant. The stylists there were able to help my mom find her mother of the bride dress as well as browse the bridesmaids dresses. I can’t wait to come back with my bridal party!

Awesome experience here! For someone who is wedding dress shopping they had A LOT to choose from. Christine listened to all my likes and dislikes and kept pulling just better and better options for me to try on. They have an eye for your body type as well so they will bring out different options you might not have considered to try yourself! I was pleasantly delighted we had our own private room to wait in and admire each dress I tried on. It was a great experience!!

Klienfelds ain't got $hit on Mariellas!! Hands down the absolute best experience ever!! Went with my best friend and what a great time we had. Christine our host really knows and understands her role well. She was warm, friendly, patient and courteous. I would definitely recommend for all brides to be and bridesmaids.

We did a google search for formal attire and found Mariella Creations' website and visited the store. I was a bit nervous since we arrived 45 minutes before closing on a Saturday but the staff there were polite, attentive and very gracious. We had the pleasure of working with Erin and she was EXCEPTIONAL. We needed a dress for my daughter who is going to her boyfriend's Junior prom. I will start off with saying that my daughter does not wear dresses and is not into "poofs, frills and lace" (her words) and wears a lot of black. I was very nervous going into this dress hunt but Erin took care of EVERYTHING. I told my daughter NO BLACK and that she was not going to Prom in Wednesday Addams mode (I happen to love Wednesday Addams but just for once wanted to see my daughter in some other color). Erin began pulling out about 8 dresses in record time and ALL of them were gorgeous. My daughter tries on the first dress which was a beautiful Periwinkle color and she absolutely loved it on the spot. When we laced up the back and she stood in front of the mirror, she gasped and said, "Oh my God Mom, I love this dress and I feel like a PRINCESS". She wanted that dress and did not want to try on any other dresses. My daughter chose the gown that had the "poof, frills and lace" and I actually teared up seeing her in it. Erin was such a joy to work with and made our shopping experience so amazing. I would definitely go here again for a prom gown although it might not be until her senior year... my daughter loves the dress so much, she wants to wear it to her Junior Prom next year!!

I would recommend shopping here a thousand times over. I worked with Kathleen Lester, was one of the most professional, kind and knowledgeable persons i have worked with during my dress journey. Let me tell you, i was absolutely not the best bride to be working with. From being Hangry and bickering with my mother. Kathleen was a the best . Giving me all the time to decide on a dress and giving me cues to try sitting in the dress etc. What stuck with me was her saying " i would want my own daughters to be able too have time like this". I unfortunately found my dress else were by happenstance.However it really goes to show how much I still remember how i was treated since trying on dresses in January at this shop. Thank you.

Excellent experience here. My consultant, Nella P., was fantastic to work with. She helped me find the dream gown I had never even dreamed of. In addition to the exceptional service, the design of this boutique is set up so that each bride gets her own fitting room with its own seating area for the bride's peanut gallery. I liked this compared to other other stores where the seating area is a common space. Prices are competitive. Would recommend.

I had a great first experience here working with Nella. She did a great job bringing things in for me to try after seeing my reactions to different styles of dresses. Nella's been here for many years and has a lot of experience helping women find the perfect gown! She advised us that white is out now and that they don't get many dresses in white, though most dresses can be ordered in white. I have trouble choosing something I can't see in person, so I knew it was unlikely I'd order a dress in a color I hadn't seen, like there aren't even pics online of different colors of each dress (some perhaps, maybe depends on company?)! It was a bit odd to have to give a credit card # to book an appointment but hey, I guess when you have limited weeknight and weekend hours you do what you have to to deter no-shows. If you don't show, you get charged $25, which is reasonable I guess. We were told that if your bridesmaids also buy gowns here then they get 10% off their dresses and the bride gets 5% off her dress, which is a nice little perk. I knew I could DEFINITELY find a dress here, but I was told there's another store I needed to check out (Vows) so I wasn't ready to commit on my first visit here, but I found three dresses here that I liked, a lot! I also loved the private space you get so that you aren't in the middle of the showroom on display, like at David's (I won't be going back there, but went there first so I'd have something to compare to). I ended up coming back here two additional times; the third visit was to actually order one of the 3 gorgeous dresses I tried on during my first two visits. I went to 5 stores (including this one) during my search for the perfect wedding dress, and started comparing all dresses elsewhere to my faves here and knew I had to come back and order what I started realizing was "the one"!

Amazing place with amazing people! My fiancé and I went wedding dress shopping today and this was an absolute blast of a time! Nella was nothing short of wonderful with listening to my fiancé as to what style she wanted, etc. At no point was she pressured to buy anything, nor was she rushed considering we were 20 minutes late for our appointment due to traffic. This is a top notch place that has amazing wedding dresses with people working there that actually care to make things as smoothly as possible for that special day. Thank you Mariella Creations and Nella for making this first time experience nothing short of spectacular! I'd highly recommend Mariella Creations!

I love the dress that I found and purchased here, but I was not impressed with my actual consultant or experience. I'm a simple girl- I don't expect people to roll out the red carpet for me. But I felt rushed and not valued. I will try to explain. When I called for an appointment, I was pleased at how quickly they could fit me in. I'm getting married shortly so I needed to get in fast. That part was lovely. But I was given no real specifics about what an appointment would be like. And being the clueless bride-to-be that I am, I didn't think to ask. Perhaps if I'd been told ahead of time, exactly how long my appointment would be, I wouldn't have been so shocked or disappointed later on in the appointment. The consultant pulled dresses that were mostly appropriate in terms of my preferred style and budget. I will give her that. But she just wasn't warm and fuzzy towards me. I felt like she was rushing me and not invested- perhaps because my budget was small and I was looking at sample dresses? It was either my friend or me who was making suggestions- maybe this would look better with a belt? How would this look bustled? The consultant didn't take any initiative. When I did stumble upon MY dress, it was wonderful! But we were then rushed out and told that I'd already run into another bride's time slot. I couldn't look at veils or head pieces. This broke my heart and was such a huge let down. It's not like we'd been there for hours. We were in and out in less than an hour and a half. The way the appointment ended really just... burst my bubble. I love my dress and I got a great deal, but I felt like my presence was a bother. Not really a fun feeling to have when you're buying a wedding dress. I'm not sure I'd return for other formal wear or use their recommended tailors. I just don't want to give them by business again.

This will be a long one, but I want to be sure to capture the full experience, which was an A++ in my book. I'll start with booking the appointment. I called and was greeted on the other end by a very helpful and friendly voice. I was told that to book the appointment they would need a credit card number to hold the appointment. I was assured I would only be charge $25 if I was a no-show, but otherwise no charge would occur. Some may have an issue with this, but I completely get why they do it. These woman work hard and you want to be sure your not wasting their time. Plus, the space is small and if your a no-show that means another bride missed out on getting an appointment. Now for the consultation. I was assigned Christine as my consultant. She was fabulous and nailed it on my first appointment!!!! Now I am not a girl that has been dreaming of her wedding day all her life so expectations were not high. I knew I wanted the mermaid silhouette and I did pick out a few dress styles and designers to show Christine what I had in mind. She then left and brought in 5 dresses for me to try. All were in the silhouette I wanted and different fabrics because I was unsure of that. I didn't need any other options. I tried them all on accept one because I had already determined from another dress the fabric was not what I wanted. Turns out I said "Yes to the dress" at the first shop I went to and first dress I tried on, what are the chances.!?!? I placed my order that night, gave a 60% down payment as they request and done. My dress did come in about 3 weeks later than they estimated, but it was perfect! I actually loved it even more than when I first saw it. The best part, all I needed was to get it hemmed and the straps shortened, it was a perfect fit! Throughout the process they were great with follow up and providing updates when I called about the ETA of the dress, and always friendly. When I went to pick up my dress I was able to try it on there and then took it straight for alterations, having already booked my appointment days earlier. I will write a separate review on that experience as I'm still in the alterations process. I did end up getting my Bridesmaid dresses here and speaking only from my experience I thought they were fabulous in that department as well. I made an appointment with Sarah and she was super accommodating. It was very last minute and when we showed up the experience was excellent. I met with Sarah a head of time to pick out some styles and the color I wanted. I then brought all my girls in to try on dresses so they could all pick together one style they liked. Because I got my dress here they all saved 10% and I got 5% off my dress, it was a win-win in my book. Truth be told two of my girls received their dresses several sizes too big, but the other 3 girls had no issues, just the typical alterations needed. I wasn't part of the fitting process so not sure how those conversations went so that is still why I am giving 5 stars. My experience from beginning to end was amazing. From the knowledgeable and friendly staff to the quality of the dresses. I highly recommend this shop.

I was lucky enough to be paired with Christine for the Eddy K trunk show on Saturday and I found the bridal dress of my dreams. Christine was wonderful: she was not pushy, selected dresses based exactly off of what I told her I liked, and was very attentive. I recently lost a lot of weight and still am very self conscious: she was incredible when it came to ensuring that I did not feel funny about myself in any way, shape or form. I could not have asked for a better experience and I am head over heels in love with my gown. I simply cannot wait for it to come in!

Nella was super helpful and amazing when picking out my dress. My dress is by Pronovias. However, Mariella's did not carry any pronovias veils to match the dresses. I was given a veil by a different designer, and told that this was the best match. Thankfully I did not buy the veil from Mariella's, but went to the pronovias flagship store in NYC to buy the matching veil. My bridesmaids also ordered all of their dresses here. While the selection is great, the prices are very high. A lot of the girls gave their measurements and were called later by Mariella's to change their ordered size. When they received their dresses they did not fit, and Mariella's was not accepting any responsibility and therefore no refunds or exchanges. They are very odd when it comes to money-very demanding and have odd policies in place. They don't accept a check as a final payment, you can't try your dress on without paying first, and you get constant harassment emails to pay up when payment isn't even overdue! A couple of the girls had to buy a second dress (which was much less expensive) from somewhere else in the right size. Their alterations department however - Margie and Irene's- is ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. I had a sleeved top that was way too big and had to be completely remade. They went out of their way to fit me in, gave me private fittings and worked around my schedule. The top was all lace and the hours of work that went in to recreating the top is unbelievable. Thank you Margie and Irene for making my dress perfect !

Did not love this experience. Went in to get fitted for a bridesmaids dress for my best friends wedding. The woman fitting me insisted I go up a ridiculous size. For instance, I had tried on a size 8 that had fit me perfectly. The woman told me I needed a size 12. I compromised with her and said I would order a 10. She made me sign a paper saying it was going against her recommendation. Long story short, the 10 came in and I brought it to get altered because what do you know, I was swimming in it. When I brought it to the alterations place, the tailor asked me why I had ordered such a big size. Funny to think that they had wanted me to go up one more than that. Similar things happened to other girls in the bridal party. Other than that woman, the experience was great and the dresses were beautiful.

I was not impressed. When I was a bride to be years ago I went to Mariella Creations and was treated poorly by the sales associate that was assigned to me. She was very curt and disparaging to my budget of $2000; which I thought and still think is not something to balk at. Anyway, I left and ended up purchasing my wedding gown elsewhere. Fast forward, I was recently a bridesmaid and the dresses were purchased through Mariella's Creations. Thankfully this experience was better but I just was not impressed. The price of the dress was reasonable but alterations are not offered onsite. I live over 35 minutes from Mariella's so driving there just to get a bridesmaid dress without alterations was really inconvenient. I suggest brides find shops that either include alterations or at least offer them onsite.

My family and I have been going to Mariella's for years. I purchased all of my prom dresses here. My mom, sister and recently I have all purchased our wedding dresses here as well. I would give them more than five stars in regards to purchasing my wedding dress there. I told the stylist what I had in mind and she brought out the first dress and it was the dress I ultimately ended up going with. The appointment was very smooth and accommodating. I've recommended to several of my friends look for dresses to check them out. However when I brought my bridesmaids back to get bridesmaid dresses here I was very underwhelmed. I had scheduled a Saturday appointment many months in advanced, as many of my bridesmaids live out of state and you can't purchase a dress on their website. We showed up on time for our 2 PM appointment and the store was utter madness. I spoke with three separate people about the appointment while we waited. I finally asked if we should come back at a different time. They shuffled us upstairs. There was another bridal party in there who was well over their time. About 15 minutes into our appointment, another large bridal party who had shown up early was ushered upstairs. There was no room to move. Our belongings had no where to go. They shuffled 6 of my bridesmaids in and out of 2 dressing rooms. I was utterly disappointed and embarrassed for my girls because I had been raving the place up to them. The dresses also aren't cheap and their experience buying them was terrible. I understand that bridal dresses make them more money, but between my eight bridesmaids, we are spending almost the same amount as we did on my dress. I would HIGHLY recommend them for bridal dresses. But would recommend you get your bridesmaid dresses elsewhere.

I said "YES, to the dress" today thanks to the amazing customer service and attention to detail I received at Mariella's. Dora was my consultant and she was beyond phenomenal! She listened to what I was looking for, but she also showed me many different styles. The dress I ended up choosing was not what I had initially envisioned but it took my breath away. She was honest and incredibly knowledgeable. Mariella's is an absolutely gorgeous bridal salon and the service is top notch. I would recommend Mariella's to anyone looking for a wedding dress, bridesmaids dress or formalwear.

I got my wedding dress, alterations and wedding jewelry from Mariella's. Between their staff and Margie and Irene's alterations, my experience was delightful. Thank you to everyone!

I am the MOH for my best friend's wedding this August. We went to Mariella's to look for bridesmaids gowns for her wedding. The bride made an appointment for us to browse the gowns early on a Saturday afternoon and try some different options on. There were only three of us and her mother who came with us to determine the best options. From the moment we walked in, it was a zoo. First off, there were so many girls packed into the bridesmaids area upstairs that you could barely squeeze in to browse the hanging downs. One of the other bridesmaids and I had to share a dressing room because they simply did not have room to accommodate us (despite giving us an appointment). When we did pick gowns, we were in the rooms entirely by ourselves with no assistance to zip backs and clip to fit. One dress I tried on was so stretched out in the chest that my breasts were literally hanging out. I snatched the fabric enough to get an idea of how it should fit properly and I simply asked the employee we worked with to borrow a safety pin so I could even walk outside of the dressing room comfortably to show the bride. Not her or one girl in that entire building could locate ONE freaking safety pin. And even after they couldn't find one; she never did anything to help me and hold the gown so I could come out and show the bride! I ended up trying on a couple more because I was so eager to find anything and came across one decent gown. After we determined a style that fit us, the employee (who called herself the bridesmaid coordinator, or something) handed us all a card to complete. Nowhere to sit; nothing to write on. After the bride wrote her name down and spelled it out FIVE different times; this girl STILL couldn't spell is correctly. Then she went to organize the bridesmaids gowns for ordering and mixed up the other two girl's dresses. Had one of the girls not caught it in that moment; she would have placed an order for the wrong dress for BOTH of them without them even knowing! Disgusted, one of the other bridesmaids and myself decided to hold off on ordering. The sole bridesmaid that did want to put down her deposit and move forward was sent downstairs, pushing through the crowded room of bridesmaids and brides to get there. At the register, our bridesmaid went to hand her the receipt from upstairs and she was SO rudely told that the girl behind the register was "Busy" and "Would be a while" so she "Could browse the prom dresses for a while" in the meantime. We waited for 15 minutes. When our bridesmaid approached the register again to inquire about what was going on (no one else was standing there waiting), the girl behind the counter quickly snapped at her "THERE ARE PEOPLE IN FRONT OF YOU. YOU'LL NEED TO WAIT!" We were APPALLED at the service. I cannot believe that an establishment catering to brides would behave in such an unprofessional way. Not one solitary moment of that experience felt "special". The bride was horrified, her mother was embarrassed and all of us were disgusted. We all left and are taking our business elsewhere. If you plan to accommodate brides and bridal parties, maybe plan accordingly for appointments; not shove a bunch of girls into a room like a crowded pig pen and hope for the best. If people are trying on gowns; have clips and pins available for different sizing. And while anyone could understand a business being busy on a Saturday, service without the attitude will go a long way. I would highly suggest picking another girl to work behind the register. I always heard terrible things about Mariella's and in passing have never been impressed by their service even back when I prom-gown shopped there over a decade ago. If you want a lovely experience with your bridesmaid, truly pick anywhere else. Their pricing isn't even good to justify the horrible service.

I got a beautiful, floor-length Vera Wang dress for a formal event at Mariella's Attic (on the second floor). I think I paid about $150 with tax. It's mostly self-service, and it seemed that most of the gowns were in sample sizes (2-10). There were a variety of styles and colors available. There were wedding gowns too, but I wasn't in the market for them, so I didn't look at them too much. Bottom line: I will definitely go here again if I need another formal dress.

I went in today with no appointment looking for a bridal gown after previously going to another salon in oakville and being treated poorly. The woman at the front desk was absolutely amazing and set me up with Jenny to look at gowns. My wait was less than 10 minutes. After being brought upstairs to the gallery Jenny asked me what I was looking for, and as undecided as I was, did the most amazing job helping me try on gowns. After about 10 gowns she helped me narrow down the style I was looking for, all the while making me feel completely beautiful. Although I did not purchase today I will absolutely be back to buy my gown through them. The service was amazing, timely, and all the employees were extremely considerate of my needs. If you'd like to feel pampered and comfortable in your search I would highly recommend this salon.

I got married almost 3.5 years ago, but in talking to a few people recently about wedding dresses, I realized I really should write a review of Mariella's. At least in my circle of friends, Mariella's comes highly recommended and is well regarded for their large selection of high quality gowns, and great service. A lot of my friends got married before I did, and having traipsed around from bridal shop to bridal shop with them, I was completely disinterested in a similar search when it came to looking for my own gown. I was engaged in December and planned to marry in August of the following year, so didn't have time to mess around. I went straight to Mariella's and hoped to find my gown there. I was not disappointed! Nella was the consultant I worked with at the time, and she was wonderful. I went in a confused bride to be, with absolutely zero vision as to what I was looking for. She asked me a few questions about my style, the wedding venue, etc, and pulled a few dresses for me. I really didn't like any of them, but she encouraged me to be open minded...what did I have to lose? The alternative being having to sift through 100's of dresses on my own...my open mind and I headed into the dressing room. It was maybe the 4th or 5th dress I tried on...that was it. Perfect and flowing for my oceanfront, outdoor, summer ceremony. Nella, my friend and I all agreed that was the one, and the search ended there, it was one of the easiest experiences of my life! I originally didn't think I wanted a veil, but she brought a very simple one and I was won over. Their experience and ability to read people quickly helps make great matches for brides and their dresses and veils. Trust them, and let them help you...you won't be sorry! I opted for a dress that had to be custom made for my height. Even though I waited until February to pick it out, they made sure it was ready in July for fitting prior to my early August wedding. I had an issue at a fitting with the way they had bustled the dress and I was nearly in tears, and Mariella overheard me and came into my fitting room herself and helped the seamstress figure out a better way to work the bustle so that the ruffles fell more naturally. Mariella could have just walked by, but she obviously was concerned and wanted me to be 100% happy with my dress. It was perfect at that point and I truly appreciated the above and beyond service. Every bride to be has to make the decision between ease/convenience and price. Based on my tight timeframe and disinterest in running around to multiple stores, I purchased my dress, veil, sash for my dress, and undergarments all at Mariella's. With the alterations and tax, I spent just about $2,000 total, with the price of my actual dress being $1,200 (which didn't seem terrible for being custom made). Could I have gotten it cheaper? Maybe. But for me, the experience was incredibly easy and quick, and that was more important to me. I am happy that I opted for a boutique that was more full service and had the experience to match me with the perfect dress, and address issues when they arose. I highly recommend Mariella's for all your bridal needs!!

I see that the reviews are all over the place! For me I loved that I found the wedding dress of my dreams. Someone said they had to wait a long time even though they had an appointment. That's too bad, but I can't say my experience was like that thankfully. I posted a pic of the dress I picked. It's got one strap and beautiful flowers on the bodice... ahhhhhh :) Pros: Nella, my sales associate was super awesome Great dress selection Wedding dress prices could meet my budget (under 2000) They carry Pronovias... that was my dress band! Cons: Def make an appointment The place is wicked busy on Saturday! My sales associate was in a rush to rip dresses on and off of me... but she was so sweet and nice... they are just soooo busy there Bottom Line: Make an appointment if you want to try on wedding dresses. They have a nice selection :)

It was 6 months before my wedding in May, so I was researching wedding dresses online. I thought it odd that this company has a website with pictures of their dresses, but you cannot order online. So I made an appointment and sent in style #s that I was interested in. Stock was low after Covid, so there weren't too many in my size. Long story short, I had to order one in my size. Surprise #2 was that it became a special order, even though the store didn't have my size, and there was a contract to sign that obligated me to the dress no matter what. I ended up getting another dress online, because I didn't recall getting an email that it came in and was concerned about the amount of time needed to do alterations. That was after returning 3 other dresses that I ordered online without any problems. The store insisted that I purchase the dress anyway when I called after the wedding, which I did. It will make a nice donation for a bride less fortunate than I am. Bottom line is, why would you sign a contract that does not allow a return for a size dress you never tried on? My advice is to order online with an option to return, unworn with tags! It was an expensive lesson for me....

This was my fourth stop looking for a wedding dress. And they hit it out of the park. They pulled so many different styles of dresses for me trying to please me, my mother, and my sister. No small feat. I eventually described I dress I made up in my head, combining a bunch of different things from different dresses...and they had it! The perfect dress! My mom and sister actually agreed for on something for once! They were patient, kind, and so supportive! We all left with happy tears in our eyes!

Stopped by Saturday on my way to an appt. at a different bridal shop to check out the attic, which I had read about online. We had even found an undated blog post about Black Friday sales being $400 for all dresses, but we realized it was older so didn't get our hopes up. The selection of designer dresses at crazy prices was great, as was the service! We expected no help, being in the "attic," and trying on discontinued samples, but Mary was super helpful (putting us in a bigger dressing room, giving us feedback and advice, answering a million questions about alterations - running up and down the stairs to get answers). My crew and I went through the racks and pulled about 10 dresses that looked appealing. I thought I loved the first one, but the second to last was the one I fell for. I ended up getting my dream dress (a $1400 2013 Sottero and Midgley) for $300! Then we started looking through the other racks and I found another dress (to wear as a guest at another wedding) that was $250 marked down to $25. I should also note that that while we were in the fitting room, the group next to us inquired about the $400 deal, and they were told there were no deals running but since they found that post, they would work to get the price down on a dress she was trying on. We loved Mariella's so much that my bridesmaids plan on buying there, and we would recommend it to anyone!

The customer service here was excellent! They were glad to help me out with dresses and their price's were reasonable. I love this place 10 out of 10 would go again and their service was great!!!

On a recommendation from my best friend who bought her dress here, her mom's dress, and 7 of her bridesmaid dresses (mine included), I decided to make and appointment at Mariella's. I live in Seattle and was home for the week to do wedding stuff, I called ahead of time and made the appointment here. I wear a size 16 and knew that I only wanted to go to salon's that I knew would carry dresses that would fit me. I was assured on the phone that they carry dresses in sizes 16 and up (I will add that this question baffled the receptionist, should have been my first red flag). Upon arriving at Mariella's we were brought upstairs by our bridal consultant- Cathy. She brought us into a room and got my information. She then asked to see any pictures that I had for what I envisioned. I knew that I wanted a very form fitting, mermaid style with a lace overlay and minimal sparkles. Not ONCE did Cathy ask me what size I wore, she left the room and came back with some dresses. I went behind this partition and Cathy stood with her back to me literally speaking to the dresses. She did not speak to me or my family/friends. She handed me a dress that I knew was not going to fit me and told me to put it on and she would help me with the zipper. I couldn't get it past my knees, so I told her and she says "oh that is a size 6". So I then said "No problem, just so you know I wear a size 16". I tried on a dress that did fit but it was not the style that I wanted at all. She then said oh that is very "flattering" on you- because I don't know about you, but that's 100% what I want to hear in my wedding gown... She then said Oh! A veil! I said- oh no thank you, I'm not wearing a veil, she said "Yes!" and literally put it on my head...... Fast forward to another dress (the 3rd and last) and this one was a bit loose at the bottom. I asked her if she could clip it around my thighs so that I could see what the dress would look like in a true trumpet style and she said no, I said ok can you hold it for me so that I could just see how this style would look. She stood there and refused to hold it. My sister had to get up and hold the dress, Cathy literally stood there and watched. I took that dress off and she handed me another dress, another size 6 and I said- "I know this won't fit, no thank you". To which she said "hold it in front of you so you can get the look" ????????????? I said- "no thank you I would never purchase a dress I can't try on." At this point my best friend who also purchased her dress at Mariella's said "Can we go through the closet to see the dresses" Carol said "No. I pulled all the dresses that would fit her". So basically you're telling me that Mariella's has 3 dresses above a size 12. Complete and utter waste of my time. Carol left the room and I requested that we leave. Carol then said "I hope I gave you a great start to your experience". This could not be further from the truth. I am appalled and disgusted at the service at Mariella's and I cannot believe that Carol is employed by Mariella. My best friend called and complained to the store, saying she was embarrassed to have recommended me to this store, and that the service was the complete opposite to what she experienced. Mariella called me the next day to talk about what had happened. She was very pleasant and very apologetic, however that does not erase what happened at this store. Brides be ware- I would not go to this store. As nice as Mariella was on the phone, I would not risk the attitude of the bridal consultant. This is a shame for many reasons, but especially because options are so limited in the area. On a side note- I then went to Bridal Corner, who has terrible reviews on here, and had the BEST experience. I would recommend them to anyone- but especially to those brides in a size 16 or up- they had SO MANY dresses in SO MANY different styles. Ask for Pam as your consultant. She was truly the best!!! It could not have been a more different experience to the one that I had at Mariella's.

I really, really hate most wedding stuff - especially anything where I'm fawned over, hence why I couldn't deal with teary eyed family members during the dress shopping process and blissfully bought my dress off the rack at Mariella's sample size 'attic' section a year and a half ago. So, this totally lovely dress has been sitting in my closet for a while and today was the first time I saw it fit like it was actually supposed to. All of the employees I dealt with in Mariella's alterations department were just so wonderful. Amazingly efficient, completely professional, and just all around pleasant. Plus, alterations cost me a few hundred less than I anticipated. I've been recommending this place to engaged friends for years, way before I got engaged (thanks to some great experiences at other friends' gown fittings/shopping), and I'm so happy to be working with them for my own wedding. Can't complain about a thing.

Mariella will ruin your wedding experience. Nobody should support someone who treats customers as poorly as Mariella does. Her business practices are borderline illegal and unethical. If I could give her 0 stars I would. Update- Mariella just proved below that she does not own up to her downfalls. If she read the comments left by other yelpers she would see the reviews are similar, especially the reviews with 1 star. Mariella was informed of the unsatisfactory visit yet was extremely rude and put down her customer, again not owning up to her downfall. The "Best Of Award" isn't a clear representation of how YOU treat every customer. Again read the reviews below, I'm not the only unhappy customer there are MANY more. I have no interest calling you, the damage has been done. My resolution was to take to yelp, keep everything transparent and in the open, which I'm glad I did because you came through and showed your true colors for everyone to see. What you said and did is most likely the way you will continue to do business and you will most likely try to point back to 42 years of operating the way you have... Just keep in mind the way you treat everyone coming through the door, they might just one day speak the truth in a yelp review. You need to take a lesson from Stew Leonard- 1. The customer is ALWAYS right 2. The customer is ALWAYS right

Definitely felt rushed through the process, I was given a few dresses to try on & I only liked one out of the 4 or 5. It was my first time trying wedding dresses so it was disappointing, and I don't think I would return to buy from them!

Future brides: here's some advice. Go to a boutique like this place, try on some dresses, and narrow in on the one you want. Then write down the manufacturer and style number. Don't commit to buying the dress in the store that day. Go home, look up the dress online, and call a bunch of places to see who has it cheaper. I feel a little bad about writing this here, but the staff at Mariella's is totally pushy, like car salesmen, so it's kind of fair. As soon as I told the lady helping me that I didn't want to order the dress that day, she disappeared and ignored me. I know they don't make a lot of money and work mostly for commissions, but that's no reason for bad customer service. It's a nice store with a decent selection, but I followed the method above and saved myself $100.

TERRIBLE service and the gowns are not well made!!! We arrived 15 minutes early and were asked by an older gentlemen who was 'manning' the cash register to wait downstairs because it was too congested upstairs and our sales person was still with her other client. FORTY-FIVE MINUTES LATER, we were still waiting! There was never a smile, greeting or acknowledgment nod from any sales consultant who walked by. My daughter finally asked the gentleman to check on our appointment so he went upstairs, came down and told us we can go up where we waited another 20 minutes! I have to say our sales person was very nice when we finally got to meet her and apologetic. Apparently, she was never informed of our arrival. Mariella's is completely unprofessional. The gowns are not well made for the price they (over) charge. There are a number of other bridal salons in CT offering better service and merchandise. I would never recommend that anyone go here to get their wedding dress. The selection is very "K-Mart" and this place is the equivalent of a Halloween costume pop-up store for bridal gowns.

This is always the bridal boutique I recommend to all my engaged friends in CT, not the cheapest place to go but definitely the best. This shop may look small from the outside but inside you will be pleasantly surprised at the selection of big name wedding gown designers. You may be happy to see the the attic selection of discounted wedding gowns like Lazaro at almost half the price, then again... how many times will you marry the love of your life. I've seen the prices from just 1500$ new gowns to well above 6Grand for those one of a kind type dresses you drool over and fold - in pages of bridal magazines. I've personally purchased my wedding dress here and was truly so happy with the service, fitting and overall experience. People may think this is just a bridal boutique with amazing bridesmaids dresses, but this is also the to go spot for prom dresses... Jovani ladies... truly the best. Also... If you look further you will find those one of a kind cocktail dresses and gowns. The key word here is one of a kind as I really haven't seen more than one beautiful piece at a time. Why is this so important? ... well there is just a couple of places that carry event dresses for those fundraisers you may attend in CT like nordstroms and main stream stores like cache so likely you will see about 4-5 other women wearing the same dress.. awkward. So if you want or need to stand out don't forget this place.

How this place does not have 5 star reviews across the board baffles me. Mariella's is the absolute best place to look for wedding dresses and dresses for your bridal party. When I was looking for wedding dresses 2 years ago, I went to David's bridal first. I had a horrible experience- the women told me that I was "too big" to try on some of the dresses that I wanted, so she just pulled dresses that she thought would be good for my body type. Let me just say- at that time I was 190lbs and a size 12 (Size 16 bridal). The woman at David's made me feel like a cow and I ended up leaving there feeling extremely depressed. I resigned that I would not try on wedding dresses until I lost weight- because it seemed that I wouldn't be able to try anything that I liked on. Well- my sister convinced me to go to Mariella's. I was nervous after my experience at David's, but the staff at Mariella's was incredible. They woman I worked with, Kate, let me pick any dress that I wanted. She said they would make any dress work on my body type. She ended up pulling 40 dresses for me (literally!), but I only tried on 15 or so. I found my wedding dress that day. The entire staff at Mariella's were friendly and just a pleasure to work with. Also, their selection is HUGE and reasonably priced. I send all my brides-to-be friends there!

I came in to my appointment with multiple photos of Pronovais dresses (which they are one of the only stores in the area that carry them) to show the style I like. At the end of the appointment, when I was not shown anything similar I asked if they were out of my price range (I had a 4,000 limit). I was told they were in my price range... but they don't carry anything similar to those styles. Why didn't they tell me that in the beginning? I told the sales woman at the beginning that I would like an A-Line or Ballgown, and the she told me that an A-Line dress was being "safe" and that someone my size can wear other 'form fitting' styles (even though that would make me feel extremely uncomfortable). I specifically said in the beginning of the appointment that I would not wear a mermaid style.... and she insisted I try one on, wasting my time. Honestly, I want to be comfortable on my wedding day and not self conscious. Basically, they had plenty of dresses within my price range, just absolutely nothing in my style. Everything had a ton of "bling" or was lacy. They did not show me one dress that I would even consider wearing for my wedding. I felt like they were trying to push other styles/options on me just because they didn't have anything near what I described. She waited until we left to tell us they were starting to get new styles in for the year.... not sure if I will go back to see those "new" styles.

I came to Mariella Creations when I began searching for my wedding dress because they carried Lazaro dresses. They paired me with Dora and she was beyond amazing! She listened to everything I wanted for my wedding and my dress and she even had me try on what I wasn't looking for so that I could be sure. Ultimately the dress I bought was her pick for me and not my original first choice, but when she put it on me it was like it was made for me and fulfilled the vision I had for myself on my wedding day. Their alterations department was so amazing and helpful and they catered to my schedule and needs. Cannot say enough good things about this store!

I had such an amazing experience here! I'm not at all into dresses and had definitely been procrastinating, but as soon as I walked into the door, I felt so welcomed by everyone. Kathy was absolutely amazing! I only had to try on two gowns before she immediately knew what I did and did not like. She helped me pick out the perfect dress to go with my style and body type. She really listened to me and was able to make a vision come true. I also loved that she never once rushed me and was so comforting and helpful, even when I was indecisive! Mariella came to take final measurements and was very sweet and answered all of our questions. The whole experience was just so intimate and I felt like I had a personal stylist. So different than other big chain stores that I had been to. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a wedding dress!

My husband and I got married last May and I want to express my gratitute to Mariella and Dora for helping me find the dress of my dreams. Everyone at Mariella's was generous, helpful and understanding of what I had envisioned my wedding party to look like. They were kind, punctual and knowledgable with their dresses, shoes, accessories, and jewelry. A year later, I still get compliments on my dress, especially my shrug. Everyone told me how they loved my dress because it was different and unique in every way. I was looking for something that no one has ever seen before and not have the same style as every other bride. I wanted something that would make a statement and it sure did! For anyone who is looking for a dress for any occasion, I highly recommend going to Mariella Creations!! They have so many styles to chose from and they accommodate your needs (i.e, body shape and size). Again, thank you Mariella and Dora for assisting me in finding the dress of my dreams and I hope to return for a dress for another party!!!

Stopped in here after reading other reviews on yelp. We ended up only looking in Mariella's Attic without booking an appointment and were pleasantly surprised by some of the prices and quality of the dresses. They definitely had the Midas touch feel of service and I will definitely be back when the time comes to urilize them as one of the final stores.

We went in this afternoon and worked with Dora. She was outstanding!!! Tried on about 16 dresses, after every 4 or so Dora would listen to the feedback and come back with some great choices. I found the dress of my dreams. (After pinning on Pinterest for years I hadn't looked in a while. After we bought the dress I looked and realized I got exactly what I had been Pinning for so long!) Thank you Dora for making it easy, providing great feedback. Price was very affordable too.

Nella was fantastic! My bridal dress appointment went seemlessly and I only had to try on 3 dresses to find the 'one!' I showed Nella a few pictures and she hit the nail on the head with what I wanted. Bridesmaids were after me they took us early and the girls had picked some dresses out but after talking with the consultant she picked a few out and we ended up all loving one of the dresses she had picked! Great location very friendly, one on one help and great quality and selection!

My sister highly recommended Mariella, since two of her friends ended up getting their wedding dresses here. I am highly leery of wedding dress shopping in NYC so I took advantage of the opportunity to shop in the 'burbs with my family. Though I didn't end up getting my dress here, I enjoyed the shopping experience for the most part. My bridal consultant, Sonia, was such a doll - she was attentive, patient, and only pulled dresses that were within my price range. They let you take pictures, which isn't usually allowed at smaller bridal boutiques. The one thing I found annoying is that the only samples they have on hand are sizes 10 & 12, and though they clamp them to the best of their ability, I found it really hard to tell what it would look like in my size. That being said, they have a lot of terrific names like Maggie Sottero (my personal favorite), and I got to try on a ton of dresses that fit my $1,500 budget.

I visited Mariella with my mother and mother-in-law during their search for dresses to wear to our wedding. Though neither of them ended up buying a dress from Mariella, I wanted to write a review nonetheless, since we received great service and the experience was enjoyable. We had a dedicated saleswoman, who was very helpful and gave both Moms advice regarding dress length, fabric, color, etc. The special occasion dress selection is fairly large (I can't speak to wedding dresses, since I didn't purchase mine there), and my mother and mother-in-law were also able to look at some of the more formal bridesmaid dresses. Our saleswoman was good about bringing dresses to the Moms that she thought they might like, and asking and answering questions.

I came to Mariella because they were the only store in the tri-state area that sells the dress I wanted to try on. I had a lovely experience! I booked the first appt of the day on a Thursday, which helped with not feeling rushed. Jessica, the salesperson I had, knew what she was talking about & was delightful. I didn't feel pressured or rushed (again, first appt of the day on a weekday helped). I ended up buying my dress from them - the dress I had come to try on, as it happened. I don't know what the other reviewers experiences were like, but I went in knowing what I was looking for (and what I was NOT looking for), & had a great experience! I do agree that you need to be aware of what the dress costs - she did have me try on a couple that were out of my budget, which I took right off. But overall, everyone was very nice, & the store itself is very cute.

I loved my experience today at Mariella Creations. Nella was my consultant. She was very easy to work with. After showing her some pictures and talking through my preferences, she came back with 4 dresses. She listened to my feedback and even found a gorgeous veil for me to try on with my dress. The whole experience was very warm & friendly. I didn't feel rushed or pressured. After selecting my gown, my mom decided to look for mother of the bride dresses. We found a few & she tried them on. The consultant (and I don't remember her name) selected a fabulous dress for my mother that did not make her look old or matronly. Jewelry was also selected. My mom loved her dress & she bought it right there. We also looked at bridesmaid dresses. My sister in law tried on a dress, liked it but didn't love it. Mary, the consultant, found a dark navy lace dress that looked incredible on my sister in law-classy, simple yet fun. Mariella did the measurements and we bought the bridesmaid dress as well. I found all of the prices to be reasonable-my gown is $1200, the bridesmaid dress was about $175 and my mom's dress was around $300. My mom & sister in law received a 10% discount on their dresses because I bought my gown there. My groom & his guys will also receive a discount on their tuxes if they go to Antonio's. I loved my experience there today & would highly recommend Mariella Creations for selection, customer service & pricing.

I have a bridal party of 10 with one bridesmaid who recently gave birth and the Maid of Honor found out she was pregnant a few weeks after we placed the order for the dresses. With anxieties high, Mariella and Christina completely put us at ease. They worked with us to find a dress to work an 8month pregnant MOH, that not only worked with the other dresses but also made her feel comfortable! These are the type of people you want to go see for your wedding parties attire!

I can't put into words just how wonderful my experience shopping for a wedding dress was. My consultant, Nella was the sweetest, most professional and kind hearted person I could have asked for. This was my first time trying on wedding dresses and I was a little nervous. I came into the store with my mom and sister and she took all of our thoughts into account. Her positive spirt and speedy service put us all at ease. I left with the wedding dress of my dreams and I couldn't have asked for a nicer person to help us out.

I am so thankful to have had such an incredible experience finding my wedding gown here. I have heard horror stories! These consultants know exactly what they are doing, what you look good in and what you are comfortable with. Everyone is so friendly (but not pushy and don't tell you look good when you don't lol). Just an overall 10/10 experience and I could not recommend making this your first stop for bridal shopping!! Can't thank these ladies enough.

I realize I never wrote a review for this shop after I visited in 2014, probably because I was so upset and discouraged after my trip here. Wedding dress shopping is a stressful experience and this shop made it so much worse. They do not have many sample dresses in average sizes (I am a size 10 and everything was too tight), they brought dresses in that were out of my price range and didn't tell me until after it was on me, and then the woman had the nerve to tell me "you know, most women try to lose weight before their wedding" when I said how one dress looked too tight. Seriously? Calling the bride fat? I have no idea why anyone would choose this place.
