Marie's Restaurant

Marie's is a casual Itialian restaurant with your typical Italian fare of pasta dishes, pizzas, and sandwiches. They also offer chicken dinners. We arrived close to opening, so there was no issue with getting seated. Our server was friendly and efficient. I had the Italian sub sandwich. It had a fair amount of meat, and I thought it was tasty. My wife had the shrimp scampi. She said it needed a bit more garlic, but the shrimp were cooked well. Meals came with garlic bread and marinara. The prices are quite reasonable.

Garlic bread was a great start. Wings were really good. Pizza was a little burnt but was still good with a lot of toppings.

Same great pizza. Never had a problem with Marie’s pizza. Always good cheese and toppings. I’ve been a loyal customer since the 1970’s.

Some of the best Italian food I have had. It easily rivals what I had in Little Italy in NY. Yes it really is that good. I was hoping for something decent and was floored. And the service matches the food. You are treated like family. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. It certainly surpassed my expectations happily. Will be returning. The only downside is that they don't open till 4.

Second time here and the second time I left disappointed. The food: We both absolutely love a good pizza and were disappointed with the pizza on our last visit. Everyone has an off day and we thought this may have held true. But, nonetheless we were disappointed once again. Our go to order is a pepperoni, mushroom, and sausage. A “PMS” as we like to call it. The pizza looked promising upon delivery. Although there were a few areas bordering on slightly over cooked. Initial impression upon first bite: so so crust, bland cheese, rubbery mushrooms, average pepperoni & sausage. The sauce was flavorful. In fact it seemed to be about the only thing favorable on the pizza. The service: our waiter was very attentive. He checked on us frequently and never had us asking for anything. His service was honestly the highlight of our visit. The atmosphere: the dining room looks outdated. Both seats of our booth were lumpy and sank to the center. Both menus (bound like a spiral notebook) were about 1/3 of way separated/loose on the binding. Overall opinion: an average pizza and rather limited menu for an Italian restaurant.

Friendly and efficient staff. Great food at a great price! Every night has been a great night to go to Marie’s. Monday-Wednesday they have specials. The staff is always incredibly friendly.

Service was beyond great. It seemed like the whole staff worked in harmony & enjoyed working together. Atmosphere is homey & comfy. I ate alone and enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, although I thought the amount of toppings was perfect for my taste, the dough was tough. I got the impression looking at other photos, that yesterday's crust isn't Marie's norm. That's why I posted the pic. I think you can see that this is a tough, gluey dough.

Food is always great here and we visit once a month or so. Definitely get the gourmet bread for an appetizer. It's amazing! I've always had good service here by the wait staff but sometimes front reception is distracted, disinterested or maybe disgruntled? Not sure of exact cause but it had never stopped me from visiting. Just a small area that could use some improvement.
