Marigold Bed & Breakfast

Great b&b in Halifax. Last minute reso taken without any issue. Joan was very lovely and provided some great conversation. She made some of the best blueberry muffins I have ever had in the morning along with a nice hearty breakfast. House is old so don't expect anything fancy but great character.

We were there 3 nights in the king bed room. Joan make us feel like we were visiting relatives. Very generous and well prepared breakfast. She asked us what we wanted. A late evening snack ( tea, coffee, cake,cookies...) was also offer to us. Quiet neighborhood and very clean B & B. Near all the major attractions downtown. Ask the owner, she knows her city.

We stayed in the King bed and it was very comfy. Joan was very accommodating and informative of the area. 15 to 20 min walk to the downtown area. With a nice walk through the park. Joan made an amazing breakfast and muffins. All for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Joan is the most generous and ethical person I met in my whole life.She treats everyone kindly. I was a guest in her b&b several years ago and really enjoyed the stay.

2023Jun17 - Just received a call back from Joan Doherty. She is no longer running this Bed & Breakfast.

First-time experience at a B & B and it was amazing! The service really made it feel like a home: I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Quaint, friendly and so Maritimes in an authentic way.
