Don’t let the name or exterior fool you—this place is an absolute hidden gem! Hands down some of the best food I’ve had in Colorado Springs in a long time. Every bite was packed with flavor and felt like a fine dining experience. I’m honestly feeling lucky to have stumbled across it! The only reason it’s not a perfect five stars is the service—it could definitely be stepped up to match the quality of the food. But overall, absolutely worth a visit!

I can't say enough good things about Marigolds. We went last night for our anniversary and the food and service were awesome. Danny was very attentive and went over and above with providing recommendations and just the extra touch that an excellent waiter can provide. Thank you so much for such an excellent evening. We'll be back and a lot sooner than our last visit. The French Onion soup tastes the best and I highly recommend it.

Loved this place. Everything was fantastic. The lunch menu is diverse and competitively priced with my Wife and I opting for the sandwiches and my kids the grilled cheese sandwiches. My grilled chicken was amazing with oozy Brie, crisp succulent chicken salad and beautiful homemade bread - Honestly one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. My Wife gave similar feedback on the BLT and the kids were very happy with their choice! Our server was awesome! Attentive, happy and made the lunch from a good experience to a great experience (sorry forgot her name!). We also bought a loaf of their sourdough which we are currently enjoying. We’ll be back and would love to try their dinner menu which looks incredible.

Wow ! This is the best restaurant I have been to in a long time ! I am in the service industry and let me just say, Gus, who owns the place is Amaizing ! Really takes care of the locals and really took care of us because we came back after I did the trail run today. Danny, our server, was awesome and attentive. The drinks, food, everything- exceptional. I can see why this place is so popular- the desserts and bakery are also amazing and the hostess was a super accommodating as well !

I have NEVER experienced better service than I did tonight at Marigolds. The food was absolutely incredible— the owner blessed us beyond belief. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Still in awe of how wonderful everything was. Highly, highly recommended! Well done, Marigolds— we will be back!

This place was absolutely amazing! Loved the food and the brownie cheesecake was phenomenal! I have to say though, their food is evenly matched by the quality of their service. Our server Lauren checked in multiple times, ensured we were satisfied at every point and made our visit special. Gus (I assume the manager) checked in on us as well and was extremely friendly! I can’t say enough about this place and I can’t wait to return!

I got my birthday cake here after so many people recommended this bakery. It was probably the best cake I've had in Colorado. It was super moist, not too sweet, and so light. The mousse was delicious. It was $60 for a 12 person Black Forest cake. They also spelled my name right!!! That's something that has never happened so far in the U.S. I will definitely come back for more birthday cakes, and we might try to eat here too!

I have never eaten alone before. My social anxiety is REAL. I’ve been going through a lot and wanted to test myself so I stopped in here to eat alone. From the moment I walked in I was treated like royalty. Doug, maybe the owner? Not sure but he came over and asked if he could bring me something special, if I had any allergies, then brought me what appeared to be a Caprese salad with two HUGE shrimp. It was amazing! I ordered a special from the menu, AMAZING! My waitress then asked if I wanted to see the dessert menu, oh Laura I couldn’t possibly! She came back a few minutes later and INSISTED I pick a dessert, it was compliments of the house…..AGAIN. I told her to surprise me and she boxed me up a piece of raspberry cheesecake! Laura was so amazing I felt compelled to tell her my story which made her extremely happy that she made my experience so wonderful! I even got a cherished side hug. I am now not afraid to eat alone! And they have gained a customer FOR LIFE! Doug and Laura you are truly some wonderful people and thank you for making my experience UNFORGETTABLE!

Marigold Cafe has become one of our favorite go to places for lunch on Fridays. I can't say enough about this restaurant. The service is ALWAYS amazing and the staff is incredibly welcoming. We love seeing Leighton when we visit, he always greets us with a smile and of course Emilio who is our preferred and favorite server. As for the food, I can't name one thing that I love because everything we've had has always been delicious. The clam chowder is always a must on Fridays and the desserts are amazing! Love this place. If you haven't tried Marigold Cafe, I highly recommend this place, it will not disappoint!

COS has so many wonderful eateries and if you come to visit this beautiful town and you don't stop here, you're really missing out. Marigold's is one of my favorite restaurants...We ordered takeout for my birthday dinner since we had to stay home to take care of my mother in-law who was in Hospice care. This was her favorite restaurant too. She planned my a rehearsal dinner here for my wedding years ago, so Marigold's will always have a special place in our heart. If you want to splurge and want the most delicious juicy steak, order the Filet Mignon. OMG it was big enough for leftovers. It was cooked to perfection and I ordered some mashed potatoes and grilled veggies to accompany the dish. According to Mr. G, who ordered the Beef Bourginon, he preferred my dish over his (but it's kinda hard to beat Filet Mignon). We had the most delicious crab cakes, a slice of yummy strawberry cake and their seasonal pumpkin cheesecake, which was out of this world. We had some wonderful wine at home and some cute little candles to top my little slice of cake. It was the best birthday dinner ever, and sadly the last one I would spend with my mother in law. Thank you Marigolds for your delicious memorable food and your super sweet service.

Went to Marigold just by chance. We were staying close by and after a full day of travel wanted to catch a light dinner. Behold, we were two blocks away. To our amazement, the parking lot was jammed. We walked in the front door and the place was very busy. Luckily, they had had a spot for two. You could help notice the bakery goods in the counter as you entered. Excellent selection. We shared the carrot cake, but every item in the case looked terrific. Again, we were looking for a light dinner, but as we watched everything coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. We decided to start with the crab cake appetizer, two golf ball sized cakes loaded with crab - no filler, and accompanied by a nice aioli. Might have been the best crab cakes we've ever had. We both went for the soup and salad combo. Wifey had clam chowder and the garden salad. The chowder contained large pieces of vegetables and good sized clams. The garden salad was modest sized but contained several fresh veggies. I went with French onion soup and the garden salad. French onion soup had submerged croutons and large portion of melted of cheese, and I mean a large portion. The soup servings were generous and served "hot" just the way we like it. Some observations ... get a reservation. The place is popular. The staff is excellent, friendly and very active. The owner is on the floor constantly interacting with staff and patrons. I wouldn't say that he monitored every dish coming out of the kitchen, but he was certainly on top of his game. Lastly, bring your wallet. The product is high quality and it commands top dollar for a cafe. Highly recommend without any reservations. We were very surprised with our evening because we just happed to be in the area. If we lived in Colorado Springs it would be one of our go to places.

First time and it was amazing. High quality and amazing service. Everyone is super nice and helpful. The food was amazing. The fettuccine jambalaya was die for, the best onion soup. The bakery is amazing. Eclair and coconut cake is superb. We will be back. Natasha was the best waitress.

I ordered a slice of the Carrot cake. It was very delish! Eva was my server. Eva welcomed me as soon as she saw me walk in the door. Great service! I drove here an hour to have lunch. But unfortunately, I got here too late! Lunch is from 11:00 am - 2:30 pm. And dinner is 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm. I decided to stay just to have dessert and soda water since I've already driven an hour. My server Eva was very kind and courteous that it was worth the wait for dinner time. I love the atmosphere here. Thank you Eva for making me feel welcomed! Kudos to Eva!!

What a delightful spot! Upon entry, I was greeted by a very welcoming hostess. Eli was my server and he recommended the filet medallions special. I went for it. The food was delicious! The owner came by as well to check in and make sure everything was great. If I ever come back to Colorado Springs, I will absolutely be back here!

Food and service is phenomenal. Lindsey was our waitress, she was terrific! Gus, the owner is the best! We had oysters and they were out of this world. I had the Beef Bourguignon so tender, was outstanding! My wife had the Lobster Bisque, it to was delicious! And the desserts, my God! Hands down the best restaurant in town!

We held a surprise baby shower here this week and the restaurant was so accommodating to our group and the mom to be! The food was amazing, especially the scalloped potatoes! Wow! Thank you to our waitress and especially Gus for all the extras and the beautiful desserts to go! He really made the event special, even down to helping carry out the baby gifts! We'll be back Gus :) Thanks again!

This place is a gem! Excellent food and service! The service from the owner to the waitresses is always first rate. We ordered the swordfish and it was great followed by the raspberry cheesecake which is always the best. Place was hopping for a Thursday night which a testament to the quality of food and service!

Service was quick, talkative, and kind. Definitely a treat to eat here! Very clean, and smelled good.

Stop by here for some dessert after dinner. Right when you walk in at the left-hand side, you'll see a dessert stand of at least 10+ desserts. We had an individual that was very helpful in helping us decide but it almost made it hard to choose since there there were so many good dessert to choose from. Ended up getting the fresh fruit tart and the triple chocolate mousse cake. The chocolate cake delicious and addicting all the flavors worked very well together. It wasn't too sweet which I liked. The fruit tart is a good recommendation for non-chocolate lovers. The fruit on top was very fresh and paired well with the almond butter pastry.

We finally made it to Marigold. We had heard so much about them. You definitely need to make a reservation. The shrimp Remolade was absolutely amazing. Large and crispy shrimp with a sauce to dip in that is so tasty. Never thought I'd want one that wasn't tomato base. The salmon roulade was also good though I may try something different next time. My husband got the fettuccine jambalaya. Tasty but he couldn't find any shrimp or andouille in it. Just chicken. Disappointing. It was quiet enough to hold a conversation with friends. We may return

The bakery is one of the best in the city. The quality is exceptional as is the selection. And always fresh.

I simply don't know where to begin. We came to COS as part of a 10-year birthday celebration with our granddaughter, staying nearby at Glen Eyrie Castle. I had spent time preparing our itinerary in advance and read the really positive reviews for the Marigold Cafe & Bakery, so I made reservations ~3 weeks in advance. Before heading over to the restaurant I read through the reviews again looking for food-favorites; I was a little surprised to see those who spoke very underwhelmingly given the overall high score and the otherwise very positive reviews. After our experience tonight, I really can't understand why anyone wouldn't love this place!! The food was very good - the complimentary fruit cup and $2 bill for my granddaughter (delivered by Gus, the owners father), the oysters, the complimentary Caprese salad, the amazing French bread, the French fries, the butterfly shrimp w/ voodoo sauce, our shrimp & scallops w/ asparagus on risotto main dish, the chocolate eclair, the Neapolitan, the Frasier, the raspberry cheesecake and the crème brûlée (yes, we took some dessert home). But even better than the food was the over-the-top friendly and attentive service by our server Isabella and by Gus. Gus admitted he is not a restaurant expert, but rather a people-person, and that he was - we couldn't have asked for more kindness than he showed to us and particularly our granddaughter. I'm 60 years old and have eaten at many establishments across the g;lobe, but I have never had a better experience than the one we had tonight! If I could give more stars, the Marigold Cafe would get a 10+-star review.

Not to be dramatic, but this place is more than a restaurant. The owner Gus makes everyone feel like a VIP and that culture extends to the staff. Almost everyone who comes here seems to be a regular because once you go once you will definitely be back. The food, the drinks never disappoint and they always have new specials. I never see anything out of place and it is always extremely clean. This is a perfect bet for out of town family or a business lunch or dinner. I love it here!

Service is excellent. Everything is clean. And most importantly, the food is delicious. Clam chowder, French onion soup, and the calamari for apps is a must. Beef Bourguignon melts in your mouth. We asked about it and they said they start cooking it early am. Jambalaya pasta and the mussel and clam pasta is delicious. The kids menu is great too. For dessert, we had the Frasier and the triple chocolate mousse cake, so good. And my favorite is the pumpkin cheesecake. They said it was seasonal. And did I say that service is excellent?!

Marigold's food is always up to par regardless of what we order. Service is excellent and deserts are beautiful. One of my favorites in town.

I had a lovely dinner at Marigolds last night. My friend and I both had the special: A bacon wrapped Filet with shrimp and seasonal vegetables. The Filet, perfectly cooked in a well matched basalmic reduction, was absolutely delicious! The veggies weren't just a colorful obligatory pairing either -I don't always enjoy eating vegetables, but I loved these! Dessert, well, you can't go wrong here. I ordered the Chocolate Mousse, and my friend ordered the Franklin. Gus also insisted we try the Napoleon (not pictured), and thanks to him, I might have a new favorite dessert of all time. It's amazing -very light and fresh, the smoothness of Tiramisu, but with the taste familiarity of a canoli. Wonderful atmosphere and excellent staff. The manager, Hank, welcomed us to the restaurant and thanked us and showed us to our table. Lovely evening, and should definitely be at the top of the list whether you're catching up with an old friend or celebrating something special.

We went on Christmas Eve: reservations for 4:00. Very crowded at4:00. I had the fish and crab. My wife had the filet. The food was excellent but it came an hour and a half late!

My husband and I have been meaning to try Marigolds for a few months now and we're so glad we did! We went on a Saturday and arrived around 4:45 for an early dinner and we're so glad we did. They do not start seating until 5 and we were the first people at the hostess stand and luckily we were able to sit at the bar due to so many reservations; we had no idea it would be so busy, so I highly recommend a reservation! The wine list is small, but thoughtful. To start, we ordered the crab cakes, lobster bisque, and French onion soup. The crab cakes were very good, but not mind blowing. The soups, however, were the highlight of the meal! My husband thought the bisque was the best he's ever had and the French onion soup was divine! For our mains, we ordered the mussel pasta (came recommended by the server) and the jambalaya pasta. The mussel pasta had good flavor, but was unfortunately a bit sandy. The jambalaya pasta was delicious! The service truly could not have been better. Our waiter was attentive and kind. He offered recommendations and was eager to help! The dessert display looked fantastic so we ordered a tart to go and we're so glad we did! The baked goods are delicious! Over all, we will be back likely for lunch.

This place never disappoints!! I came here with my family for dinner and were blown away by this Marigolds once again. Not only is the food top notch, the workers are so friendly and attentive. They listen, smile, and want to make sure you have the best experience. It was a lighter dinner for me so I just had a greek salad with chicken. My brother had the Chicken Penne and let me tell you, try it if you're a pasta lover!! We had every appetizer you could imagine from the brussel sprouts, jumbo shrimp special, to the calamari. You guys have to give it a try!! And if you have room, make sure to get Dessert!! They were just voted Gold for their Desserts!!!

This is the best place in town for dessert! The assortment is amazing. My favorite is the creme Brule, but I have tried nearly everything and am never disappointed. Crab cake salad for lunch is my go to when having a meal there. My daughter had the burger and it was also really good.

The food is pretty good here, but very expensive. But what really bugs me is now after trying their deserts some 3-4 times, I am completely underwhelmed. The Carrot Cake is poor, the Napoleons are also very mediocre and we tried another previously, but I forget what it's called. Some kind of a torte I think. Frankly, the deserts just aren't very good and they should either find another Baker or contract out their deserts. If they already do that, find another company. We are done ordering deserts at this restaurant. My wife makes far better desert offerings at home and so does Lazy Dog that's near by.

The carrot cake. Order the carrot cake - it's how carrot cake should be made. Service is friendly and quick.

My Family had an 80th Birthday party for my Mother -it was Fantastic the level of detail in the food prep was amazing. The owner Gus and Gus Jr. could not be more accommodating . Food 5 star, service 5 Star , we added some decorations Roses and such , the room looked beautiful! Highly recommend Marigolds for large events! Thanks to you Marigolds you made our special day even more so- a night to remember USA

The food was a lot and very good. I've eaten here many times and never had a bad meal. Our server was very attentive and courteous. She anticipated our beverage refills and was friendly. The restaurant was well decorated and clean. Of course, we will be back and save room for the great pastry choices.

10 stars! Incredible atmosphere, service, and food. My buddy and I stopped in for desserts one night, and then for dinner the next. Their Salmon special was stellar, and the chocolota mousse divine. Service is like an old world italian restaurant where the owner/manager checks in on you and makes you feel at home. This is the best dinner spot in Colorado Springs.

Absolutely some of the best service we have ever received. The food is amazing lots of flavors. Definitely made from scratch. Make sure and save room for dessert. It is worth it.

Just need to PLAN ahead when u r going; they're quite popular. The foods are fabulous; service is impeccable! Decor is pleasant! My only complaint would be with the noise levels. Some folks don't seem to realize theirs is NOT the only conversation being attempted I'm looking forward to trying the "Marigolds Bistro."

Delicious cake! I made a mistake on my pick up date and time and they were able to accommodate. Their award winning cake was definitely delicious. Light and still very good. Definitely will order again if we're ever in the Springs

DOUBLE WOW Gus and Brianna treated us like royalty and it was only our anniversary. Incredible dinner, wine, service, and dessert. I don't know what else to say other than if you want a special place to go to feel special this is where you should go!

The service from all of the staff was truly exceptional! My husband ordered the New York strip steak & I had the beef bourguignon. Both were absolutely delicious & beautifully plated. The manager visited our table a few times and was so kind and personable. And the desserts were fabulous as well - we especially loved the triple chocolate mousse cake & the raspberry cheesecake. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would!!!

It went there for lunch today on my little weekly staycation. I live in Denver, but used to live in the Rockrimmon area and last visited Marigold many years ago. It was great then but it's even better now. Service was phenomenal. The hostess was exceptionally organized as was the bus boy and my server, Joey. Had the crab salad and pumpkin cheesecake. Both were awesome. I don't think they were overstaffed by any stretch and maybe could've used one more server. Nonetheless everyone ran their butts off, but never forgot to smile and the efficiency was impressive. Kudos to the Chef. I want to go back!

The food was excellent and so tasty. The crab cakes were delicious and just right for two to share. The service was attentive and helpful. My veal scaloppini was wonderful and the grilled veggies were just right. Hubby had the filet mignon which was cooked to his liking and tasty. We also took desserts to go which were fabulous. Such a delightful meal! We wanted to dine Al fresco but the patio was not open since it was so hot (mid 80s). We used to live in Texas and thought the weather was delightful. That was our only disappointment. The ambiance was nice but did get a bit noisy as the place filled up.

Everything is always good! The staff, the food, the atmosphere, and the cake. We come here every time we are in Colorado Springs. The trout almandine and beet salad are 2 of our favorites. Very consistent in how the food is prepared.

The food and the service was outstanding! I highly recommend the Fraisier cake for dessert. Worth every calorie! When I am back in the area, I will be back!

Always a great experience at Marigold Cafe and Bakery! Gus and Julie and incredible staff were so happy to help us celebrate our dear family friend meeting our two granddaughters for the first time last night! We could not have had a better time, food, drinks and service! We will definitely be back soon and want to thank everyone at Marigold Cafe for being the excellent fine dining restaurant that it is!

Onion soup was very good. BLT was OK. Carrot cake was not nearly as good as mine. Lunch bill for soup, sandwich and small piece of cake $70.00! Im just too old and broke to eat out these days!

A little pricey but I loved it and the desserts are to die for if you're thinking of trying this place I'd definitely say you should the staff is so friendly as well

I was in town for business and this place was highly recommended. I was not disappointed. Everything about this place is great; service, food, wine, ambiance, deserts...the list goes on. I ended up eating dinner here all 3 nights because I knew no other place would meet this standard. I highly recommend this place if you are in town. I am looking forward to my next visit next time I am in town.
