Overall for its price I thought this was a nice motel. I thought the breakfast pastries were pretty stale but it’s a good location with nice rooms and waterfall shower (the walls are a little thin if you have loud neighbors). Having a microwave included is also nice since SB restaurants can add up (there is a grocery store within walking distance). The website advertises beach towels to borrow but they seem to have done away with that - they still have the bikes to borrow. I would consider staying here again but will probably also look at other options.

I’m in LOVE with this motel!! From the kind and friendly staff to the free bike, beach chair, and beach towel use to the lovely breakfast (with excellent pastries from a local bakery), it was nothing but 5 stars!! We had the deluxe king room with a massive jacuzzi tub in a modern spacious bathroom with rainfall shower. Loved it!||And the location CANNOT be beat!! We had the best time and recommend climbing the courthouse steps, walking through the gorgeous courthouse gardens, riding bikes along Cabrillo to Butterfly beach, and relaxing on East beach.|| We had excellent food everywhere we went. We especially loved the Cruisery, Augie’s, Shalhoob’s Funk Zone Patio, Chad’s, and Finney’s. Also be sure to walk through the shops at Paseo Nuevo. ||While it was pretty chilly for us each afternoon at the beach (despite sunshine and 72 degrees), we absolutely loved our time in this gorgeous, laid back, and friendly town!

Absolutely loved it for what we needed!- perfect little spot to stay the night in a clean well kept grounds and rooms. Cheery and bright and right near the beach! If we were on vacation and staying longer we would probably want a pool but free bikes to use, a cute little courtyard, the friendliest staff and the perfect location really made for a perfect stay with our pup! We will be back for sure! Thank you!

Beautiful location and excellent accommodations. Staff was friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable. Room was recently renovated and was in excellent condition. It was a great size for our group. The motel also had bikes, a surry four seater, beach chairs, and games available free of charge. It was only half a block from the beach. The location is close to dining, the beach, and shopping. The whole property was clean and inviting. I would stay there again and recommend the Marina Beach Motel to friends.

We enjoyed our stay at the Marina Beach Motel. Great location. A very short walk to the beach and local shopping. Our room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast included a nice selection of local pastries. This motel is also pet friendly! We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Santa Barbara.

The room was fresh and clean—but small. Great shower with rain head. Best part was the friendly young staff who were great. We had arranged in advance to have one of them dog sit for us while we attended a show at the Arlington. Well located to walk to the beach, pier and harbor. Good complimentary breakfast choices: bagels, pastries, juice, cereal. Mix of really nice guests from old folks to young families. We liked the vibe a lot. We’ll return!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to stay, Clean and New Remodeled. Was looking a place to stay while in town with our pups. Did celebrate my one year old pup in Santa Barbara. This place is also Pet friendly. They offered free bike cruiser from sunrise to sunrise. Location is good, easy walked to the beach, restaurant and closest to the downtown area. Highly recommended and we will comeback.

The Marina Beach Motel was a great base for our short break in Santa Barbara. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and found all the staff to be friendly. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed including a fridge, coffee machine and a large bathroom. The Marina Beach is centrally located, a very short walk to the beach and maybe a 15 minute walk into the centre of Santa Barbara. The weather wasn’t great when we were there and this together with it being early on in the season meant everywhere was very quiet. There are free bikes for guests to use and we took advantage of these on both days cycling the great bike paths along the front. Breakfast was ok, pastries and cake, yoghurts , fruit, bread, bagels, jams and spreads together with juices and hot drinks served in the lobby, you could eat here or take back to your room ( trays provided). We feel Marina Beach represented good value for money based on the location, room standard, breakfast and free bikes, we would stay there again.

Yelp
1st OFF - ONE OF THE BEST MOST COMFORTABLE BEDS I'VE EVER SLEPT IN MY LIFE !!! I was in Santa Barbara to Day of Coordinate a Valentines Wedding & I'm incredibly grateful the couple booked my overnight stay at this wonderful unique unexpected newly remodeled gem of a motel! I wasn't sure I would make the cut off check in time & had arranged for my room key to be picked up in a convenient coded lock box. The staff made it easy & effortless with my last minute request. I ended up arriving in time & the night clerk greeted me warmly & she was so incredibly helpful, pleasant and professional when trying to make arrangements on the phone and in person! The room was clean, smelled fresh, modern, lit well. The Bathroom was the same - the spacious shower had 2 different shower heads, a ceiling rainfall & classic. As mentioned the amazing bed brought me a memorable & incredibly blissful nights sleep. I also appreciated that the motel is only one level so I did not hear anyone above me or below me or walking outside my door. The neighborhood was extremely quiet and it was a very peaceful night sleeping The morning staff was as genuinely pleasant & wonderful as the evening staff ! The continental breakfast was well stocked & offered premium pastries. I hope to return for a weekend in Santa Barbara and actually get out to the beach and enjoy riding one of the complementary bikes. I HIGHLY recommend this motel !

Yelp
The Marina Beach Motel was the cutest and cleanest motel I have ever stayed in. Prior to our arrival, the motel was in contact with us via email to confirm our booking and had accommodations for a late check in, if needed. When we checked in, they had welcome cookies at the front desk which was such a nice touch after traveling so long to get there. Parking is free and looked like one spot available per vacancy. Dogs are allowed at this location for an extra fee. Free bike rentals and towels were also included in the stay with just a few steps away from the sand! There are quite a few options within a 5-10 minute walk. I was thoroughly impressed with the layout of the bathroom and the upgraded furniture. The bathroom had a HUGE tub, two shower heads, a hair dryer, the black makeup towel in addition to your normal white towels, a disposable plastic shower cap provided, and even a nice body length mirror. My husband and I even joked that it was probably nicer than some New York studio apartments. The bed and the pillows were comfortable. Free wifi is available, there was a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. And there was free continental breakfast from 7-10:30am where you check in. 10/10 would stay here again and would recommend any family member or friend to stay here! Staff was super nice and helpful even though we only stayed one night.

Yelp
Great location steps from the beach. Clean rooms with comfy beds and pillows, love that they had fridge, freezer and coffee maker in the room. Staff is super nice and helpful. Complimentary breakfast does the job. Complimentary bike rentals is a nice touch.

Yelp
Seriously the best place to stay. I'm sure the word "motel" scares a few people, but there's nothing to be afraid of. Came for a couple of days for my birthday and wanted a place that was affordable and this was perfect! Really loved that the parking and breakfast are free and that they had coffee all day. Breakfast included coffee, juices, cereal, oatmeal, fresh pastries, and a couple of microwaveable burritos/sandwiches. It's within walking distance of a lot of food and shops. The room was super clean and the king bed was incredibly comfortable. The shower had a regular shower head and a rain shower as well. The pictures honestly don't do it justice. The people at the front desk were very friendly and were able to accommodate an early check in. I would stay here anytime I visit Santa Barbara

Yelp
This review has been resting in my drafts for awhile & I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to the staff for being so kind. My husband & I did a birthday getaway for him awhile ago & while cleaning out his closet I found the birthday card they gave him & remembered our wonderful time here. The motel is near the beach which was awesome & the amenities were nice. This place was very clean, & the staff was so friendly. We both enjoyed our stay here & won't forget the friendliness of the staff. Thank you

Yelp
loved this motel- location was amazing, roughly a 4 minute walk to the beach, 5 minutes from downtown mall and was extremely close to anything driving wise. Rooms are a tad on the smaller side, but very clean and modern. Tvs all have netflix and youtube which was nice. motels do have bike rentals free to guests. Staff was extremely welcoming and kind. would stay again

Melissa C.

Yelp
Everyone was so kind and helpful throughout our stay. The room was amazingly clean, the whole facility and grounds were well maintained. The continental breakfast had great options, much more than I'd expected. I was very impressed and will stay there anytime I return to Santa Barbara

Yelp
My husband booked this place for an overnight stay after dropping off our college kids. This boutique hotel is conveniently located near the wharf in Santa Barbara. There are lots of great activities in the area which include beach tours, outdoor markets and lots of great restaurants. The grounds of this hotel are clean and well maintained. This is a one level building and parking is available in the courtyard in front of the respective rooms. Our room was very clean and modern with a minimalist design. I enjoyed the very comfortable king mattress, large modern shower complete with two shower-heads. There is a mini bar/kitchenette area with a coffee maker, supplies , a microwave and mini fridge. There is also a small desk and an accent chair. Simple but cozy and comfortable. It was nice to also have our 20 pound Bichon be able to stay here for a small fee. We enjoyed walking her by the beach while we checked out the area. Loved it and would definitely stay here again!

Steph M.

Yelp
Cute, clean, and quiet. Great location, easy walk to the beach, wine tastings, and State Street.

Yelp
We love this quaint, clean little inn. It's close to Funk Zone and Harbor. We stayed in king with kitchenette room 17 and we slept well. It looks like Santa Barbara is cleaning up homeless and now no one allowed on beach half hour after sunset. I was glad to see the city is also smoke free and the gal checking us in told us it's a "Smoke Free" inn. We got smoked out last time.A smoker highjacked the entire patio areas in morning and evenings so we couldn't sit outside. This is probably the 20th time we stayed here. It's our solid go-to!

Yelp
HIGHLY RECOMMEND -value & location. I loved this place, the room exceeded my expectations . The location is fabulous. The staff is so friendly. Lovely well kept grounds and they even had bikes to ride down the beach which was very fun. I most definitely will be coming back. Thank you Marina Beach Motel. See you next time. (The only reason I have to give them 4 rather then 5 stars is because the maid Silvia was being stingy with the paper products and we ran out of toilet paper and paper towels)

Yelp
Great place to stay. Dog friendly. Great selection for breakfast. Our kitchette room had all we needed. Comfortable room. Walking distance to the places we wanted to see,eat and taste wine.

Yelp
Tremendous value, newly refurbished room in a convenient location close to downtown Santa Barbara and the harbor. But what really won me over was good coffee and the most incredible French pastry, all free with our stay. Come to think of it, so many aspects of staying in this place made me think of Parisienne hotels.
google avatar

Yelp
TLDR: HIGHLY RECOMMEND -value & location Booked this spot last minute for nye. We were lucky to get it too because it reached no vacancy by the time we arrived in the afternoon before our check-in time. This place was a true gem. It was exceptionally clean for a boutique style motel and had all the amenities of AC/heater, fully stocked kitchen with microwave and mini fridge. I'm very particular with having a clean and sanitary bathroom and they did not let me down. All the towels were clean, neatly folded, and they had a lot available without you having to call for room service to get extras. The tub was optic white, no stains or grime. The bathroom had a mini window that offered a lot of sunlight, privacy, and ventilation to dry out the vapor when you shower. There was a coffee maker and large flat screen tv that we didn't use, but appreciated. The major bonus was free breakfast from 7am-11:30am. Croissants, danishes, apples, bananas, oranges, frozen burritos and frozen egg, cheese, sausage croissants, boiled eggs, oatmeal, tea, creamer, oj and coffee were all provided in the leasing office. You could choose to eat your breakfast there, on the outdoor deck, the center community lawn outside, or in your room. I have to say that everything was so smooth from checking in to checking out. It was an extremely relaxing trip and nye experience. Oh and I forgot to mention that parking was so easy. The spots are unreserved, but you'll usually get your spot right outside your door so it's ridiculously convenient, especially those who are handicapped or have trouble with walking long distances. Staff was friendly and I honestly have nothing bad to say about this gem. We will most definitely be making frequent trips back here to ensure a seamless and comfortable stay in SB.

Yelp
My wife and I loved our one-night stay at Marina Beach Motel. It was the last stop on our California honeymoon, and were definitely sad when we had to leave. We easily could have spent a week at this motel--which I never thought I'd say about a motel. First and foremost, the staff were so professional and friendly. I felt like I was back home in the midwest! We had to check-in a bit after hours. We called the office to let them know, and they set up a late check-in for us. When we showed up (~10 minutes after the office closed), the staff member was locking the doors, but still offered to get us checked-in quick before she left for the night. Her generosity was heart-warming, but we wished her a good night and proceeded with the late check-in process--which was painless. The room, my goodness, was so nice. The amenities were all very modern, the kitchenette had everything you'd need for simple meals, the bathroom was spotless, the whole room was clean, the bed was comfortable, climate controls were simple, and there was lots of information in the room regarding things to do, places to go, and what to see in the area--all pleasantly and effectively organized. In the morning--after the yummy complimentary breakfast where they had tons of fresh pastries from local shops--my wife and I borrowed some beach towels from the office and walked the short 2-4 minutes to the nearby beach. We were there on a weekday morning, and we were basically the only people there. It was so peaceful--until the adorable sea lions starting popping their noses up out of the water... then it was less peaceful and more adorable. This motel is one of my easiest recommendations. If they have availability, snag it. Yes, it might seem pricy for a motel, but everything here is pricy... and this might be better and more comfortable than hotels for 1.5x the price.

Yelp
Great location and price! Only a couple of short blocks from the beach. Marina Beach motel staff were friendly and helpful. I loved checking out a beach cruiser! I was able to enjoy a seven mile ride on the beach bike path (they provide a basket and lock too). The room was comfortable with laminate wood floors and a beautifully tiled duel head shower. The walls are a little thin, but with quiet neighbors, I barely noticed. Nice breakfast options and cute patio with seating areas. I never even used my car! You can walk and bike to the beach and State Street. Overall a great Santa Barbara motel!

Eliana S.

Yelp
My new husband and I had a destination wedding in SB and our hotel block at this hotel was one of the best decisions we made. Our families were able to meet and socialize at complimentary breakfast, ride bikes around the city from the motel and visit in the gorgeous courtyard. Titouan and his staff were so kind, chill, accommodating and so fun to work with. Everyone in my family can't wait to come back and stay here again! No notes!

Yelp
A quaint inn near the beach in Santa Barbara. The rooms are clean, furnished with a mini-fridge, coffeemaker, and an in-room safe. They have parking located in the property and ample street parking also. In the morning, they serve continental breakfast which provides enough energy before venturing out to the beach which is just a block away. And if walking isn't your thing, they have free bikes you can use to cruise down the beach and enjoy the beautiful Santa Barbara weather.
google avatar

Trixie B.

Yelp
Perfect spot for an overnight to see a concert. Walks on beach, friendly staff, porch swing, what's not to like. The room was comfortable, even the pull out bed. The breakfast is pretty unremarkable, but since no restaurants in SB open until 8 it's a great if you have to hit the road. Coming again and brining the dog and the grandchild.
google avatar

Yelp
This was my first time ever staying in a place where you can park your car right outside your room door. It was so interesting to me. 1. Check in: was painless, fast and despite having had no prior reservations, we could get a room here and I loved it. 2. Clean, comfy room: the bed was comfortable and I had no complaints. What more can I ask? Maids were polite and knocked on the door when they needed to ask something. 3. No restaurant on site, but a beautiful seating areas available to bring your own food and have a nice picnic. There's a Trader Joe's close by and i loved that I could just enjoy the weather, be a few steps away from my room, but could enjoy cheese platter and whatever you desired brought with you. It was such a great memorable thing to do. 4. Not many people around, which I liked. If there were, they were staying in their room.

Yelp
This review is based solely on customer service. The day we were supposed to arrive at the Marina Beach Motel, I got sick and last minute had to cancel our 1 night stay. I had spoken to the general manager, Trousseau(sp?) who was kind and understanding but the cancellation was still past their 48 hour cancellation policy and there would still be a charge. This was completely understandable. What surprised me was a phone call a few days after from the general manager letting me know he was able to cancel our reservation without any charges. Awesome! They were able to book another guest for the room. I was thankful for the phone call, let alone the great customer service! I will look forward to rebooking our stay the next time we plan on visiting Santa Barbara.

Yelp
Came here for an overnight stay during my short trip to Santa Barbara. I decided not to choose a hotel chain to stay and kinda gambled on something different, especially since it's in an excellent location (close to the beach and Stearns Wharf). Since it was a weekday and off-peak, we had no trouble with noise. The rooms were clean and tidy. They were of decent size, but definitely smaller. I did appreciate the lovely bathroom and the rainforest showerhead. Breakfast wasn't exactly memorable. I brought in some food from the outside and didn't get harassed by staff, who were super friendly throughout my stay. I would just get a beverage and not expect too much more. You can rent bikes and even a surrey bike. I rented one and the boardwalk is just 30 seconds away, where you can see the lovely beaches. Off topic, as I was biking, I saw a woman and her daughter pedaling a surrey bike, with their fat-ass husband/father sitting behind, yapping on his mobile. Irony pervades us all.

Christina M.

Yelp
This motel is so cute! Cozy, comfortable, clean and a cool beachy vibe! As a matter of fact, walking distance to the beach and shops too. They had an amazing continental breakfast, outdoor games to play, bikes to ride around the city, we went during Christmas so it was decorated so cute as well! Great price and location. We found our spot in Santa Barbara!
google avatar

Renee G.

Yelp
Room was very clean and the cleaning service was thorough. Staff were very nice and welcoming. There were two issues that I hope that the hotel can improve. There was a change in the reservation two weeks before the actual dates. There were approximately 3 calls made to verify that another person was taking over the reservation and did not require a kitchenette as was previously requested. The day before I was to arrive everything was confirmed correctly. I was woken during a noon nap on Thursday to check out by someone knocking and then entering their head into my room. I was shocked as I was sleeping. I said no that was incorrect and he left. Early 6:30 a.m. Saturday I locked myself out of my room. I rang the ring doorbell. The answer was static and I only caught a few words. One word was "someone". I waited over 30 minutes outside in the cold before someone showed up who was opening and had no idea I was locked out but quickly let me in my room. There was a family on each side of my room whose children were very loud up to 11:00 p.m. I have stayed there before with no issues so I will return and do recommend the motel.

Yelp
My family and I stayed here a year ago and we were pleasantly surprised. While it looks small, charming, and clean from the outside, it didn't have a "wow factor." Once we got inside we were wowed by how modern and clean the room was. That was a nice surprise. Bonus points for being super close to the beach.

Yelp
This is a great place to stay! Dog friendly ($15 extra a day for your furry friend). We had the king room with a kitchenette and were very comfortable for the week. It's a nice, quiet area. Close to beach (one block), close to restaurants and shopping on State Street (2-3 blocks). There is a 7/11 within walking distance (2 blocks) and they have bikes available for no charge! Beach towels are provided in the office. As well as a complimentary breakfast. The complimentary breakfast has hard boiled eggs, bagels & pastries, yogurt, oatmeal & fresh fruits. Coffee and orange juice. The front desk is full of pamphlets and brochures with local things to do, places to see, where to eat... Very friendly here, great value for your money. We will stay here next time we come to Santa Barbara!
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
I chose this place based upon it's Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. The dogs received a warm welcome from the staff. The room contained a kitchenette, and a basic continental breakfast is included. The only lack is a lawn on the property for the dogs; the one grassy area is marked for 2-legged users only. There is a basic continental breakfast included. The location is great: steps away from the beach and a short walk from the many restaurant choices on State Street.

Yelp
Just about a block from West Beach, this is a very clean, convenient place to stay. It's an older-style motel, and consequently the rooms are all centered around a horseshoe-shaped parking lot....so you get a great view of the parking lot and what everyone is driving. Parking is free. The rooms are mostly pretty small in size (there are exceptions), but they are very clean, well maintained and well equipped. Free WiFi is included. I've met folks there from all over the U.S., as well as France, Germany, Japan and Italy, and everyone has been respectful. The office is well staffed and they can assist you with local activities if required. There is a complementary continental breakfast, and the pastries are from Debbies Delights, which is one of my favorite local bakery shops. Bicycles can be checked out free of charge on a first-come basis. This place doesn't have the funky-vibe nor the Spanish-style feel of most nearby lodgings, but is a solid choice for any traveler, especially one with kids.

Yelp
I enjoy my due upstairs since 1999 and each time I go. This is a place I must stay absolutely beautiful.

Yelp
Short stay but centrally located, super clean and nice room. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Yelp
My family and I stayed here for my sisters wedding and it was a great little place to stay. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice and clean. They have bikes that you can borrow and ride down to the beach. Another perk is they have a breakfast bar in their lobby with coffee, tea and other goodies!

Yelp
My family of 3, recently stayed 2 nights at this hotel, at first glance of the outside, and the inside, you might not think much of it, but the convenience, and the customer service, made everything worthwhile, and we will definitely book again. The hotel grounds is maintained very well, which includes a small greengrass area, vibrant flowers, and a water fountain. There are a couple of lounge chairs, and a table to sit at if you want, along with a vending machine. They also have one of those 4 person bicycles to use if you'd like. This hotel is so convenient and accessible, because you park right in front of your room, and the beach, is down the street, and across the way. Depending how much walking you want to do, you really don't need to drive much. There were several desk clerks we saw within the days we were there, but John, was the absolute best. His friendly and happy personality, along with his welcoming and professional customer service made our experience that much better. After checking in, he went around to each unit, to let us know, that he had freshly baked cookies in the office. So sweet. He recommended a restaurant to try for dinner, and it was a great choice. Our room had two beds, a small table with two chairs, a fridge, no microwave, and bathroom was supplied with cruelty free products, which we loved. We are also able to borrow beach towels, which came in handy. It was quiet during our stay. They do allow pets, in case anyone is traveling with their fur babies, and the housekeeping staff were friendly and hardworking. Thank you for providing us with a wonderful stay.

Debbie G.

Yelp
My husband and I spent one night at the hotel on July 19 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had not made any reservations for our nights stay and pulled up in front of this beautiful, quaint and clean motel . Hunter was at the front desk and stated they had one room left and unfortunately the AC was not working but it did have a fan and a ceiling fan. He allowed me to go to the room to see if it was acceptable as far as the temperature was in the room. It was perfect and so clean. The grounds are immaculate. The continental breakfast was wonderful, and so enjoyable sitting out in the patio .Thank you Hunter for being a perfect gentleman and a wonderful employee. Oh..... we were given a discount because of the faulty a/c.. Would definitely stay here again and looking forward to it.

Paul J.

Yelp
As we drove up it was wonderfully nostalgic. Yet, the rooms and grounds were a million times better than my memories of motoring up the coast and staying in the quaint motels by the ocean. The whole place has been renovated and so very clean! More like an updated timeshare than a motel. Definitely will be back again. Add the amazing staff: Titaian checked us in and provided great ideas for the area. Hunter suggested we use the free bikes and towels for a quick ride down the beach. And special thanks to Jenny and Stella the next morning getting us on our way with snacks and breakfast on the go.

Yelp
The Marina Beach Motel is a very nice, clean & comfortable stay. The staff did a great job making me feel like I was on vacation. My room had everything that I needed for my weekend getaway & more. The Continental Breakfast was excellent & the scenery was beautiful here in Santa Barbara! This place is just as good if not better than most of the other bigger motels for the price! I will definitely be staying here again....

Yelp
CUSTOMER SERVICE!! My daughter and I were in town to visit UCSB, and WILL RETURN! This motel was clean, comfortable, had a great location, but by far..... customer service was AMAZING!! John, in particular, was incredibly nice, helpful and welcoming! When you are acknowledged and greeted on a first name basis, and not just upon check in....during our entire stay....it shows you are welcome! Would DEFINITELY return because of service alone! Love the bikes provided during your stay and a nice continental breakfast included in the morning. Thank you for baking us feel WELCOME!!

Rachel L.

Yelp
This is our second time at the motel. Its location is superb. Close to all the action yet quiet and not in the chaos. The staff are very welcoming and nice. The rooms are super clean and updated. There is free on-site parking, refreshments in the lobby and light breakfast options. They are cat and dog friendly for a reasonable fee and agreement. We have brought our cat both times and were appreciative and grateful for being allowed to do this, as many places only permit dogs. Our go-to place for Santa Barbara weekend excursions.

Ronnie K.

Yelp
This hotel is top notch. As a former GM I look for clean comfortable and a place that has service. This hotel checks all the boxes. Kevin the GM and his ENTIRE staff treated us like royalty. Need breakfast? They have it. Want to bike to the beach? they have bikes for you. This place is incredibly warm and accommodating. We will definitely return here again. Ronnie from Chelan

Yelp
Really great motel! We've stayed here multiple times. The rooms are clean and modern, friendly staff, and a great location in Santa Barbara. In the afternoon they have fresh cookies, and in the morning there's pastries, bagels, toast, yogurts, and hard boiled eggs as well as juices and coffee. They also have bikes to ride. And they're pet friendly! I'd stay again!

Yelp
Had a fabulous weekend stay. Room was very comfortable with a great mattress, well appointed bathroom. Free beach cruiser bike usage which was optimal since location is near everything! Beach, Funk Zone, State Street. Kevin, manager, and his staff were rock stars when it came to professional customer service. Would highly recommend as well as definitely return.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay. Absolutely fantastic location, and amazing value. Very friendly service when we checked in, and we were placed in a newly renovated room that was lovely. We had to leave a night early, and the hotel manager was kind enough to accommodate us and not charge the remaining night. Cannot wait for our next stay!

Yelp
We were unsure what this would be like but we were only staying for one night. It was a very pleasant surprise! Really comfortable, super clean and well appointed. Very close to the beach area and easy to walk the neighborhood. The staff were very sweet and responsive. Would definitely go back again!

Yelp
Great place to stay while visiting Santa Barbara. Walking distance to the beach, marina, Stearns Wharf, and State Street. Clean, quiet, plenty of free parking, professional management, and a hose to clean your dog after a swim in the ocean, YES, dogs are welcome like part of the family. And a nice complimentary breakfast every morning. Thanks Kevin for making our stay extra special.

Yelp
This is the little motel that could....we found this gem for a one nite stsy in Santa Barbara. It is located on Bath st and less than a block from the beach. You have an outside door entry and they are older, but it is in a very safe area. The harbor, beach and Stearns wharf is an easy walk. Most of the motels in this area are older and have been refurbed quite nicely with modern amenities. New carpet, overhead fans, big showers with a body and overhead sprayers. Big screen tv, free WiFi and a frig. No microwave or bath tub. Fresh paint and beautiful landscaping and flora. They have a relaxing center court with lounges and dining tables. Free bikes to use around the neighborhood and beach. Nice and filling continental breakfast, really something for everybodys taste. I would definitely stay here again, and they are dog friendly!

Yelp
Don't be mislead by the "motel" in Marina Beach Motel. For anyone who associates a motel with no ambience, drab surroundings, only there to lay your head for the night, this place will change your mind. The Marina Beach Motel is a wonderful little gem that offers cute, quaint, comfort, clean, a relaxing ambience, with newly renovated and very nicely upgraded rooms. I was pleasantly surprised to find how much I liked this place. We were only in for one quick night to attend a concert and really, all we wanted was a place to comfortably lay our heads. What we got was a very nice room with a large tiled shower, refrigerator, a very comfy king bed, new carpet, and paint. The room is pretty small, but it was big enough for the 2 of us and dog crate. There is a relaxing center courtyard/garden-like area with tables, chairs, and a few lounge chairs. We enjoyed a glass of wine in the courtyard to wind down after our long drive in. They offer free bike rentals, perfect for riding to the beach and to nearby Stearns Wharf. Continental breakfast is served in the lobby area from 7:30am-10:30am each morning. Dog friendly rooms are available for an extra $15 per dog. They are located near The Milo Hotel and other higher priced ocean front hotels, where Bath Street ends at Cabrillo Street at the entrance to SEA Landing. We took a nice leisurely walk through SEA Landing where sea lions were sunning and sea gulls and cranes were flying around. The walk to Stearns Wharf is a little more than a half mile and is well worth the walk to the end of the pier. Marina Beach Motel is not a resort, it is not high end, it is just a wonderful place to stay in beautiful Santa Barbara.

Yelp
This is the perfect place to stay while visiting Santa Barbra. Excellent staff clean and remodeled rooms, beautiful tiles floors and big two headed showers. They offer bikes to ride around on and have complimentary breakfast. We walked to Stearns ward and the funk zone. We literally walked 2 minutes to the beach. Love this place and we will be back!

Yelp
We enjoyed staying here during our 3 night stay in mid March. The location is almost perfect - a block away from the beach and less than 10 minute walking distance to State Street. It's close to many other hotels, motels, and inns. I would say this is a nice boutique hotel. Parking lot was full every night but there was always 1-2 spots available at night so we had no problem with the parking. Free parking. They provided complimentary breakfast in the lobby every morning so we would get our bagel and coffee fix every morning - don't expect anything fancy. Dog friendly for only $15/night! Our dog enjoyed his stay here. We took advantage of their free beach towels but didn't get the chance to use their bikes. There's a little lawn with some chairs and garden in the middle of the parking lot. We got to sit there are night and relaxed a bit. Super friendly staff! They exercised COVID precautions and I appreciated the little things they do to keep it safe and clean such as asking guests to place hotel key cards in a box with sanitizing solution upon checking out. We got a one king size bedroom which was a bit small. Next time we'll definitely pay a little more for a bigger room that has a sink aside from the bathroom. Our dog didn't have much place to roam and seemed a bit confused as he's used to living in a bigger space. The AC/heater unit was a bit loud and didn't really give us the right temp. If we turn it off, the hotel room gets really hot and musty fast. There was a fridge but no microwave - we had to use the microwave in the lobby. The room looks pretty clean - we didn't have to wipe down the place upon entering too much. The walls are pretty thin, we could hear our neighbors easily. The bed was okay comfortable, I just wish the pillows were a little more firm. Overall not a bad place to stay for the price and location. There aren't that much dog friendly hotels in the area with such a great location so we'll definitely be back here!
