Marina di Petrolo Hotel & SPA

Hotel was located in a convenient location very close to the centre. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. The pool was lovely and so refreshing. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also very nice and the ladies made me an iced coffee on request. This hotel could only be improved by changing to adults only.

Wonderful staff! Great location, very clean, wonderful breakfast! Easy walk to town for all. Aurelia, Alessandra, Serena and Giuseppe were very knowledgeable and helpful. Antonella was super friendly at breakfast. The staff recommended Natale as our driver ( he even provided a car seat) for our 5 year old granddaughter. This hotel is a perfect family getaway. I would definitely recommend Marina del Petrolo

As a previous reviewer said I too have mixed views. Same experience re sea view room with balcony (disappointing) so we opted for a side view room which I found much more pleasant. Spotless room, good breakfast, friendly staff. We were driving so picked this hotel for its parking, inter alia. Was a bit put off by the midnight drive up to the hotel. It’s central but located just when the town gets a bit nicer - it’s quite grotty until that point. ||No pool bar in May. No lunchtime food options so it’s not really a longer by the pool kind of place. Staff are generally lovely except whoever parks his car to block in the guest cars (was it the manager? It happened several times). And then there was a mix-up over the bill which took more insistence than it should have to sort out. Unfortunate. ||Overall very good but

As long as you book a side or front-facing room, this hotel is an absolute gem. The location is ideal—just steps from the heart of town—yet it feels like a tranquil retreat. The pool is a standout feature, perfectly positioned to offer panoramic views of the sea, making it the ideal spot to unwind at the end of the day. Mornings are just as magical, thanks to a charming breakfast room that overlooks the water. One of the most enchanting touches is the jasmine tree at the front of the property—its sweet fragrance fills the air, and cozy seating beneath its canopy makes it the perfect place to relax and take in the atmosphere.

We could not get a room in the main building as they were booked but we did stay in the Apartments a few steps away (the building is right next door). It was fine, not fancy and available! Breakfast is in the main building and was okay. ||Easily walkable to the harbor where there are many fine restaurants. Also, close to Lo Zingaro, a wonderful nature reserve we wanted to visit and to the Palermo Airport as we had a flight in the morning.

Whilst this may appear like a small hotel, we were incredibly pleased with our room and the service provided. The room was spacious, with a balcony, kitchen facilities and a coffee machine. However, please note that coffee pods and standard coffee, tea, milk etc are not provided. The cleaners arrived every morning around the same time and thoroughly cleaned the room. There is only 1 pool which is on the smaller side although we never had any issues with sunbeds/access to the pool (our stay was during a quieter month so this may differ during busier months however). The pool also offers a lovely view of the sea and nearby beach. Free pool towels are provided from reception upon request. All staff were incredibly friendly and spoke English well. You can opt for breakfast at the hotel although we did not do this so cannot comment on the food.||There were only a couple of small disadvantages. First, the shower cabin in our room was tiny, which often resulted in hitting against the sides. Second, there was no full-length mirror in the room.

Mixed feelings about this hotel:||HIGHS:|- super clean|- very pleasant and helpful staff in reception |- modern, well maintained rooms|- convenient to visit Scopello, Zingaro and San Vito. Also close to Palermo airport and the city|- private, easy to access car park||LOWS:|- we booked a balcony room with sea view. Well the main view was over and adjacent commercial building, a dismissed tonnara and a car park…. the sea was there yet very much on the background; balcony extra tiny;|- swimming pool: smaller than what it looks on picture; gets crowded fast; infinity view faces over a car park… and then the sea|- breakfast: wide selection but really mediocre quality for Sicilian standards. Also, awful large screen TVs with music videos playing at 08.00am in a place where it would be much nicer to watch and breath the sea.||Overrated on both Trip Advisor and Tablets: Sicily can offer so much more….||I will not go back

Bright, clean, comfortable. Just a short walk to the beautiful harbor. Well located so it can serve as a home base for day trips to Segesta, Zingara, Alcamo and Monreale. |The hotel has on site parking. An amazing breakfast is provided. The hotel staff were all friendly, fun, and helpful. I hope I get another opportunity to stay there.

we did not stay here, but our friends did and they recommended it very highly. I will definitely stay there next time

Amazing hotel. Great stay. The owner of the hotel is very accomodating and helpful with whatever questions you have. The pool is beautiful with a great view. Rooms are spacious and most have an outside balcony that allows for great relaxation.
