Mariners North Holiday Apartments

Magnificent. Its a million dollar view. We stayed in the tower and it has a beautiful balconies to look out over the pool and ocean. The ocean is literary, over the pool fence. The apartments was huge, the master had a walk in robe bigger than in my 4 bedroom house. It has everything you need, right down to washing machine, dryer etc. It is about a 500m walk to the Strand for cafe/pubs and the shopping area and only about 1 km to casino (although it would only be a 200m swim). Tennis courts and a BBQ are part of the facility. We had a wedding at the Casino and this was half the price, and the view was better and more facilities than what I saw with family that stayed there. Can't speak highly enough, would love to own one of these.....

Beds are very comfortable. This accommodation is an older style resort, not modern, thou they have replaced bits of furniture with modern versions. But it was so clean and spacious. It was very quiet. They have an out door pool, grab some pool towels at reception, BBQ area, tennis court and lovely garden. It’s very sucure with a fob to get you to the car park or rooms and the gate is locked after 5pm and you need a key to get in after that. It’s right on the strand, hire a scooter for fun. There are tons of restaurants along the strand. We had a sea view,2 bedroom apartment.

Mariners North has been around for a while and was possibly the first apartment complex to be built on the strand near the marina when it was constructed. It is a unpretentious and welcoming facility with generously sized apartments at reasonable prices in a very good location. It is well managed and has manicured gardens and a clean pool and spa overlooking the ocean. Some car parks are under the main building and some are outside but all are within the secure complex. A very good option and alternative to a hotel for a family including those with (annoying) teenagers like mine.

Celebrated my 40th birthday with 3 lovely nights at Mariners north. It was the perfect break from life on a boat. It allowed us to keep an eye on our boat in the marina while still enjoying the comforts of an apartment. The managers were friendly and helpful and grounds absolutely immaculate. It is far enough out of town thats its quiet, but close enough you can walk to countless restaurants, cafes and groceries. We had coles delivery right to our apartment bench and made the most of the full sized kitchen.|Would 100% book to stay again.

Awesome location with fabulous ocean view. Apartment was very clean and suits all needs. It is near to lots of restaurants, historical landmarks, downtown and supermarket. Staff was very friendly and accommodating too.

We’ve stayed here a few times now, the location is perfect on the strand and the apartments are very spacious. Beautiful oceans views, even from the ground floor apartments. Our particular apartment could do with some TLC however was clean and tidy. These apartments are great for families and large groups. The room had Foxtel which was an added bonus. There is a pool and tennis court and racquet hire and balls are free to use. Our gate fob didn’t work when we returned from a walk late one night however we were able to gain entry to the complex.

Really nice holiday apartment. Right on the water and the strand. Secure parking and great facilities. Great for families.

Mariners North Apartments enjoy a prime position at the end of the Strand around the corner from the Tobruk Baths and the Waterpark. Apartments are either in a ten floor tower or in two three storey wings many with garden and pool access. The building faces along the Strand, giving views across to Magnetic Island, over the Harbour entrance and out to the ocean. |The Apartments' gardens extend directly along beside the water, they are pleasant and well maintained enclosing a resort style pool, partly shaded with a spa. There is an enclosed bbq area with showers etc and a tennis court. |There is secure underground parking and lifts to all floors. The building has gated access, open during Reception hours but closed evening/overnight.|As the title of this review suggests we have been coming to Mariners for some time, about 18yrs at the last count, so it really goes without saying that we find it comfortable and convenient. We occupy a two bedroom ocean facing apartment on the 6th floor of the Tower, usually the same one but occasionally others have been equally well suited.|It's an easy walk along the Strand to local shops, cafes and bars and The Ville Resort and Casino, formerly "Jupiters", with all its' facilities and attractions is a five or ten minute car ride, just past the Ferry Terminal for trips to Maggie Island etc. The Maritime Museum and new Cowboys' Stadium are likewise easily accessible. |I think it worth mentioning that despite Townsville's reputation as a "Hot Spot" of crime, during our visits we have never been affected or seen signs of this. Of course it's always wise to be safety conscious and aware.|During the period we have been staying at Mariners there have been two changes of Management, and each Team has been pleasant, efficient, helpful and friendly just as always. We now look forward to meeting the most recent Managers again when we come to stay in October.
