I went on the red bus tour in Capetown and dropped off at the Marinas Wharf for late lunch. This was at around 4 pm, and the last bus stop for the tour. It next to the ocean and has a beautiful view. The restaurant has a fast foodie vibe, and you queue to place an order. If it's busy, you'll queue for more than 20 minutes like we did. The Wharf Side Grill, located at the picturesque Mariners Wharf Harbour is the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy delicious food, and take in the beauty of the surroundings. While there was a brief 20-minute wait before our waiter, Herman, came over, it was absolutely worth it. Once he greeted us, he completely turned our day around with his exceptional service. Herman made a point to check in on us every 15-20 minutes, ensuring we were comfortable and had everything we needed. His attentiveness was genuinely remarkable and truly elevated the experience. The food was nothing short of amazing. Every dish was as fresh as could be, and it was clear that quality ingredients were used in every bite. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was top-notch. We could tell the kitchen takes great pride in its offerings.

Did a City Sightseeing tour and stopped off at the Wharf for some fish and chips. It was absolutely divine! It was a generous helping of crispy fish and chippies.

Best Lunch I've had in a very long time! From the time you walk in you're greeted with Joy followed by smiles all around you. The Chocolate Milkshake was awesome, I drank the entire thing forgetting to take a picture. My brother ordered the Mussels with garlic butter, and it was FANTASTIC. Best Mussels I ever tasted. Hands down👌. I ordered the Captains Curry. WOW, I promise you, you'll absolutely fall in love with this dish. I think about it every night.... The famous fish and chips is good but I feel it's overhyped. Fish will obviously be fresh but nothing to rave about. Still very delicious and worth a try. I think they should give a Tar Tar sauce with it, maybe ask them if you do end up going for it. Hope you enjoy 😄.

I enjoyed the seafood mix so much. The chilli atchaar was also very good. The platter was more than enough for two people and included a great selection of seafood - hake, calamari, prawns & crab sticks, and chips. We stood in the queue for about 30 minutes and then a further few minutes waiting for the food, but it was well worth the wait. It was delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall experience was authentic. I totally enjoyed it.

This is an iconic place. Not only for the food but the views but the fact that they have been there forever. We had some beer and a cocktail and a vegetarian dish with mushrooms and vegies in a philo basket and mushroom and spinach sauce and it was scrumptious. Really good!

Visited here a good few years back. The decor and the unfriendly hostess has not changed, the food however has. R160 for dried piece hake and old chips with absolutely no seasoning, bland and tasteless fish. I eventually left the fish as it has so many small bones, the experience of eating that fish was really the pits. plus the chips were dry and refried as my photo you can see. The beer is on not on the menu so they can charge you practically anything for it. We also ordered calamari, we ordered 3 of them and they all tasted different, the 3rd plate seemed to be drenched in oil and again no seasoning. Poor waitress felt like she has to whisper that some things on the menu were not available. Also If your waitress sees a tourist forget about great service, you will be ignored, 5 waitresses /waiters at one tourist table. You might as well be invisible. As I left disheartened, thinking of that R2500 bill I just paid, I walked down the stairs I glanced at the people below, with there greasy smiles, eating cheaper fish at the dirty tables and could help but think that I might have been happier going to the establishment at the bottom.

Minnie was a phenomenal waiter! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Your hostess Amy very pleasant and friendly!!! We definitely will return to see you guys!!!
