Marinka Waterfalls

Very nice relaxing beautiful place and tour you get if you pay a tour. Such a beautiful place Santa Marta is to visit and tour and to know. Then after you go on the top of the mountains and got sone other hostel a super nice place to stay. Just love it. One of the best spots places to visit in the world if you like nature and chill and relax with such a amazing nightlife and partying in the heart of Santa Marta en los parque de los novios. Touristy but a good activity if you want something to do. I recommend walking there from town, having a swim & grabbing lunch after in town. Don’t eat near the waterfall— pricey! More travel tips & guides on IG @gillianskar!

Its waterfalls indeed. If you've traveled bit, these wont be very impressive. Its very tourist focused. I think you'll spend max 1 hours there (unless you go to the restaurant). 20k pesos to enter the park.

This waterfall is a tourist trap. I shouldn’t have come here. I hurt my ankle there and the staff were not willing to help me, just because I wasn’t a local and I didn’t speak spanish. They were too busy chit chatting with their friends instead. The experience overall was not enjoyable, as the waterfall was packed with people. I have been to much better places where I entered for free and there were more polite and helpful people.

You can walk to this waterfall from Minca. There is no huge ascend, but the road is a bit dirty and you need to cross ~3 streams. The entrance to the waterfall is 22k cop per person. Inside there are bathrooms, change rooms and cafeteria. The waterfall is clean and powerful, but when it’s raining it becomes muddy.

Good services around to be able to visit the waterfall. Waterfall was easier to access than pozo azul, we got a car to this one but the walk didn’t look too bad (although I can imagine if very muddy it wouldn’t be easy). Restaurant has a delicious hot chocolate for sale, just a shame it’s so small! Food is definitely overpriced but it is good, and a decent size.

Take a Jeep to come there. You can walk but only if you are in a good shape. The water is not to cold and refreshing. Nice spot to visit. If you are quit you can see some nice birds.

We walked from Minca and it took about an hour, there were a few crossings through shallow water. 22,000 peso entry per person. We went around 3.30pm on a weekday and it was not busy at all which was great. Changing room and toilets available near the restaurant. You're not allowed to swim in the upper waterfall. Refreshing.
