Marion Hotel & Cellars

Marion hotel was very nice. When we went we saw fireworks and had a nice new year. They are quite a lot of parking lots. The rooms were clean with a nice bathroom and beds. The TV had free movies and was nice. We also ordered breakfast at the hotel which was fresh but not like what I thought of buffet style. No gym or swimming pool though.

After a long day at the hospital I just wanted dinner and my nice soft bed. I took a table in the Dining Room and as a lover of Salmon I ordered the Atlantic Salmon. The Salmon was cooked perfectly with confit chat potatoes, asparagus, a carrot and ginger puree, lemon and herb sauce and capers. The chef's blending of flavours is fantastic......I love ginger as well and I am absolutely sold on that puree. The whole dish was an absolute taste sensation ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️we all know that staff can make or break a place, kudos to Tara and Tom for excellent service 👏

Went out with workmates, haven’t been to the Marion hotel in a number of years but have heard good things about changes since Covid. Ordered a burger which was worded like the best thing to ever grace my lips, came with a half empty plate of chips, the burger itself was about the size of a double cheeseburger from Maccas, but even still I had faith due to the deluxe ingredients that I was in for a treat. The meat Pattie’s were something akin to the Woolworths bulk frozen ones that halve in size when cooked, they were dry, and hard around the edges, the cheese which was one of the pulling points of the burger had almost no flavor, and leaking from the bun like a watery gravy. The sauce tastes little different to nap sauce despite being advertised as a gourmet delicacy. Overall yeah the place looks nice. Paid $12.80 for a glass of cider which despite asking for no ice, came full of ice, so probably only half a pint was served, and paid $29 for the burger that u probably would have been better off spending $15 at Maccas for something comparable.

This is our second year coming to stay in the Christmas room, and it never disappoints. All the inclusions you get, the late check out, breakfast, hot chocolates & chocolate bon bons, 2 x cocktails and the overall theme of the room is amazing. We also wanted to note the cleanliness of the room is great, you can walk around with no shoes and you feel not a single thing on your feet. Its a nice little tradition we’ve started with our family and we will be back again next year 🎄🎅🏼

im so sorry this is a bit late but we hosted my best friends bridal shower 2 weeks ago in the outdoor function room and it had to have been one of the best services we’ve ever experienced!!! Everyone was so nice and helpful throughout the whole night but a very special shout out to Rene (the manager im assuming) she was hands down THE BEST! we all loved her so much we received so much feedback even from our guests regarding her performance!!! She was just amazing so so helpful, funny, kind and just brilliant! definitely put the venue on the map for us! such a good experience

We had a wonderful stay at the Marion Hotel last night. The room was reasonably priced, very spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were warm, friendly, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect for us, with easy access to the Flinders Medical Centre. Overall, a great experience — we will definitely be back!

We came here for a New Year’s Eve set menu followed by dancing to an electronic band. What this place lacks in history and old world charm it makes up in amazing food and staff who really do seem to want to be here as the customer service is warm and inviting. The only pub we can compare this to would be Akubar which lacked the attention to detail and customer service at this staff give and also the food. Here is pretty hard to beat our steaks beautifully cooked.

We bought family from interstate to enjoy a dinner at the Marion Hotel on 22nd Nov. Unfortunately my husband ended up vomiting the next morning. He had a beef schnitzel for dinner which we think may have caused him falling ill. On a brighter note the other 3 people at our table had meals that were beautiful. Steaks mouthwatering and cooked to perfection.
