Between 2022 and 2024 we have stayed at the Mariscal Apartments 6 times (twice in apartment block 5 & 4 times in apartment block 4). We booked through Booking.com 4 imes and twice directly with Gestaltur S.L. Communication was excellent, and on all occasions we registered via WhatsApp.
On arrival at the office, a breakage deposit of 150€ (per booking) was paid onto a credit credit. It was explained that apartments have a welcome pack of washing-up liquid, a sponge and a tea towel, as well miniature toiletries. Safes were available for 2.50€ per day (10€ refundable deposit) and 10€ per day for air conditioning.
The apartment blocks were clean and traditional with lift access, sharing 2 pools and a large carpark. A list of common sense RULES and charges were placed on the back of the front doors. The apartments that we stayed at include:
APARTMENT 10B (Mariscal 5)
The apartment was very clean with a well equipped kitchen (fridge, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, ironing board & iron). The bathroom was dated with a shower over the bath. The furniture was functional, but old with some damage to the sofa bed. There was a large private open terrace with a partial seaview, a clothes airer, table and chairs. There was air-conditioning (daily charge applies) and free WiFi in the apartment.
APARTMENT 8B (Mariscal 5)
Apartment 8B was spotlessly clean and very spacious (outside terrace had been glazed in) with an additional single bed, a dining area and a full sized fridge freezer. There was a modern kitchen with a breakfast bar. The kitchen had a washing machine, kettle, microwave, iron, hob and a mini oven. There was a large TV in the lounge. The bathroom was modern with a large walk-in shower and plenty of storage. The bedroom furniture was old, but there was a large safe. There was no WiFi or air-conditioning, but there was a floor standing fan and a portable heater.
APARTMENT 10C (Mariscal 4)
Apartment 10C had been freshly painted and was immaculately clean. The furniture was old, but well looked after (looked like new). The apartment was spacious with a glazed terrace (glimpse of the sea, an outside table and chairs, clothes airer and an ironing board), and a well equipped kitchen (kettle, toaster, hob, oven, fridge, iron, microwave and so on). There was a shower over the bath and the beds were very comfortable (new mattresses). The apartment had air-conditioning (daily charge applies) and free WiFi. The TV was small and there was no washing machine.
APARTMENT 10A (Mariscal 4)
Apartment 10A was a clean, comfortable, well equipped (fridge freezer, kettle, microwave, oven etc) corner apartment with 2 terraces and a utility room housing a washing machine. There was a shower over the bath.
The location of the apartments was excellent, being just a 3 minute walk to the strip and square near Cafe Benidorm, and about 5 minutes to Levante beach. There were a number of bars including Tommy's, Wooky Hollow 2, Buddies and New Life Pub awithin easy walking distance. There were also cafes, restaurants, take aways (Pizza Ibiza where you can buy sausage rolls, pasties & pies) and supermarkets including Consum (next door to Buddies) within the immediate vicinity of the apartment.
On arrival we were instructed to check-out by 10am. I.e. you need to arrive at the office just before opening to ensure that you check-out on time. The check-out process was quick and the breakage deposit was returned the next day. These are great self catering apartments (fully equipped & spacious) and we would recommend, if you are not looking for luxury and don't mind thin walls.
