Good! Always good. Never had a bad meal here. Fresh tasty Mexican food. Not Tex Mex. Check it out. Small place fills up quick. My friends has seafood items that were great. We have fish and shrimp ceviche for a started. I forgot pics of those. I will be back

Hands down my new favorite spot for this kind of food. Everything was amazing and delicious. Thanks guys! My only regret is that I waited so long to finally stop by.

Great unassuming place with great seafood! Must try seafood soup (with a lot of seafood) and ceviche! We are from Dallas but were staying around the corner at the Hyatt Regency but wanted to venture out. We pulled up to the parking lot and saw several police cars. We knew we had to test it out and it did not disappoint. This is a family run restaurant. There were alot of people coming in to get food to go too.

Google
Truly enjoyed this place. Went in for a late lunch, and all the food was flavorful. Starting with their complementary consume, it was not loaded with onions or tomato, just nice and warm, very Cajun. The plates were well served. The flautas were nice and big in size, and beans and rice were all well cooked and didn't leave any behind . If you are within the vicinity, please stop by. You will not regret it.

This is a gem! Small place with such tasty food! Tortillas are hand made everything was fresh and tasty! All the fish was not fishy at all but super fresh! The caldo de mariscos was so hot and delicious! The fried shrimp and fish were crunchy and so good! I absolutely loved the oysters with ceviche! The food was great and service was excellent! Very friendly and kind with quick service! Can’t wait to try more!

Yelp
Saucy, creamy and crispy fish and shrimp tacos. Homemade corn tortillas. Carrot Slaws, cucumbers , avocado slices and corn make it fresh. Small unbothered spot to eat comfort seafood . Tasty refillable tea. I took a cup to go. Perfect for the heat. Three types of rice and two types of beans on the menu. Menu is in English and Spanish. The service was great. They start off with tostadas and crackers and two types of salsa. while you peruse the menu. She provided to go boxes and to go cups of tea. You pay at the register and there is a refrigerated section with drinks and desserts. If you want to take flan , rice pudding, tres Leche or a cheesecake home with you plus there's Mexican candy options at the register, candied, pumpkin, caramels, coconut seeds and nut bars.

Yelp
+ value: a lot of food for a decent price. didnt skimp on the seafood part. + taste: everything was fresh and flavored well. large menu providing a lot of options. also had many hot sauce options- traditional (tabasco, chalula, etc), and homemade (a green sauce that seemed to be a blended oil with jalapeno / serrano, and another orange one the same consistency but habenero?). + service: server never more than 20 feet away, and prompt with whatever requested. food came out fast and accurate. + environment: a bit of a hole-in-the-wall type of place. was a bit run down, but clean. not sure about location as i'm unfamiliar with SA, but didnt feel unsafe at all. authentic to a coastal mexican vibe. if they poured some beach sand around the place, all that'd be missing would be the ocean ;)

Yelp
A new favorite. Nice, bright and clean restaurant and all of the staff are super welcoming, fast and efficient. Within minutes of sitting, we had a basket of tostadas, salsa and drinks. We have fast food and generous portions. The ceviche is a fast summer favorite and the bacon wrapped shrimp with rice and vegetables was fantastic. Highly recommend you try this family owned business.

Yelp
First time visiting here. Decided to try since it has such high marks. You sit at any open table which is fine except it isn't displayed anywhere, had to ask someone. Place is small and even at 4pm it was crowded. Staff was friendly. Chips and salsas were good but nothing fantastic. I did like the crackers though. Tacos were decent and so were the chicken flautas. It did have a lot of filling but the chicken breast could have used some seasoning. It was suppose to come with avocado but lady never came back and I didn't see her after to ask. Limonada was good. Not overly sweet so if you want it super sweet then this is not it. Overall not sure why it's got such high marks but if you're hungry not bad. Maybe the options picked were not the best. Who knows.

Yelp
Can not say anything but amazing things for this perfect little spot! Customer service is amazing! Food is fresh! Reasonable! Tasty and always hits the spot. Love love love that they give you a little hot cup of the broth of the Caldo de Maricos. The tostadas they serve and the 2 different types of salsas/ cremas - TO DIE FOR!! Never thought I'd find seafood so fresh here in San Antonio. They have a huge menu from ceviches to tacos to seafood pastas and homemade desserts and caldos. Take a break and stop by!!

Yelp
It was 1pm before I figured out what I wanted to have for lunch - oysters and fish tacos. Yelp recommended this spot so off I went. The parking is small and I accidentally drove past the restaurant. If you're coming down culebra, it's shortly after you pass by he Gold's Gym. Golds is on the left and the restaurant is on the right. There are some tables with benches and a playground outside. I ordered oysters to eat there and then placed a to go order of the large ceviche and fish taco plate. Husband asked for a chicken quesadilla but they only have seafood, so I ordered two shrimp quesadillas. Turns out they were out of oysters so I threw an audible and asked for the ceviche to eat there while I waited on my to go order. While I'm super sad I didn't get to address my oyster craving, the ceviche was great! I asked for shrimp ceviche, but I think she heard mixed. Nonetheless, it was delicious and tasted super fresh! I had to stop myself from eating it all lol. The large cucumbers with tajin were a nice touch too. Fish taco plate - so I love fish tacos. This was OK. Fish could stand to have some salt or other seasonings. And I was kinda thinking plate meant that there would be more than just the tacos. Shrimp quesadilla - when I brought this home, it was wrapped like it was a burrito. So that threw me off. But the flavors were good. Husband enjoyed them. When boxing up my leftover ceviche to go, I kept eyeballing the dessert. So I picked up a super moist looking slice of tres leches. So good! In addition to some of the above issues, I knocked off a star because I asked for water to drink and never received it. Maybe next time, I'll call ahead to see if they have oysters before making the trek there.

Yelp
Last Sunday, Robyn of Ma's Ranch and Rescue had invited us to the Easter Bunny Bash at the Culebra Creek Park on the west side of town. I found @mariscosdelpuerto1 not too far from the park on Culebra and we headed there for lunch before the event. The place was very intimate and definitely full of customers. Dad and I had the Limonada Agua Frescas, and Hubby had Topo Chico. There was so much on the menu to choose from. We decided to try the Ceviche Pescado (fish), Caldo de Maricos (seafood), Mini Capitan, half dozen Ostiones (oysters), and 3/3/3 fish, shrimp and fried oysters with fries. So much fresh and good food. Paola was our server and she was very busy with the crowd. Glad we ordered medium-sized dishes as the portions were generous. If you're ever on the west side of town, check them out.

Yelp
Out and about running errands, we happily stumbled upon this place. Local fam owned business, that was bustling with customers inside. We didn't have to wait too long, as we were greeted immediately and a table was cleaned. Their large menu covered the entire table, so no need for reading glasses lol Being our first time, we asked our server for suggestions. She recommended the caldos and pastas. Complimentary to table - a basket of a red and green salsa, ketchup, salt, crackers, and tostadas. Also, received 2 small pourable metal containers of a brown broth, which we found out later was fish soup. We watched other locals sip, so that's what we did. It was piping hot and rich in flavor. We ordered: Caldo seafood - a medium bowl of a rich seafood broth ( I could taste the shrimp in the broth), with an abundant amount of seafood. Sinaloa- a beautifully plated tower of ceviche seafood on a tostada, topped with sliced avocado, and next to two sliced cucumbers with tajin. Lots of flavor to both dishes and even though it may not looked like a lot of food, we were actually full afterwards. Prices are reasonable and service was prompt, fast, and friendly. I would def revisit : )

Yelp
Good service, the food is very good, and the seafood tastes fresh., as for ambiance, it is appropriate but think that they will need to expand, a lot of people like their food.

Yelp
Love it here so much, we rarely visit since it's way off the way but whenever we get the chance, it's always a great experience. The food is always fresh-tasting and on-point. Service is fast and the wait-staff are always on their toes, they always make sure they do their best speaking in English to non-Spanish speaking customers like us. There's this particular young lady server that's awesomely great with customer service, not sure what's her name is but she's consistently very pleasant and warm. Love that they have new menu cards on top of the printed menu on the table plus you could still browse their menu by scanning a QR code. The place like ok much more well-kept than before and their sanitary rating proves it all. They also have the parking space paved and it looks safer outside. Though they still need to fix their seats it still pretty much clean and cozy.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise it was coming to this restaurant! My husband and I love mariscos and usually go to the same spot but today we were on culebra and decided to give this place a try. From the outside I honestly was questioning if I wanted to eat here but when we got inside it was super clean and updated. Our server was super friendly and even gave us a sample of the Siete Mars soup because I saw someone else order it and had asked her what dish that was. We ordered the shrimp & octopus cocktail to start and it was delicious. I didn't even have to add hot sauce which I usually do at other places to add flavor. I ordered the shrimp a la ranchera and the flavor was perfect and it was the perfect portion for me. My husband got the fried shrimp and bread which he said was also really delicious. To drink we had micheladas with Indio beer and to our surprise those were also nice and salty and a little spicy just like we like them. We ended with the chocolate cake and will definitely be back!

Yelp
I'm visiting from chicago and decided to check this place out. IT IS SO GOOD! I got steak, shrimp and chile relleno tacos and could eat here again daily for the rest of my trip! they give you a little fish soup that is absolutely to die for. 11/10 definitely recommend

Yelp
There are not enough words to describe this gem. We've come for years, but I waited till I tried most of the menu. Heck the menu is literally on the table when you walk in. Everything has been good to amazing. This trip, we had some items that I wanted to try, and the fam had others. We came after church. Let me start by not understanding why this place isn't packed or have a wait. The level of execution on their plates is that of a high end restaurant. It blows any Mexican seafood, and traditional seafood restaurants away. They bring you tostadas and crackers with two amazing cream sauces. The kids love them! We had the Azteca and Chilacon tacos to start along with the de la casa burrito. They brought us homemade corn tortillas with our tacos. Didn't ask us, and they were perfect! I don't remember ever having a flour tortilla or if they even serve them. I will say it again, a well made corn tortilla will taste better than a flour one any day! The chilacon was one of the best tacos I've had in town. The azteca was no slouch either. They were both beautifully plated as well! The burrito was also great! My son the rice freak, had to have the arroz salseado. We all try each others food and it was as tasty as it looked! The parents(us) had pasta de camarones, and Sopa de Mariscos! Both were fantastic. The pasta belongs in a gourmet restaurant. I can go on and on about this place, then it wouldn't be a review but a novel. No place is perfect. There are a few negatives. The burrito has a strange Mediterranean taste to it. We couldn't figure it out. It seemed out of place, and can see some not liking the flavor profile, but we loved it! Also, the service(waitresses) isn't always that great and inconsistent. They tend to get in the weeds quickly which is a little confusing since we have never been in there when it was packed. The prices are great! Bravo to the real star of the place, the cook(s) who are back there obviously care about the food! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Yelp
Service was something else. Server came with a mouth of food to serve the other server forgot toppings for the street tacos. The fish taco was plain and smothered in a tomato dressing when I asked to have it taken back the server proceeded to tell me that I ordered it they couldn't change it. After saying I font care take it back they ended up bringing a fish taco! No onions no cabbage no nothing. The street tacos my daughter bought were dry flavorless. The shrimp cocktail was good. I've eaten here twice before about two years ago and never was the food like it was today and the service. Will not be coming back
google avatar

Erica V.

Yelp
Service was great and the reason I love going to a small locally run spot...flautas weren't great but it is a seafood spot so I didn't expect too much they were dry chewy and flavorless...BUT don't get hung up on that The 7 Mares Caldo WHAAaaa sooooo good!! It is jam packed with goods, octopus/clams/mussels/fish/shrimp/crawfish/clams/crablegs and veggies but mostly the good stuff...broth was savory not salty! Fried fish satisfied the picky hangry teen and in my eyes oof! That's a win...ceviche was gone in a minute and fully of flavor and the mixto tostada was really awesome as well...overall the place is a winner, I'd say go for the seafood and tacos skip the flautas rice and refried beans plate cuz it's a generous portion but not the best thing on the menu and the seafood is epic!

Eunice G.

Yelp
If you're in San Antonio and looking for a taste of the sea, you absolutely must visit Mariscos del Puerto. Their fresh, flavorful seafood dishes and their warm, inviting atmosphere make it a truly special dining experience. I always leave feeling satisfied and already planning my next visit!

Yelp
The restaurant itself is small and you seat yourself. The food here is fresh and full of flavor. Service was great! They didn't have alcohol listed on their menu, but they do offer it. Ordered the tostada sinaloa and quite delicious! A mix of octopus, shrimp , and fish. The chicken flautas were also good, and not greasy! Their rice and beans reminded me of how my mother makes them. So tasty! They did provide extra sauce in small containers, but they weren't as spicy as I anticipated. The green salsa was the spiciest, which we loved! Will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

James R.

Yelp
Love their fried catfish and shrimp. Prices are great don't forget to try their chichips
google avatar

Rolando R.

Yelp
Just moved to this side of town and did not know what to expect having eaten mariscos in Mexico. With that being said, the ceviche was excellent and the sopa de mariscos was as fresh as can be. Beer served very cold as it should be. I love that they start you with a taste of their caldito. Definitely worth the wait as there were people waiting to be seated outside. Will definitely return soon. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Great little hole in the wall Mexican food place. Amazing service! We enjoying coming here every time and it never disappoints. Come early though or expect to wait as it's a small place with limited seating

Yelp
Such a hidden gem! Wife and family brought me here for Fathers Day and everything was so delicious!!! The cocktail was probably my favorite but I also got the fried fish shrimp and oysters! The wife got ceviche and it was a 10/10. Our server was amazing and attentive and the place is small but peaceful! The prices are super reasonable! Personally; I hold this higher than the very popular local favorite El Bocanero!
google avatar

Steve L.

Yelp
The food was tasty and plentiful. Can't remember what I had but plan to return. I was someone else's guest but noted the menu pricing to be on the $$ side. Try them.
google avatar

Manuel O.

Yelp
Food was great! Prices not too bad service was ok not bad. They do charge for pretty much everything even extra tostadas for the ceviche. All in all I'd go back cause it's the closest fish spot by my house.
google avatar

Brad R.

Yelp
Stop in on Tuesday for their lunch special 10 pieces fish and fries. The menu includes Mexican seafood delicacies that are delicious.

Isabel C.

Yelp
I love this place! We have been eating here for years and have never been disappointed. If you are craving Mexican seafood, this is the best place. I recommend the vuelve a la vida cocktail- it's is fresh and tasty. I had always craved the seafood I grew up on but could never find a place that came even close until I tried Mariscos Del Puerto! This is the type of food I don't get tired of. The staff is always friendly as well as the owners. Definitely worth giving it a try!!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was not that good. No one could speak English. Hard to communicate.most of the food was not prepared like it should be.

Yelp
Wined and dined here last night. Great choice made by my boyfriend the beer was cold, food was excellent and service great. I had the grilled shrimp with fries and salad, perfect.

Ira E.

Yelp
Terrific place to eat with Authentic food especially The Delicious seafood and Gourmet Tacos

M. Christina G.

Yelp
The cocktail was good, but the fish dish highly recommended to my husband by the waitress was horrible. It was smothered with a white sauce that had very little flavor and it was not good, the tilapia fish was rubbery & tasted bad. It looked awful. Not going there again. Gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the seafood cocktail was good.
google avatar

Jayda M.

Yelp
Shrimp plate was disgusting. The smell of the place should've turned me away right then. But the server was very sweet and did her part of the job sufficiently.

Jason H.

Yelp
Excellent seafood in a relaxed atmosphere. Service is always quick and friendly and the prices are super reasonable. The tostadas are amazing!

Henry D.

Yelp
This place is very good, they have the most delicious seafood soup ever. The wait staff are very nice and the prices are not bad. Set in a plain humble atmosphere but the seafood is great. I visit frequently when I get the urge.
google avatar

Felix T.

Yelp
The food is magnificent. I'm never unsatisfied coming here. The masterpiece you get for the price is very reasonable. Every table was busy when I ate here last.

John T.

Yelp
We have not been here in a few weeks but we ready like this place. They start your meal with a seafood broth. Very tasty and stove hot. Also as a bonus before your meal, they bring out tortilla size flat tostada's and two types of picante. That green one is hot. The fish and chips is good choice. And the Posole excellent. Nice clean restaurant. Friendly waitstaff.
google avatar

Staci T.

Yelp
We were in town for a conference and someone suggested this restaurant. Absolutely wonderful. Very authentic. Will return next year.

JJ S.

Yelp
I dropped by Sunday evening to order the 10pc Family Pack. Food is prepared to order and was served hot along with crinkled fries. This place is a very friendly hole in the wall and the owners have been making improvements to the restaurant and the parking areas as well. The seafood Caldos are so good too. Order to go is available
google avatar

Angela F.

Yelp
Delicious Shrimp Ceviche! Made with fresh onion, tomatoes, red onion, clitranro, cucumber, and avocado. Perfect amounts of salt and pepper. Will be going back again soon.

Yelp
This is a hole in the wall restaurant. You know you are in the right place when you see Spanish speaking older customers eating here. I've been trying to look for more hole in the wall restaurants when I travel for work. This place is legit good. They have the whole menu on the talk as a placemat. Very smart. My waitress suggested Caldo de Mariscos since I couldn't decide since they really have lots of options to choose from. I also ordered the mini Flamingo. While waiting for the food to come out, I was munching on their homemade tortilla that are fried. They have two different sauce on the table that I use on the fried tortilla. It was so good. They also brought out a fish broth in a cute little gravy metal pourer. I didn't know at first what it is and what to do with it but the waitress told me it's fish broth and to just drink it. Caldo de Mariscos came out first and it was so delish! The soup has tilapia, shrimp, mussels and octopus. It was a nice portion so I had leftovers and I ended up eating it with rice the next day. The mini Flamingo was fresh tasting and I enjoyed it with the sauce they had at the table. I can't wait to come back for tacos Tuesday !
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
We actually got 4 tacos but I inhaled the first one before taking the picture. Food is fresh and tortillas are homemade. Server was lovely. Prices were fantastic. 4 dishes + 2 drinks ran about $20. Grilled fish taco was simple and beautiful. Chilaca was decadent.
google avatar

Loretta P.

Yelp
The food is always delicious and served with a nice presentation. Staff is friendly and attentive but not constantly hovering. Nice atmosphere, nothing fancy but all that matters is that it's clean and food is good! Plenty of parking. Definitely recommend!

Juan A.

Yelp
Food is amazing!!! Forgot to post the day of the visit just getting around to leaving a review.
google avatar

Samara S.

Yelp
Nice small place. Very friendly cashier and reasonable pricing. Ordered takeout ceviche and it came with sauces, lemons and a bag of tostadas. Ceviche came with avocado and cucumber on top too! Absolutely delicious and made well, the portion was good considering that I ordered a large and paid a reasonable amount. Will be back next time I'm visiting San Antonio!
google avatar

Mariel Feliz R.

Yelp
Best ceviche ever. I love love loveeeeee this place! They're all Super sweet and enjoyable too!
google avatar

Brent P.

Yelp
Don't judge a book by its cover as they say - what appeared to be fast food type joint like Captain D's, was quaint seafood Mexican restaurant with great prices, friendly staff and more importantly excellent fresh food. This place is delicious! Although they are famous for their fish tacos, the shrimp ceviche is awesome. Been here multiple times with different entrees and haven't been disappointed.

Olga W.

Yelp
Ceviche de pescado is delicious. Caldo de pescado also delicious. Great service from friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!
google avatar

Diana G.

Yelp
This small, hole in the wall restaurant is easy to pass up driving by. I decided to go as it was advertised as a must on Culebra street by the Current. The menu is big enough to satisfy everyone in your group. You seat yourself and then someone comes over with a basket of saltines and tostadas for you to snack on. Thank goodness for that since it took 40 minutes to get our meals. I ordered two shrimp tacos. The homemade corn tortillas were delicious. The tortillas are big, but they don't give you enough filling to fill them in. Half of my taco was just tortilla. One of the tacos was pretty good, but the other one was just a few shrimps swimming in spicy sauce. Our group also ordered the mini salmon tacos, a burger and a fish soup. I will say the only one satisfied was the person that ordered the fish soup. The fish soup was probably the only food worth the time we spent waiting. The wait staff was super friendly and it seems the delay was from the kitchen. I think they only had one cook working. The restaurant also sells Mexican food items to go in their refrigerated area.
google avatar

Raul L.

Yelp
As close as mexican style seafood as it can get, brought back memories from the mexican beach and portions are excellent, found this place by yelp and will keep coming in every time we go to san antonio.

Valerie M.

Yelp
Good food, quick service, basic atmosphere with basic facilities and delicious food. The food is by far the best part about this restaurant!
