Mariscos El Muchacho Alegre

In from Northern Colorado visiting family and was looking for late night local flavor. My husband found this gem of a restaurant. Music was awesome food was even better. Our waitress was top self just like our margaritas!! Thanks Daisy!

The food was good but a little over priced and they they have an enforced 18% tipping. It was only 3 of us and the check included an 18% tip; this usually happens at other restaurants with parties or groups of 6 or more people not 3! We paid $150 for 7 beers, 3 shots and 2 entrees. This was ridiculous!!

Great Service, super friendly staff. Drinks were great and food was even better, definitely recommend.

One ⭐ for great presention one ⭐ for good 🥭 Rita one ✨ for pretty waitress but the food isn't worth the price point I had shrimp 🍤 which honestly in a land locked state this was decent seafood 🦞 the mushrooms tasted like a.... 🥫 can 🥫 also the chips were stale I kinda guessed it wasn't going to be perfect just by the parking lots ... I live with an el Salvadoran family and tia does a better job at mi casa

10/10 would recommend go eat there immediately if you want to have an amazing family experience with amazing food and music!

This place was so baaaad! I ordered house margarita and it was only sweet and sour mix, the molcajete aguachiles Verde was only lime juice. The horchata was really bad as well. I don't recommend it at all. The servers were only talking and not helping the costumers, place was very dirty.

What a surprising find this was! Definitely a more hole in the wall spot. Went on a weekend, and they had a fun karaoke machine playing and one of the workers going table to table asking for song requests/karaoke from your own table making for a fun vibe. We had a group of three and ordered the mango ceviche, one of the mocajetes and some tacos. The tacos were not the best, but the ceviche was super fresh and delicious. It was a really large portion of ceviche for the price, and I thought it was totally worth it. The mango ceviche was definitely my favorite - standard comes with shrimp but you can also get it as a mix. Definitely planning to come back!

The food here was amazing! I usually can't do Mexican food due to the over-dependance on cumin, but there's a seafood side to the menu that is to die for. Will definitely come back and I hope to try more! I know that the ambience and style is a little lacking--and I do think that they could put a speaker in the kitchen so it isn't blaring in the lobby, but the food is amazing. Food wasn't slow either, and the service was nice and lovely. Can't wait to be back!

Food was really good but too expensive and the place is small. Also be prepared for the waitress to automatically add a 50$ tip to your bill

I just stop by this place to get food, paid for extra rice, but it was not include, we also order fajitas that supposed to include a side of rice and that was not included either, this is ridiculous, I called and the same person that took my order said the kitchen must to made a mistak, how she took the order and she also brought my order...

Not sure if it was because we came on Fathers Day but the service was super slow and inconsistent. We waited 25 for our drinks (basics like coke and waters) and still waited another 20mins for our food. Half of the order was wrong and some of our party had to wait extra for their food. Staff seemed overwhelmed and the restaurant wasn't even full. Would really have to be desperate to come back here Food was average. Not worth the ridiculous wait

I've never had the privilege of posting such an early review of a restaurant on Yelp. This will be the one I got to say that I found first. So right up front, this is not what most would think of as traditional Mexican food in that, it isn't dumbed down plates of various tortillas and meats covered in cheese and sauce. They don't have beans on the menu. This is really a regional restaurant with the menu being driven by the cuisine of the Sinaloa region of Mexico, which is why it is virtually all seafood. And it is incredible! The place is neatly decorated and clean. Service was first class. Good selection of beers and tequila. I had their torre Culichi. Insane! Deep, complex flavors to go with delicate and perfectly executed sea fare like scallops, prawns and octopus. Looking forward to exploring more of the menu. New favorite, can't miss spot in Denver!

Yummy, spicy, flavorful sea food and a really good variety of dishes! They have a pretty decent variety of Mexican beers! The drinks are a must! Cantaritos if you like tequila and micheladas for all the beer lovers out there! Good customer service, place is clean, good portions in every dish, they have live music on fridays and karaoke over the weekend! 5 of 5 will recommend, they always have amazing promotions through social media!

Walk in for lunch. waitresses were on it before I can even ask for anything they took care of what I needed the food was absolutely delicious and I will be going back definitely one of my favorite places now

All it needs is smarter waitress and it would be a perfect Restaurant, Food and drinks are excellent, Food is brought to us almost 1 hour later...!!! (Better servers please) maybe someone just cleaning tables to help,

Will come back here again! The octopus there is great. This is q traditional mexican seafood place. And my taste buds loved it.

Wish I could give this place 0 starts. This is by far the worst seafood place I have every tried. I ordered bacon wrapped shrimp and they where so over cooked, the rice was beyond salty. While I was there someone brought in their puppies, that was completely unsanitary! If you are looking for some drama, this is your place. While my husband and i where trying to eat the nasty food, there was a real cat fight. The waitress and a lady got in a real bad argument, over the lady's husband.

Wow, what a great surprise to find the quality of seafood at Mariscos El Muchacho Alegre. Friendly service with unique flavorings on amazing seafood. Well done including music on weekends! I loved it.

Horrible service, our food took over an hour so we decided to leave, we just told them we wanted to pay for our drinks and the girl gave us attitude.
