Yelp
Authentic Mexican restaurant located far away from the touristy spots near the marina. This is frequented by locals and is a name that when mentioned will get you a long si with a big smile. I had to try it!
Took a taxi over and as I was driving closer and closer, looking out my window I could see the businesses change from nice store fronts to mix match, multi colored, hand written signs; I knew I was getting the real deal.
El Torito was a very nice building as we got there; very safe and clean. I walked in and was amazed of the size of the place, it's big and has like 4-5 kitchens. They even have a children's play area for 2-6year olds age range with slides, playhouse, toys ... enough to keep them busy.
I was greeted by a friendly waiter and since It was my birthday I ordered the best, deep fried Red Snapper and Michelada Rojo ( I've noticed you have to tell them Rojo otherwise it's made without Clamato but a different mix- common in Cabo). My gf ordered ceviche tostada and shrimp cocktail.
We were given complimentary chips and salsa (6 flavors) and a bowl of seafood broth (tasty, different but not bad).
Ceviche Tostada- good
Shrimp cocktail- good
Micheladas- good
Red Snapper- AWESOME! just looking at it , Smelling it and the first bite, incredible flavor ... It was sooooo good.
If you want to experience authentic... try this place out. Red snapper!
