"Mariscos El Torito may be the most popular Los Cabos restaurant you’ve never heard of. The cavernous seafood spot is a favorite among locals, and it does appear as a lunch stop in some city tours. But by and large, it flies under the tourism radar. Seek it out and you’ll find heaping portions of affordably priced ceviche, stuffed clams, fish tacos, and pescado zarandeado , a pre-Columbian recipe of butterflied whole fish that’s grilled over holm-oak coals for a marvelously smoky flavor. The almejas especiales are a souped-up preparation of raw chocolate clams with octopus, fresh salsa, and more. You’ll spot families celebrating special occasions here, and it’s so kid-friendly there’s even a play area, complete with a miniature merry-go-round."

Google
If you're ever in Cabo and looking for a spot that truly feels local, this restaurant is a must-visit. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the cleanliness stood out right away. The seafood is fresh and flavorful, with the battered pescado and shrimp tacos being absolute highlights—they’re as delicious as they sound! On top of the great food, the prices are very reasonable, making it an incredible value. It’s a place worth revisiting, without a doubt.

We arrived a little early to catch a quick lunch before heading to the airport. Glad we did because we nothing at the airport would be as good. This came recommended by our Airbnb host and didn't disappoint. Food and service were excellent, with selection of either whole fish or filets with different sauces. We tried one with cilantro and one with chipotle. Both were fantastic.

Google
Two employees from Casa Dorada recommended this place for Mariscos. We went when they opened on a Saturday, and we shared 3 plates: atun ceviche, oysters with shrimp and avocado, and a fried fish. Let me just say that we ate every single ounce of food. It was absolutely hands down the tastiest. I'm still dreaming about the atun ceviche! I've never had ceviche like that, and it did not disappoint. I really liked their menu because it came with pictures so you can see the dishes. That made it easy for my non spanish speaking friends to decide what they wanted without having to read the menu in spanish. The aguas were tasty as well. We ordered melon, guava, and cucumber mint. We wanted to wash it down with beer, but it was election day, and it's illegal to serve alcohol on voting days in Mexico... bummer, but the aguas were delicious, and we got over it real quick. After our meal we took a taxi back. They restaurant is large and spacious. It has lots of tables and can accommodate large parties. It was warm when we were there, and I was glad we got there early enough before the heat started because it didn't look like they had ac. We loved it... but don't take my word for it. Go check them out if you're in town.

Google
Such a cool place with GREAT food. Awesome prices (avg $12-$16 per plate) and food was delicious. I asked concierge where he would eat dinner with his family. Did NOT disappoint!! Great flip style menu had pics of every dish. Prices were on regular paper menu. Beers were ICE COLD!! ($2 each)

Yelp
Recommended by my friend from Puerto Vallarta who claims this is the best place in Cabo. Have it a try for lunch with my daughter. Did not disappoint! Had the tuna tartare and the aguachile. Menus in Spanish, English and a picture book if you are not certain. A huge array of salsas and tostadas and crackers. Both were delicious and we promised to come back.

Yelp
During our visit in Cabo, we tried this restaurant by taxi drivers recommendation because the restaurant we wanted to go was closed on Thursday. Food was good. Very similar to the one we wanted to go. Grilled octopus is a must. The best grilled octopus we have ever had. Service was so so. Not rude but not friendly or welcoming. If they had better service, the whole experience would be so much better.

Yelp
The food is absolutely disgusting. TRASH!!!! For being so close to the ocean the seafood taste awful. Oysters were warm, shrimp cocktail was bland, wife ordered camarones al cilantro and the shrimp smelled funny. My son ordered mozzarella sticks and they were sour. I would avoid this place at all cost

Yelp
Our uber driver took us to his local favorite! And it was the best seafood and satisfied us!! Everything was so fresh and no complaints! Place is so big and spacious. They also have a kids-zone where little toy houses and slides are. Service was really good, our server checked with us multiple times and very kind. Will be back everytime we come to cabo!!

Yelp
Best Marisco's in Cabo San Lucas and the prices were better than the downtown restaurant

Yelp
Octopus and sangria is my go-to dish. Octopus with chile ajillo is my favorite. But the stuffed shrimp chille relleno is awesome. I just love this place. The restaurant can close early.
google avatar

Yelp
The meals were fantastic. We especially liked the shrimp and octopus special and the shrimp chili relleno. The service was good as was the atmosphere.

Yelp
Everything was delicious. The seafood tray: Botana El Torito was delicious and fresh. The shrimp cocktail is clam and tomato juice based, everything was fresh. The salsas were really tasty. I had a Pacifico light nicely prepared with lime juice and salt. We also had a strawberry Icecream/shake which was delicious. The Guyana pie is a Mazatlan staple and they did not miss the mark. It was delicious. One of my must stops in Cabo

Yelp
INCREDIBLE!!! Best seafood I've ever eaten anywhere! Staff is friendly and plenty of them speak good English!
google avatar

Yelp
This food was so good! I had the Camarones Al coco and my husband had camarones y pulpo Al ajillo. They were both excellent! Both dishes had good flavor and were fresh. Good service. Live music.

Yelp
This respite was recommended to us by a taxi driver I highly recommend. We went with a group of 10 people we all ordered something different and everyone enjoyed their plate I ordered the lobster tails they were very delicious the octopus was extremely delicious the restaurant was clean the restroom was clean the service was great they took a little long to service but the food was so good we didn't mind and the price excellent Almost forgot the flan was so super delicious oh my gosh I think it was probably one of the best plans I've ever had

Yelp
Definitely a go to spot for delicious, yet affordable seafood. Go where the locals go. The service was impeccable and the seafood was absolutely delicious. I will be sadly missing this restaurant, until next time I'm back in Cabo. The butter sautéed crab was super flavorful.

Yelp
Excellent food at a reasonable price I will be back ,we had the fish and a shrimp trio which rocked

Yelp
This place was HIGHLY recommended by our friends who come to Cabo every 2 months. This is Our first time in Cabo and we decided to have lunch here instead of the resort, This place is BOMB! OH-my-God.... The oysters, the aguachiles, the ceviche etc... the service was great. Thank you Ramsey for making our first time experience a memorable one. We will be back to soon
google avatar

Callie C.

Yelp
Food is mediocre. Fried fish and the meat dish is extremely salty. Raw Oysters not cold at all, served warm and did not taste fresh. Drinks are very warm and watered down. They don't give you enough ice in the drinks. One of those places where the pics look better than it taste. I think only 1 waiter speaks English. I would not recommend.

Cynthia G.

Yelp
Great spot for ceviche and aguachile! We wouldn't order any of the fried items on the menu, they were over cooked. The service is wonderful and the prices are very reasonable. We would visit again for ceviche and aguachile.

Osvaldo Y.

Yelp
The torre de mariscos was really good as well as the ceviche de mango with cooked shrimp. The prices are amazing for the amount of food!

Yelp
This place is worth the journey out of town! The best whole fish we have had here yet and super affordable. Service was friendly and fantastic (helps if you speak a bit of Spanish... as it's a local spot) order the red snapper whole fried with garlic. You will not be disappointed! The only negative, but not their fault, is that there were a ton of flies! It's a mainly outdoor restaurant but they could do with adding some of those neon fly trap lights. The food though, omg can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Came here on an 8 hour port stop. Lucky our driver took us! So delicious! Two menus. One Menu with just pictures. Everything delicious. Strong drinks and fabulous desserts! They accommodated our picky 7 year old as well! They have an enclosed play area for the kids and is just a great family restaurant. They even told us to stop ordering because it was too much food!
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is great! You have an amazing selection of seafood ceviches, the typical Mexican food and everything else that you don't see in most USA, Mexican restaurants. It's a 1/2 mile away from the typical tourist area and doesn't have AC but there is a play area for children and a mariachi band that was very good! We had ceviche tostadas; 1 shrimp and 1 tuna. Each is sufficient for an individual lunch. Ate chicken stuffed yellow peppers which had less heat than what you would find in a chili relleno. 4 different sauces with varied heat, the hottest still tolerable for many Americans.

Peter K.

Yelp
Excellent fresh seafood and the prices are very reasonable. Excellent food.

Yelp
Nice place. But No menu in English, which is a bummer. I have been to this place many times but always had a hard time choosing on a menu. Clams (almejas) are pretty good, as well as oysters. Ostiones especial were not so special, just plane oysters ($19) good enough. Sashimi tuna was average (it's not a fresh tuna! (previously frozen), the same they add to "special oysters" together with avocado and little shrimp and onions... not sure what's so special about it). Octopus with garlic and butter was good, but my husband didn't like it. Ice cream menu was tempting, next time will try for sure.

TheYster A.

Yelp
Great locals spot. Our tour driver recommended this place as a regular spot for his family. It's best if you can read and speak Spanish but we found someone who could help navigate the menu. Tuna ceviche was amazing. Most dishes were very affordable compared to more touristy spots.

Yelp
Holy Kr-izap! Cabo you have another non-touristic rinconcito(corner spot) in your beautiful city!! MARISCOS el Torito. "Gustan un consomé?" YES. SAY YES!!! Torre de mariscos, Molcajete de callo and almeja chocolata. Can't go wrong with the 3. This place is kid friendly, so bring the fam-bam. If you got a non all inclusive and want to eat some food quality fresh seafood, tell your taco to bring you here. Don't let them convince you of another place just because they are going to make Commision off of your bill.. trust me!!!
google avatar

Meztli A.

Yelp
I ordered the grilled fish in mango sauce and it was delicious! Hubby had the Aguachiles, they are served in a molcajete and were very delicious. We also ordered lobster tails one in butter sauce and the second in garlic sauce and they were amazing! Could not pick one as my favorite. Very good local food, and great price.
google avatar

Rocio G.

Yelp
Ceviche Al Mango is full of flavor and color it's a great cold dish to enjoy. The ostiones especial have raw tuna, shrimp, and they are topped with onions smothered is black sauce very delicious. Last we ordered the mariscada it's the largest plate with all kinds of sea food including lobster it was very fulfilling! If you love sea food you'll love this place.

Yelp
Amazing!!! Someone in the housekeeping department at the resort we were staying at told us to come to Mariscos El Torito. It doesn't matter what you pick on the menu; it was fabulous, and the menu is huge. You could come here every single day of your seven day trip and eat something different and It will be great. I highly recommend the place. You will love it! Also, I never write reviews, so that tells you how good it is.

Paul B.

Yelp
On our glass bottom boat tour our captain said this was the best local traditional seafood ceviche spot. It was about a 1 mile walk from marina. He was right. For around $70 US we had three enormous plates of scallop, tuna, and seafood (octopus, shrimp, fish) ceviche, 2 beers, 3 mango frozen cocktails and a fried whole red snapper. Amazing!

Connie G.

Yelp
Great place to eat if you like Mariscos....this place is THE best place to eat...loved the food ad atmosphere...

Yelp
Such fresh and tasty seafood! Loved the pulpo al ajio and the molcajete. Affordable and super friendly staff too!

Yelp
hands down one of the best places to have fresh seafood and eat among the locals. we walked about a mile from our hotel, but worth every step the led us to this hidden gem. Price are reasonable and excellent customer service.

Yelp
Authentic Mexican restaurant located far away from the touristy spots near the marina. This is frequented by locals and is a name that when mentioned will get you a long si with a big smile. I had to try it! Took a taxi over and as I was driving closer and closer, looking out my window I could see the businesses change from nice store fronts to mix match, multi colored, hand written signs; I knew I was getting the real deal. El Torito was a very nice building as we got there; very safe and clean. I walked in and was amazed of the size of the place, it's big and has like 4-5 kitchens. They even have a children's play area for 2-6year olds age range with slides, playhouse, toys ... enough to keep them busy. I was greeted by a friendly waiter and since It was my birthday I ordered the best, deep fried Red Snapper and Michelada Rojo ( I've noticed you have to tell them Rojo otherwise it's made without Clamato but a different mix- common in Cabo). My gf ordered ceviche tostada and shrimp cocktail. We were given complimentary chips and salsa (6 flavors) and a bowl of seafood broth (tasty, different but not bad). Ceviche Tostada- good Shrimp cocktail- good Micheladas- good Red Snapper- AWESOME! just looking at it , Smelling it and the first bite, incredible flavor ... It was sooooo good. If you want to experience authentic... try this place out. Red snapper! Cost for 2 people , 3 dishes, appetizers, side of beans, 4 large micheladas $38 usd

Yelp
8.2017 Mango Ceviche, light refreshing, YUM! Don't be put off by the slight distance it will be worth it.

Yelp
We were craving some delicious seafood and I'm glad to say we found the perfect spot. Mariscos el Torito has great service and fresh seafood. We tried a variety of dishes but definitely try the ceviche al mango and the ostiones especials

Yelp
Amazing ceviche & aguachile! We went with a local Mexican who knows the best places. Highly recommended!
