Dona Angela y Maribel are going to take such good care of you. The shrimp and fish tacos are sublime. Don’t forget to be generous with the toppings and follow it with a slice of chocoflan. I dream about this place regularly. The food is heavenly.

Google
Mariscos la Alegria is AMAZING. What a spot for fish and shrimp tacos (and I'm not the biggest shrimp fan). Unfortunately, I wanted to try their steak, but they didn't have it available. The seafood is delicious here. I'm a huge fan of their toppings. They provide onions, cabbage, and pico de gallo in large qtys so you can load up your tacos to your taste buds. The best way to do it! Their homemade flour tortillas are delicious. I dream of this restaurant since going back to Norcal. It is a disservice to gatekeep this spot...but I had to share because of how good it is!!! Parking out front is minimal, otherwise, street parking only. I can't wait to be back!

Been coming here for almost 20 years and I absolutely love it here. The service is top notch, the food is unmatched in quality and the prices are great. Truly one of the best flour shrimp and fish tacos you’re going to find in Baja. Truly the best. Also the owners are the sweetest, the taught me years ago how to make tortillas

Came here on our ATV tour with our guides Waldo and Omar. Honestly, when I saw the place, and the menu, I didn't think too much about it. But Waldo told us about ordering a fish taco on flour and corn tortillas. It sure did not disappoint. The corn tortilla had one piece of fried fish, and the flour tortilla had 2 pieces of fried fish. The restroom was really clean, but the men's restroom (or the one on the left) lacked a toilet seat.

Google
Located in the middle of Primo Tapia, this place knows how to do shrimp. Handmade tortillas are amazing! I've also had fish and carne asada and order a carne taco every time we go. They bring all the toppings to your table so you can custom build to your liking. Nothing like a shrimp quesadilla and ice cold Indio to satisfy my hunger while in the big city of Primo Tapia. My wife's favorite spot.

Google
My family and I went back two days in a row! We got the shrimp tacos and quesadillas. The shrimp was fresh. The hand made tortillas were delicious! Please be patient with your food as everything is made to order. Another plus, you get to add your own condiments/toppings to your liking! I'll definitely be going back.

Google
The best place for fish tacos, burritos, shrimp ceviche and you must try their garlic shrimp plate. Best of all it is almost like a make your own style tacos/burritos, they supply all the fixings so you make it just how you like it. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Yelp
TL;DR: The fish tacos are off the charts - can't beat these tortillas First off, these tacos are huge, practically burritos The fish is fried perfectly and the texture contrast between the fry and the tortilla was perfect Love the fact that they provide tupperwares with shredded cabbage, pico, and onions Feels like I'm family :) Don't sleep on the full fried fish as well. Super fresh and perfectly fried Comes with tortillas so you can make your own tacos Gracias y salud, Mariscos la Alegria!

Yelp
The tacos were SO good at this little road side stand. I loved that they brought out pickled onions and cabbages and we could kind of build out own tacos to perfection. We will be back every day this week of our vacation!

Yelp
Food was very good. We didn't realize flour tortillas are burrito size and corn are taco size. Service was great. Restaurant was clean. Nice and open dining. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Flor's daughter is doing a great job with the business. The food is still outstanding and the expansion of the dining area is great. The best fish taco on Earth, come here. Do youirself a favor, order ONLY the fish taco on a flour tortialla. Biggest handmade flour tortillas in captivity.

Yelp
SEAFOOD TACOS Tacos in Mexico aren't small! This place was my first meal in Mexico ever. I've only been to Mexico three times in my life, first time was diving in Coronados Island - never touched land. The other two were back to back random trips - on land. After motor-crossing in the Baja Mountains all day, we came here for some eats before heading back to the border. You can imagine how hungry we were! It's a locals place with the traveling word to the tourists. Portions to price, excellent! Everyone's order "1 fish taco flour tortilla". In my mind, I assumed tacos in Mexico were all street taco size and thought to myself, we were MX'ing all day aren't people hungry? My order "1 fish taco flour tortilla, 1 shrimp taco corn tortilla". What came to me, a burrito sized fish taco and a street size and a half shrimp taco. "Jane, I forgot to tell you the flour tortillas are big." This place is a do-it-yourself add the extras. They had plastic Tupperware with fresh chopped tomatoes and onions. Tupperware of marinated purple onions. And another Tupperware of salsa. And a squirt bottle of sauce. The person who knows crap about Mexico (me) asks "why doesn't the pico de gala not have cilantro". The local laughed and said "that would be the color of our flag. No cilantro." RECOMMEND. FISH TACO - loved the fresh flour tortilla. I'd say that was one of the best fish tacos I've had. I'm usually not a fan of fish tacos at all but this one was really good. Nice light batter, very crunch, fish fillet was flavorful, moist, and flaky. It was a lot to eat I couldn't finish it and bagged it up for the border. SHRIMP TACO - served on the traditional corn tortilla and regular size and manageable to eat in one sitting. The corn tortilla was white I like the yellowish color we see in the US. Again, I'm usually not a fan of shrimp tacos but this shrimp taco was the best I've had. The shrimp was fresh and tasty without the strong shrimp taste and nice and crunchy. I liked this taco better than the fish taco. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Not sure how much they cost because i was treated but I'm sure it was no more than $1-$1.50 per taco. Good stuff! Until the next review...

Yelp
The Best place for Shrimp and fish ceviche. Fish tacos Baja style. I am sooo pleased I will highly recommend this place to you!!!! Besides customer services is amazing!!! Este lugar es uno de los mejores lugares para comer ceviche de pescado y de mariscos. También tacos de pescado tipo baja. Les recomiendo este lugar, aparte que el servicio es excelente!!!

Yelp
Seriously the best place to eat in between Rosarito and Puerto Nuevo. They have the best fish and shrimp tacos. Their carne asada is also amazing. The sides are fresh and the drinks are ice cold. You have to work a little to find parking, which is what I did as I was part of a three car caravan. I won't tell you how much me and my friends spent cause I don't want to wait a long time the next time I visit if you catch my drift. Let's just say Taco Tuesday's at Rubio's north of the border is much more expensive! I'll be back for sure if and when I visit Baja Mexico again. Muchas Gracias mi amigas!

Yelp
So good! The best fish tacos I have ever eaten. The reviews don't lie. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Best fish tacos! Batter is thin and crispy, flour tortillas are thin and taste homemade. Definitely my first stop into Mexico! There is seating inside and counter space outside.

Yelp
My 700th review is dedicated to Flor and her daughters who own and operate the most delicious seafood stand in Baja California. It is located just south on the free (libre) road that goes from Rosarito Beach to Ensenada. From the toll (cuota) road you take the Cantamar (Primo Tapia) exit at marker KM53 and go two blocks south. I have been enjoying Flor's fish tacos for over 20 years. Light and crispy batter is put on fresh fish and fried so fast and hot that it doesn't get greasy or oily. Light and airy. At the same time, handmade masa is rolled and flattened and then put on a very hot flat top to make that beautiful flour tortilla in the picture. It is almost crepe-like in texture, with tasty little burn marks. You get to dress up your taco with all the things that Flor has prepared such as shredded cabbage, crema, salsa fresca (cruda), marinated sliced white onions, salsa picante and limon (lime). You cannot find a piece of fish in a fish taco this large anywhere along the coast of Baja California. This is the king of the fish tacos. One fish taco this size is $2. Two is a lot to eat. I always have two. Flor also has shrimp cocktails, ceviche, caldo de siete mares and many other mariscos on the menu. Only soft drinks are here, but there is a beer distributor across the street. Cantamar (Primo Tapia) is about 11 miles south of downtown Rosarito Beach along the ocean. It has some of the best local restaurants without the crowds, noise and bad behavior of the low-life tourists in Rosarito Beach.

Yelp
Our favorite fish taco spot in Baja. We drive through this little town on our way to La Salina every couple months. We always stop here for delicious fresh fish and shrimp tacos.

Yelp
Going to Rosarito, Mexico? Put this place on your bucket list. Take two magnificent fish chunks, battered and seamlessly fried to a super crunchy outside yet tender inside, wrap them in one of the most delicately, thin flour tortillas made on earth, then smother them in cabbage, pico de gallo, more cilantro, onion, crema, salsa, and lime juice, and you have a fish taco like no other. Halleluiah. Amen.

Yelp
Beat shrimp tacos I've ever had.. homemade flour tortillas and their consome is great friendly service ‍

Yelp
Amazing sea food!! I highly recommend their flour tacos if fried fish. Tortillas made fresh to order and the ceviche de pescado

Yelp
Best fresh fish and shrimp you can get in town. Price and quality is amazing and it's made from scratch in a small home style kitchen by the same mom and daughters for years.

Yelp
Been coming for years this is all that matters. Come worship this Mecca of Baja. I praise these women and the fishies they lay in that oil. This is everything and more. Come get u some

Yelp
My family and I have been coming to this spot for the last 14 years and the consistent food quality and service is what keeps us coming back every weekend! The fish tacos, shrimp tacos, ceviche, agua chile, micheladas, EVERYTHING is top quality. I say skip the over priced restaurants in Puerto Nuevo or the over popularized Splash tacos. Mariscos Alegria is where it's at.

Yelp
One of the best places to eat in Primo Tapia south of Rosarito by about 20 minutes. They have killer fish tacos and even better shrimp quesadillas. My go-to order is the quesadillas de camaron en mantequilla (shrimp sautéed in butter). They serve tacos and quesadillas with sides of onions in lemon juice, shredded cabbage, pico de gallo (tomato & onion salsa, good for gringos who don't like spice), and a ketchup bottle of sour cream and another one of chile (spicy salsa) that is super tasty and adds a nice kick.

Yelp
Thanks to Denny B., this was our best discovery on this trip to Rosarito/Puerto Nuevo. The information that he provided, however, was also greatly supplemented by another friend who spends a lot of time there and does a lot of fishing. We went and, based on recommendations, I ordered a fish taco and a shrimp taco with the shrimp sauteed in a garlic butter and served on a flour tortilla. The fish taco was very, very good; but the shrimp taco: O. My. God! It was great. And not only was it delicious, it was HUGE! Everything was extremely fresh and wonderfully prepared. My single biggest regret of this trip is that I only went to La Alegria once - can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Just as other reviews have mentioned, this place is great. Mom & Daughter had just opened for lunch. Sweet, clean and delicious. Only Fish or Shrimp today, The tortilla's were the lightest best most perfectly grilled that I have had in MX so far. I had a fish and a shrimp taco, and a can of Tecate red. Yes they have some beer. Just depends on what's in the cooler. I appreciated the naked tacos - you "dress" them yourselves with fresh pico de gallo, cream, cabbage, onions, and a selection of hot sauces - one is homemade. Very generous helpings of seafood. I actually preferred the fish. All batter fried. 3 Shrimp, one fish, one coke, one beer - 125 pesos. Happy to have tried a new spot and will definitely go back.

Yelp
Amazing tacos! Adorable little restaurant. The ladies running the place are welcoming and whip up some great eats! We had the shrimp and fish tacos. They serve you the tacos naked and have a condiments bar with all the fixins to make a great custom tacos! They serve beer so you can enjoy the tacos have a beer and see the ocean. All in all they are a great place and cant wait to make it a staple in the stops I make when I am down.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years and it's always been our go to spot. My girlfriend and I always have to stop here when we come to Rosarito. BEST SHRIMP TACOS! (more like the size of a burrito tbh)

Yelp
Just about the best place on Earth to eat seafood. From Cebiche, Tacos Fish/Shrimp, Cocktails, Soups! You name it! It is always great flavor and fresh food :) !!

Wendy R.

Yelp
My family has been coming here for many years since we bought our house in Puerto Nuevo. Superb fish and shrimp tacos! The agua chile and ceviche are also delicious! Definitely recommend you stop by here if you're going to Rosarito or to Ensenada!

Yelp
Had the shrimp and fish tacos here and they were the best I've ever had. Each serving was generous and the fish and shrimp were expertly seasoned. It will be a must stop for all my future trips into Baja.

Yelp
By far the best Baja Tacos I've ever had. Their combo is the best deal and comes with a cervesa. Yummmmm

Sally P.

Yelp
Headed to puerto nuevo? Just about 1 mile more, you get to the best shrimp in town. Love love love this place. The ladies are so welcoming. The shrimp is perfect, made with garlic and butter, no batter, just scrumptious.
